The night was cold. A fringed breeze began to pick up, stringing up the fallen leaves. A dark figure flew across the sky, pass the gray clouds of night. It was a lone Soquili, landing from it's lone flight. The red Kirin scales shimmered dimly in the moonlight. It's wings folded to it's sides as it began to walk in search of a late night graze.
The black coat seemed to blend in with the shadows, but the bits of white stood out like night stars. It was a kirin-kalona cross breed. It was a mare, but she was all alone. She hissed softly as she walked by the spring trees. Her blood red glowed softly as she moved her gaze around.
The Kirin-Kalona stopped in a nice clearing with trees to her back and the moon shining down. "Night dew..." She mutter then went on to grazing silently.

A sound was heard just behind the tree the female had her back too. It was a soft sound, the sound of little paws moving about on the wet grass. A moment later, a small rabbit hopped out into view, sniffing at the grass before nibbling on it. His black fur made him blend in well under the cover of night and the shadows, the only give away he was there was his glowing eyes.

The mare looked down at grassy fields. She watched them with a slight sigh. Her ears moved towards the soft sound of something moving the grass. She hissed softly as she turned around to look for what had intruded onto her relaxing clearing. She blinked only to see there was nothing there.
" Probably only the wind..." She hissed as her tail swished behind her, hitting her hind legs.

Hearing the hiss, the rabbit's long ears perked up and instantly his eyes went to the mare, giving away the fact that he was there. And he instantly froze in fear, paws still circled around a clump of grass he was going to nibble on.

The mare noticed the pair of glowing eyes in the grass. She bent her head down to get a closer look at the eyes. It turned out to be a little rabbit with some grass in it's paws. "A rabbit?" She said aloud as her eye brow rose up in confusion. She didn't know what to do with this lone rabbit. She hissed lightly, but just sat down in front of it.
"I'm not going to eat you..." She said sternly as she poked the rabbit with her hoof lightly.

The rabbit made a squeaking sound when the mare sat down in front of him and he dropped the grass he was holding when he was poked. But instead of running away in fright, like most rabbits did, he huffed in annoyance and seemed to put his paws on his hips, "Now look what you made me do, now I'm going to have to pick new grass again!!" he exclaimed.
"Come now Seth, no need to be rude." a much deeper voice sounded behind the rabbit and out of the shadows walked out a big Kalona. The fanged stallion and the rabbit looked to be exact copies, except the stallions eyes were narrower and smaller and he had fangs, spiked wings and ram-like horns spiraling on his head, smaller ones protruding from his forehead.

The mare looks up the see the large stallion. She looked back down at the rabbit with a slight hissing chuckle. "This must be your rabbit?" She asked as she rose to her feet. She was a bit smaller compared to the stallion. "Seth's your name?" She asked the rabbit as she noticed that both of them looked alike. She never really met any other soquili around her two-leggers' home.

Seth got down on all fours and hopped his way over to the stallion, putting his front paws on one of the large, cleaved front hooves, "But I dropped my grass!" he exclaimed in a whiny manner. Hearing the mare ask about his name, he turned his head to look over at her, nodding, "Yep, that's my name." he answered.
The stallion snorted at the rabbit when he whined at him and moved his hoof to have him tumble back gently, "It does not mean you can't pick more. The sun won't rise for a few more hours, so the dew will remain." he scolded him gently, flicking the long hair on his tail.

The mare chuckled as the stallion moved his hoof so the rabbit would tumble. She noticed how they looked alike in color and markings. "Why do you prefer dew grass then it in the day?" She asked the rabbit as she looked down at the dew tipped grass. She found the night soothing, but never would have guessed to see other's similar to herself.
The mare had a feeling that this stallion was a kalona soquili by his horns and wings. " Are you a Kalona?" She asked as she just watched the two, curiously.

"Because the dew on the grass tastes sweet." Seth said, as if that explained it all. The stallion shook his head at his rabbit, hoping he wouldn't make too of a bad first impression. He raised his head when the mare asked him of his species and he stomped his foot just when Seth opened his mouth to make a possibly mean retort, "Yes, I am a Kalona. I am guessing you are one yourself, though I must say, I have never seen one look so....dragon-like in appearance."

The mare nods in agreement. " I am a kalona-kirin mixture. It would explain my vast palette of red and white scales plus feathers. A better description of myself would be a wind serpent." She explained to the stallion then looked down at the rabbit. She found this little creature to be humorous.
" My name is Fyglia. What might your name be?" she asked the stallion as she revealed her identity to him. She felt comfortable around this fellow Kalona soquili. She didn't think of herself with a dragon-like appearance.

As she explained the reason why she looked the way she did, Seth rolled to his feet and hopped back over to Seth. Standing under him, close to his hooves, he gathered up some grass in his paws and began to eat. The stallion nodded his head at her explanation, "Well, that certainly explains much." he commented. When she gave her name, he bowed his head in greeting and lifted it back up when she asked for his, "My name is Samael, it is a pleasure to meet you Fyglia."

" The name fits you well, Samael." Fyglia said in a soft tone as she watched Seath eat some dew grass. She felt happy to have some company on a night such as this one. " You live around these parts? My two-legger and I live over by where the forest and clearing touch." She hissed lightly since she was a serpent type of soquili. She couldn't help, but hiss every once in a while.

Samael honestly didn't mind the hissing at all, "I have no real home. Me and Seth travel from place to place, stopping to eat and rest. We stay in a spot for a long period of time, but when the time comes to move on, we will leave." he explained.

" Sounds like a rough journey, but it could be fruitful as well." Fyglia spoke from whatever wisdom she had to speak. She could feel a light breeze pick as she closed her eyes. "At least there's Seth to travel with you. It must be a lonely traveler's walk, isn't it?" She said as she looked back at Samael.
