This fourm is to share your own personal rules and idea about hunting the paranormal.

These are some of mine.
Never Go Alone
Always call and ask before entering a properity
Learn the history of the area
learn the history of the haunting
ask where the hot spots are
be open minded and don't asume everything is paranormal
always tag you evps...if you make a sound make sure you say you made it.
Always scout the area during the day first
the power of suggestion is very powerful so if someones with you don't suggest what there feelings..let them tell you.

This is my set of rules for paranormal hunting.

1. Have partners set up in different areas/ sections of where your looking.
2. Make sure noone ever is alone.
3. Make sure that your comrades and you are well equipped with the proper tools.
4. Have 2 sets of clothing, light and heavy.
5. Have with you something to write with, you might want to take some notes along the way to refer back to stuff.
6. Learn the bizzare events/happenings that have happened at the given place.
7. Set up a ''mini base'' in a room where there haven't really been any mysterious events with equipment set up inside.

This is one thing I personaly never do..I never mess with a Ouija.
All so known as a spirit board.

paranormal researcher, John Zaffis, claimed that the majority of the worst cases of so-called demon harassment or haunting are caused by the use of Ouija boards. The American demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren stated that "Ouija boards are just as dangerous as drugs."[11] They further state that "séances and Ouija boards and other occult paraphernalia are dangerous because 'evil spirits' often disguise themselves as your loved ones and take over your life."[11]

The former medical director of the State Insane Asylum of New Jersey, Dr. Curry, stated that the Ouija board was a "dangerous factor" in unbalancing the mind and believed that if their popularity persisted insane asylums would be filled with people who used them.[18]

In a famous case, in January 1949, a fourteen-year-old Lutheran boy, Rob Doe, living in Cottage City,[21] Maryland became involved in satanic possession after trying to contact his deceased aunt (with whom he had been very close) via an ouija board.[22][23][24] Shortly afterwards, his home became the scene of many alarming events, including unexplained noises, rearranged furniture, and flying objects.[23][25] Forty-eight witnesses attested to these paranormal phenomena.[23] The boy was examined by both medical and psychiatric doctors, who could offer no explanation for these disturbing events.[23] The frightened family turned to their Lutheran clergyman, Rev. Luther Miles Schulze, for help and he concluded that there was evil at work in the teen and he referred the case to Rev. Edward Hughes, a Catholic priest, who conducted an exorcism on the boy.[23][26] Rev. William Bowdern, assisted by Rev. Walter Halloran and Rev. William Van Roo, conducted subsequent exorcisms and succeeded in driving out the demon from the child when the child finally uttered "Christus, Domini."[23][27]

The group of six teenagers led by Natasha Cornett held responsible for the murder of a family in 1997 were known to be obsessed with the Ouija board and the occult.[28]

A Grammy-winning rap group named Bone Thugs N Harmony that was prominent in the music industry during the 1990s dedicated many of their earlier songs to the Ouija Board. eg. Mr. Ouija, Mr. Ouija 2, Ouija Warriors, etc. Because of this, they were labeled Satan-worshipers by many concerned parents who barred their children from access to the group's albums and concerts. The group's music was also played while using the Ouija Board by many at the time. An urban legend followed the group's music too (mainly in Cleveland, Ohio and surrounding areas) - it told of a man who had been mysteriously murdered whilst using a Ouija Board and when police officers arrived at the scene, the Bone Thugs N Harmony song "Mr Ouija" was stuck on replay on the man's stereo. Another myth states that while touring, the group had also decided to perform the song live for their first time - mid way through the song the audience became agitated and many fights broke out soon after. It has also been said that their mentor at the time, the late Eazy E, had listened to this song on his deathbed - just momentarily before succumbing and passing away due to AIDS. Because of the controversy surrounding the songs "Mr. Ouija" and "Mr. Ouija 2," the group has sworn off performing them live and recording the much anticipated follow up - "Take Me, Mr. Ouija (Mr. Ouija 3)."
