the train ride from central park seemed to zoom by as Caius and Tony rambled on about the goings on in there lives. they hadn't seen each other in about 2 months due to work schedules, but the two really were very good friends. Tony was a rigging technicians for a small theatre in upstate new york, and Caius was a (recently) hired chef, desperately seeking to keep his job. he knew he couldn't find another one, because the only position he would accept was head chef. Time flew by and before they knew it they were at their stop, they quickly exited the train and began to walk toward the nearest staircase. upon reaching it Caius immediately tripped, launching his own face directly into the cement step. he bounced back up, a bit of blood tricking from his forehead. "holy hell bro! you alright?!" cried tony, grabbing Caius arm to help him up "Yeah! it happens all the time, no worries." he cooed. tony lead him up the stairs and the wandered quickly over to 42nd street, to the new Amsterdam theatre.

They stood in line quietly for a few minutes before reaching the counter. Tony bellowed "Two for Mary Poppins please?" As he slid some money through a slot at the base of the window, the woman behind it slid him the tickets. bursting through the door they chuckled at the thought of two large, muscular men buying tickets for Mary Poppins. It must have looked ridiculous to the family of 6 behind them. they entered the theatre, found their seats (middle of the 9th row) and sat. Caius set his book on his lap, and his glasses on top of them. Tony yawned then began to explain "The rigging on this show is incredible man," he said, pointing to the steel tracks that ran across the ceiling, over the audience "you see those? she gets hooked into this fun little wire system and flies along those tracks. god, setting those would be a... well you get the idea." tony stopped himself, he had recently realized that he cursed more often than he used proper words, and had forbade himself from ever swearing again.

The lights dimmed and a woman with a stunning, smooth voice spoke through the intercom, telling everyone to turn off their phones, unwrap their candy, and destroy all flash cameras immediately. the lights went out, and the show began. it's comedic whimsical songs entertaining the childish sides of both tony and caius. the show ended about 3 hours later and they stood quietly and left the theatre. the show was all around impressive. the actors were good, the set was fun, and the rigging was, as tony suggested, amazing. the laughed and got back on a nearby train.
