Namimori Market District

This is the Namimori Market District. This is where many people come to hang out, shop, eat, and relax. There are hundreds of shops to look around in and many street vendors wanting to get your attention. It is a grand place to be if you don't have anything going on and you always feel welcome in any shop no matter how you are.

Please remember that there are many nice people in this area so be as polite as you can and try not to draw or cause a problem in this area. If the people get involved or see the Mafia world, the Mafia Underground Force will have no choice but to erase some memories, or worst "Delete them for Existence" along with any family they may have.

Shiiba Shecnex - F-rank
Galimon 3rd gen - Cloud Guardian

A clouded chatter of people swarming in, and out of the many restaurants of the Namimori Market District. Steps to, and fro the streets that are clean to the standards of tourist. To the point of view of the citizens of Namimori, They view it as a stop which it gets revenue from Tourist, and Phonies mostly. The Downtown area of the Market District is a more, or less lively place compared to the Tourist District captures the essence of the true Namimori. A quarrel between ruffians began to happen inside a mid-sized traditional tea-shop. Two opposite street gang members started to argue loudly, and started to disturb the hand full of people that were previously having a good time. A figure in dressed in a namimori Highschool uniform was sitting down enjoying some rice until the shuffled began to effect the customers. The student got up, and began to walk towards the two ruffians with a jitte in his right hand. The gang member on the left looked towards the student. "You're a student from Namimori Highschool, right?." The other member on the right added to his statement. "Just go home, kid." He said with emphasis on the 'kid' part. The student in a flash struck down the gang member on the left with the back of Jitte's handle. The student spoke in a cold tone. "Best if you leave now....before I beat you down." The other member started walk out of the establishment slowly, and then finally ran off. The student sat down again, and began to his rice again. "Thank you Shiiba-san." A waitress said in a enthusiastic tone while bringing him some sweet dumplings. "This meal is on the house." She said as she walked in the back of the restaurant. Shiiba began to eat the rice slowly as the restaurant was settled down now.

Shiiba took a sip of the tea that was next to the dumplings, and slowly pulled out some coins out of his pocket, and left it right next to the empty bowl of rice. He left the dumplings untouched, and began to walk out of the restaurant. He walked down the streets of the market district, and towards the general direction of Namimori High school. Five minutes after he walked out of the restaurant, The waitress came walking out quickly with the money in her hand looking for Shiiba. He was out of the range of sight from the entrance of the restaurant. The waitress smiley gently as she walked back inside the building.

The entire ride there, he found himself rather bored with the whole trip. Whether it was him being used to more exciting rides with military vehicles, or if the sights didn't catch his interest, all he knew was he had yawned an uncountable times and nearly fallen asleep at one point during his venture to a different part of the city. The taxi finally came to a stop as he had finished yet another yawn, his hand up to cover his mouth. Surprised that it was over, expecting to go on forever, it took him a moment to make his way out of the car. He did get out, his bags in tow as he walked up to the driver side window the cab. Looking down he waited for the driver to give him the total of the trip. A few moments passed, waiting for him to look at the meter than look towards him. To be honest it really wouldn't matter since he couldn't understand a single word the man was saying, and he had none of their currency at the moment. So reaching into his pocket, he just pulled out a handful of bills and placed it in the drivers outstretched hand. He didn't stand around waiting for a reaction, just turning around and headed towards the center of the area he was in. If he had paid attention he would have noticed a very angry look on the man's face, not quite sure what to do with the currency.

Walking around the market area, he was taken back by all that he was seeing. Never had he been able to experience such a place with so many people around all with the same good mood. It was infectious, as he found himself looking around at everything with a smile on his face. It didn't matter what he was seeing, be it a kid begging their parent for some food from a vending machine, or if it was just an old couple sitting on a bench. He wanted to join in the festivities of everything, but wasn't too comfortable with the thought of leaving his bags on the ground out in the open while he played some . So for now he would pass on going to have some fun, and make a mental note to have to return at a later once he'd found some arrangements for living.

Moving through the market district, he had found himself hungry once more not fully satisfied from his traumatizing incident with the sushi from the airport. So looking around, he spotted a few little carts peddling some food, and had to look carefully at each before making a decision. Spotting one that looked safe to eat, he made his way over to the cart. His reasoning for thinking it was safe, was the fact a few kids were surrounding it waiting to get food of their own. Now he assumed if kids were eating it, it would be okay for him, since when he was a child he was so picky that it only made sense to him that everyone else would be. After waiting for a few minutes, it was finally his turn and he managed to see the food item. It appeared to be a donut of sorts, just being a giant dough ball covered in what looked like sugar. Satisfied with it, not minding that it was junk food, he held it hand up sticking up one finger indicating he only wanted one. After getting it and paying for it, he would step away from the cart and stand there eating it. A smile on his face, he would just look around contemplating on what to do nice as he just munched away on his little treat.

Sinai Konata

There were many things Sinai believed that she could not do in her own power. She was the type to easily believe that opportunties existed within every set of situations. But even so, she realized, that some things just don't work the way it was planned. The resulting action of an impulsive visit led to her ultimate, utter embarassment. What will he be thinking of her by now?! In her imagination, he'll probably be all like; Idiot phan-girl, or 'that one's black listed' for loitering in the committee room! His reactions were too scary for her to handle on her wits and nimbly sprinted out a quarter mile from the school before stopping somewhere outside it's vicinity to catch her breath. Without even knowing, a tear slipped own her right cheek. "Crud." And she kicked a pebble on where she stood.

Sinai didn't notice earlier, but her running had subconsciously brought her head in the market district. Sulking in public didn't help much anyway. But it was due to her personality that her current emotions were reserved for a later time. For now, she let herself pass by some familiar and fascinating venues. One place she often went to see was a small, but homely bakery cafe. For someone who has done so much shopping in the past, she still had enough pocket money to spend on a few dumplings or two. Looking at her wristwatch, the time was still big and there wasn't much to do once she would leave. Unlike other girls her age, Sinai did not have many friends to hang out with. Although it didn't take her too long to escape from her day dreaming. She had been staring at a mannequin for five minute now. Sinai fell it was more valuable to see that it's hollow plastered eyes were more captivating than what it had around it's neck.

Out of a pre-developed habit, Sinai pinched the engagement ring that was hung over her own neck. She didn't quite understand why though, as most things did not explain themselves quite well at first. Then out of the blue, Sinai noticed a transparent suitcase just around the glassy frame that was cast inbetween her and the jewelry decor. A man with some rocker-fashion style to match, sitting down. Sinai took that gesture into thinking he was a street performer in the art of music. She turned around to again, realize that he was just a few meters adjacent on another end. She observed to see whether or not if he had some case to collect money or flowers in but there were none, much less an instrument. Still, her mind was really addle at this point and just stood amongst the moving crowd. Just staring at his hair and assuming he would be foreign with his bag. Somehow, she began to picture herself when she first arrived here. But it wasn't important as a memory. Her eyes then trailed to his face, merely curious of his ethnicity and facial expressing. It was just one of those funny things to test in other people. To see if they can actually pick up Sinai's non-existant laserbeams of staring.

Finishing up his little pastry snack he had purchased, he was no brushing his hand off on his pants. The pastry had been coated in sugar, and left his fingers covered in it as well. It was a simple fix though, just brushing his hand on his pant leg relieving his digits of the sticky sweet coating. There was the thought of going back for more, but the idea of walking around with sugar coated pants didn't sound too appealing to him. And the fact that his stomach was getting slightly upset from so many sweets, he didn't want to lose his lunch in such a public place. One finally brush of his hand against his pants to clear any stray sugar, and he was now off to explore more areas of this fascinating place. His venture was cut short though, as he felt a shiver run up his spine as if he was being watched by someone. It was a kind of second hand nature he picked up, having to be on guard sometimes when traveling with his father. Not wanting to make it obvious that he had made the realization of him being watched, he did a nonchalant yawn standing in place. His arms were thrown up above his head, stretched towards the sky as he arched his back after setting his luggage down for a moment. As he did this, his eyes made a quick scan of the area, searching for the culprit.

Normally it wouldn't bother him, since he could imagine he would get some glances from his foreign appearance, but this was different as the eyes he felt seemed to just stare at him. Reaching the apex of his fake yawn, his body jerked forward in a quick motion as he now stretched forward going down like he was about to touch his toes. In that moment he spotted the person who was staring at him, seeing that it was a younger female standing by some sort of mannequin. Picking up his suitcase, he made his way over to where the girl was standing at. Making it look as casual as possible, he came up on the mannequin just opposite of her and acted as if he was looking at it. Then out of no where, he would just call her out on her staring. " You know it's not very nice to stare. It's actually quite rude. " His accent was a bit more heavy as he talked to her, a little irritated at the fact someone would just stare at him.

" If you're here to plot some sort of kidnapping, I'll have you know my father refuses to negotiate the terms of my release. " It probably sounded strange to the girl, but not to Vlad. There had been many times when he was threatened with being kidnapped by people wanting to get to his father. " If not, then I suggest an apology is in order for such rude behavior. Little girls such as yourself should know better than to stare, did your mother not teach you well? " He was talking at her as if she was some infant, but that's just how he was. It's not like he was aware of the fact, it was just the way he presented himself and spoke to people. He would tap his foot though, waiting for the girl to respond with his demanded apology.

Sinai Konata

Her curious eyes now grew weary and never quite left him from the moment he bent forward, and to the moment he stood up. She felt really embarassed and scolded herself for even doing something so random like that. Of course, no one would stay in that spot for so long and not perform. What are the odds of everybody being a musician? Tch. So maybe he wasn't some guitarist after all, thought Sinai. A tad disappointed that there wouldn't be a song to cheer for or jeer at. She happened to look back to see by coincidence if the man was still there. And he wasn't, to her relief, Sinai could only imagine what would have happened. She sighed and allowed her head to slump back with her hands in her jacket pockets.

She looked around her surroundings before deciding they weren't worth her interest and settled on the buttons on her coat. She was almost getting hungry but was not in the mood to eat. Somehow, she felt rather tense. Her weak concentration escaped from the thread of her button to the odd figure within her cornerside glance. The same guy she saw who was eating his pastry, looked even wilder close-up with his presence. When did he come by? He was almost an arms distance away and it felt as though it was something stronger than coincidence that he would just appear, looking at the same mannequin through the glass. Until- she discovered that he wasn't half as interested in the mannequin as Sinai was herself. She could obviously see and hear him as much as he could to her. Her being too embarassed, she looked down at her shoes. By then she realized too late that he was speaking to her. Suddenly, Sinai held this somewhat-scary vibe that secreted from the guy who talked. She flinched a little before stepping back.

"..Wha-?" Was the first thing the teen had uttered before she slowly unraveled his meaning. But of course, he wouldn't be saying that there while he was standing, standing so coincidentally near enough for him to rub it in. Sinai was probably one of the few who stood anyways so he WOULD expect her to respond since she did somehow fit his description. Her guilt of staring recognized herself and decided not to do something even more shallow by lying. But she wasn't being too weird or anything. It's not like she was one of those weirdos out there with strange fettishes. She thought he was a freaking street performer or contemporary musician. That was all, so why did she have to apologize? She didn't give him a dirty look! Apology, his a**! That thought just veered to anyone random with an a** to indulge his blame.

Naturally to his response, Sinai tugged her brows to capture a sarcastic character to frame her face. Evidently, her lips stretched upwards as this upset her even more. "You're joking, right? Even if I was one, I'd have to be some disoriented hick to kidnap a lout like you. And I'd say it's you who ought to apologize for making such a fuss over nothing." Ha! Where does your mother come into this?! Her distant yet surreal persona of a fighting spirit would think so crudely.

This whole ordeal should have been as simple as her saying the one word, but for some reason she seemed so against the notion and had to cause such a fuss. Listening to her state why she shouldn't apologize, he just shook his head at her. " First off, I am not lout like you said. " He really didn't even know what the word meant, but knew that from the tone of her voice and how she said it that it wasn't very good. He would ignore that for now though, and not get too upset over it. " Second off, you at least owe me the apology. After all, take a look at me, and then take look at you. You're like peasant compared to my royal like status. " It was highly over exaggerated the comparison that was just made, but that was his ego coming into play, and the fact that he had a tendency to act very condescending towards people. He would cross his arms against his chest, and put all of his weight back on his left foot as he waited. The truth was is he probably wasn't going to leave until he got his apology, which meant bad news for her, since she wouldn't take to kindly to his demeanor.

If she was patient enough to wait out his onslaught of egotistical comments, then he probably wouldn't seem so bad. After all he did need some questions answered, and he had planned to ask her once all this was done. He got the feeling that she was a stubborn one though, and wouldn't apologize until he had apologized. So with a heavy sigh, he would uncross his arms as he looked down at her. " If you want apology, fine. I am sorry that I am so easy to stare at. Now your turn little girl. "

Sinai Konata

Her expression was rather subtle for the most part since she was so appalled. She was beginning to understand how her position was going to be even more embarassing if she continued to argue with a fool. Her mind kind of dubbed onto his words. Sinai, a peasant? Him, a royal? She took this time to have a final look at him. Though his accent piqued her interest, she had her doubts. Even if he was a foreigner, he ought not to make his background a fable. "S-Sorry.. I just thought you were some sort of traveling musician."

Her face stretched for the final time in order to suppress light laughter. N-No way.. So annoying. Sinai felt rather reluctant to follow after him in apologies but the man made it so unnecessary. Him calling her a little girl was beginning to get on her nerves to the point where her hands balled fist. "Dinky mullets like that make it so easy to assume, guy." Suprisingly, she meant the last part and had no difficulty into bringing them out.

" Apology has been accepted. " There was a sort of smile his face, reveling in the fact that he had gotten what he had wanted. Though he was confused by the musician bit of her apology, wondering where that had even come from. To him he felt like his appearance was normal, but he did have to take in the fact that he was in a foreign land and they would obviously have some different thoughts about how he looked which most likely opposed his own. " Dinky mullet? " Sounding confused when he said it after she had, he had to run a hand through his hair to check in a way, even though that wouldn't do as good of a job as if he had looked in the mirror. " I vill have you know, my hair is cut by the finest in all of Mother Russia. Hmph. " Doing a sort of pouty face, he was insulted at the fact she was saying his hair was something as unstylish as a mullet. He would shoot a gust of air up towards a tuft of air with his mouth, as he let out a scoff.

Calming himself though, he managed to keep his anger from lashing out at her, as he just took in a few deep breaths and let them out slow. Moving on now, he would take the chance of asking her a question and hoping she knew anything about it. It was the main reason he was here, and maybe just maybe he would get lucky and find someone right away who knew about the thing he was searching for. " I know this may seem strange, but bear with. I am looking for any information on something called the mafia. Do you have any information about? " This probably seemed off to the girl, to have him go from being upset at her to asking her questions about the mafia. He would at least give her a tiny bit of info as to why, but he wouldn't divulge to much to her. " I vant to study them, as I find them to be interesting. I vill understand if you have no info, it vould not surpise. "

"Oui- R-Right...sorry. The finest....ph." So he hails from Russia? She thought up of a bunch of things to say but she felt that none of them were absolutely smart to buff up to some stranger. She timidly held her hands into tight grips upon the shelves of her pocket layers and wandered into thought about his question. Strange thing to ask but expected from a strange person himself.

"I guess they are like the more organized version of the usual gangster interface, except, they're a criminal society. But, uh, I'm guessing again that in some parts of Japan you have your usual yakuzas and punks." She didn't actually hesitate on telling him what she read from an internet article and various books read for pure interest. Sinai wasn't affiliated with any bigshot mafias for all she knew. But that one thought of her bizzarre encounter with her harassers remained well kept in her memories. The sole existance of the ring that was hung around her neck that has been harboring nothing but bad luck these days. She was thinking a little bit, assuming that he'll just give her a moment or two to really act serious on her part to answer his questions.

Was he just making fun of her? Or did he want to really know? Maybe he was subjected under a loan shark. He was pretty fresh off the boat like she was but with a different interest that was not commonly shared by others. "..I mean, I thought mafias originate from Italy or someplace like that." He finds them interesting he says... Ohh! He wants to get involved with one?! A bead of sweat curled loose down her neck with worry. "I-Is there a particular syndicate...that has your interest?" She looked up at him and then felt it was too nosy for a question. "Ah.. I mean, since it's a pretty random subject.."

Though he was impressed by the girl's answer, and how she really didn't hesitate to tell him any info. There was some doubt in his mind that it was just information he could have gotten himself, if he had gone to a local library or something along those lines. None the less, he couldn't be too mad as she did answer his question without much fuss, so that made things slightly better. " They are criminals? " This was something that caught him off guard, unaware that they were classified as such. It didn't discourage him though, as he was sure not all of them were criminals-- at least he hoped not. Then she went on to their origin, and how they were from Italy. It was a country he had never visited, but had heard many things about. Never did he hear about mafias though from the person telling him, so he had to doubt her just a little. " From Italy, are you sure? "

Her demeanor changed slightly as the two talked, as she seemed to get a little nervous, as if she had made up some assumption in her head about him and made him out to be a thug. " Are you asking if I want to join one? " Bringing a hand up to tap the bottom of his chin, he went into thought on the matter. He wasn't exactly sure if he wanted to join one, since he wasn't exactly sure if he'd like how things were run. His best bet would to be just to have his own, but he wasn't sure if that was possible. " Well, if I had too. I would much rather make own. Can I do that? " He said once more crossing his arms, and awaiting the girls answer for him, this time skipping the tapping of the foot not being impatient.

"I think I'm pretty sure.. Not all of them are criminals but have their own histories." She shrugged a little before she exchanged her best to acknowledge his other questions. Even though she was very surprised and still wary at the same time, Sinai was curious on her own. Was he planning on making a beligerant group or what? His intentions were unclear and it was not like she could dig that deep with someone she's just met. Her eyes stressed to ask but said something else that Sinai felt was more appropriate for the topic. I dare you. Just kidding. She had a smug look hidden somewhere across her face where it seemed innocent. A hand rose from her jacket pocket as if it were to gesture an oath. "S-Sure. But what will you do? What is your motive?" It sounds fair to ask. He appeared to have lightened up.(150)

" Vell dat is good to hear that all are not criminal. " It would have made him reconsider the idea of his own mafia, if they were known for criminal acts. He wasn't much of a criminal himself, so he wasn't about to change that to pursue his goal. " I do not think I would make good criminal, so I am relieved. " A rare smile surfaced its way on to his face as he spoke, not really directing the smile at anything just doing it for the sake of doing it. She then asked him what his motives were going to be, and that was when the smile vanished. He didn't get angry or anything after that, it was just he was caught off guard since he was never presented with the question. His motives were unclear at the moment, not sure what he really wanted to do once or if he did manage to start his own. " Dat is a good question.. Hmm. " Once more he was tapping his chin in thought, trying to come up with a reason for him to be forming a family. " If I had to choose a reason, I guess it would be to be the best.. " It was a very simple answer, but it was how he lived his life- always trying to be the best, so why not make that his motive. " I vill make the best Mafia this vorld has come to know. I suppose that is my motive.. " There was a serious look on his face as he said this, taking this matter very seriously now. " I guess you veren't so useless as I first thought you would be.. "

Sinai Konata

Her cheeks almost hounded up with gusts of clamped laughing. "U- Yeah..well I'm glad I was of use in the end." She said so rather pertly but the vein on the side of her forehead proved her slight restraint. She could say so herself how the idea seemed ludicrous, even though she hadn't the slightest idea how to appropriately respond. Then she often wondered whether she should or she shouldn't believe that reason is with her than seeking it through others. Suddenly, Sinai raised her head to him. Her choked laughter disappearing from her eyes to introduce a sense of calm seriousness. She did not know what came over herself and wasn't even sure if she was joking anymore. "It would be neat if I can join this best Mafia in the world. It would be pretty interesting to say the least. Heck, I could even name a joint after me." She said half heartedly with drenched dreams and mild interest. Why did I say that? Though this was actually for his interest to see. She didn't really mind even though there were chances of actually getting into some trouble. But of course, she did not take this too seriously.

Of course, I don't really take it back. Schools too boring. Shecnex-kun probably hates me. And Pa and Gramps don't give a damn. Yep, I wouldn't mind some magic in my life. Chances are, he would simply laugh and walk away. She chose to believe, that maybe, he'd enlighten her a little.

Then again, it all seemed so crazy. Crazy enough to give up on a lot of things. Still, she had to acknowledge whatever unintended reverse psychology she was given. And so, she bowed her head and scurried off home. Thinking to herself that she was way in over her head to talk to some spoiled stranger. Especially if he was foreign. By the time she came home, she was granted an unusual opportunity. A ticket to Tokyo to visit an old relative!

╔═══════════════━┈[。 Lark 。]┈━═══════════════╗

Lark walked around he Market, looking at the various stores, selling clothing, food, pastries, luxuries and toy's. Lark simply shrugged it off, he could mostly get anything he wanted, not because of his power... or ability... or authority, because he was cute, and he knew how to use it. Lark put his hands in his pockets, and wore his striped black and white scarf, hiding his so called "neck" from sight, it also his his huge red pacifier. He walked down the street, ignoring all of the curtsy of the High school girls. All of them asking to pick him up and pinch his cheeks... he wasn't amused when a girl with blonde short hair picked him up and cuddled him, thrashing him side to side... his eyes half mooned... and he yawned. The girl gasped and put him down "Are you Sweepy Little Guy~?" She said with curiosity, Lark nodded rubbing his eyes with his fist, and then pointed at the nearby Coffee Store. The girl looked at the store then at Lark "Is your mommy there?" she said Lark shook his head "I Want a Coffee Please..." he said with a smile, the girl blushed, he was so cute! she picked him up and went to the coffee store and they got to the till, Lark pointed at the coffee he wanted still sitting in the girls hands as if it was a chair. The girl ordered the coffee and paid the till worker and handed the coffee with a holder on it so he wouldn't burn his hands... and she put him on the ground he walked over to a nearby table and put his coffee on the short table and walked back to the girl and hugged her leg and looked at her "Thank you" The girl blushed and smiled at him "No problem little guy" she patted him on the head and looked at him "I'm gonna go now, don't spill the coffee!" she ran off and left Lark in the coffee shop, he walked over to his coffee and picked it up and began to make his way to Nanimori Mt. But thank's to his "Secret Travel Thing" he would be there in no time.
