There was one thing that Gabriel had a problem with when it came to flea markets: He never shut up. Why would this be a problem, you may ask? Well, when the Avenue family went to flea markets, it was not to buy things or sell things, but for the twins, their father, and a large majority of the rest of the gang to pillage little things that were worth selling at pawnshops, or eating, or sometimes they would thieve clothing as well. That was Gabriel's preference. Yet, despite that, the more often he chose his company among his father's gang members instead of kids his own age, the wider his vocabulary grew, though not always in the right way. At least his speech impediments were starting to get better.

"An', y'know, it was reawly funny, 'cause the- OhhhmyGod, Daminen, lookit, look!!" Gabriel exclaimed in the middle of his story, pointing suddenly at one of the little booths that had all of the sorts of clothing that he liked, ruffly and pirate-like and cloaks and top hats and SQUEAK!! Immediately, he dragged his brother over, as though he hadn't realized that his loud noises had given him away completely.

Key didn't like going on in bright daylight. Because the sun meant heat - especially when it was in the middle of the day like it was. So of course the toddler was pouting and trying his best to stay hidden in the shade. It just wasn't fair that he had to go along with this stuff. He wanted to go home and curl up and sleep.

Maybe he could convince Roman to carry him. The thought was interrupted as the spawn heard a cry and with a grimace noticed that two others were heading towards the booth were he had just taken refuge. Instantly the spawn sought out his twin. "Roman."

Roman spun around with a feathered pirate hat sitting lopsided on his head, mouth slightly a gape. "Wut?" His hip was slightly cocked up to the side, with an overly large belt slipping off his tiny hips. The toddler had a slight fascination with obscure things because all the cool guys in Lissy's story books wore them when they fought.

Unlike his twin, he was fine with the heat, though he did come over to to shade him with the shade from the floppy had. Looking at the other two, he instantly growled. That one...the one with the green feet....he talked too much and it slowly ebbed at Roman's 'good' mood.

Alright, it was true that fancy clothes got Gabriel excited. But do you know what else got him excited? Other kids wearing pirate clothing. No less, if he looked close enough, there were two of them. One looked like his brother. One looked like him. Well, mildly, but the resemblance was there. The shaded one had Gabriel's hair, at the very least. Well, only a little bit, because Gabriel's hair was much nicer and had that really cool white chunk in the front of it that made his even better than anyone else's. Especially the kid with the long black hair. Black was boring. Even if it had rainbows in it. Besides...

...his rainbows were better.

As such, he chose to move in on the kid who didn't look anything like him, and instead resembled his brother. Of course, he looked a little more... complete. Like, instead of the silly little stripes, all of his skin was black and he had stripes that just... seemed to fit better. And a pirate hat. Letting his hand slip free of his meeker brother's, he rushed up to the wrath child, peering up at him with wide, red eyes, stubby tail flicking back and fort behind him. "You guys wook wike us. Can twins have twins? 'Cause that's what we wook wike, mmhmm!! Weww... mostwy. 'Cept dat we'we coowlew wookin'. And bettew."

Much like Gabriel, Damien was entranced by the old-timey clothing that this stall had, although he wasn't quite into the pirate thing. That top hat did look interesting, but he knew that he couldn't just go up and grab it. Maybe if he was lucky, a person would knock the hat down and he could rescue it.

As he was busy examining the hats and waiting for his chance, he heard the growl come from behind him, and, more frightening, he felt his brother head towards it. Whirling around, his eyes widened and he rushed to catch up to Gabriel. Neither of those kids looked like they were very nice. One was really dark purple and just had a mean sense about him, and the boy who looked like him but better was, well, growling. And it wasn't good growling, either, but mean growling. Ignoring his brother's silly babble, he reclung to his arm and growled right back. If they meant to try and hurt his brother on Stealday, he was gonna protect him as best as he could.

Kieran leaned against Roman just slightly as he hid in the shade cast by the hat. Though the spawn was in a captain's coat - the long dark green sleeves felt funny on his arms but he put up with it just for the fact that he had been able to nap for a little in it.

Too bad that nap was interrupted by some blabber mouth.

Kieran automatically felt dislike for the other set of twins, or at least for that green feet one that seemed to love talking. Seeing them coming over nearly set him off and the usually patient twin growled under his breath - soft enough that only Roman could hear him.

Hearing the growl coming from the other twin made Kieran stand tall beside of Roman. His butterfly wings fluttered underneath the coat and lifted it just for a second revealing their brilliant rainbow coloring. After listening to Gabriel's proud bragging, Kieran only let out one sound. "Pfft." No way would he let anyone claim him as a twin, but Roman. And then to say they were better? Kieran would have found it slightly amusing if he wasn't feeling so irritable at the moment.

Roman pulled back with a stumble, holding his hand up to shield himself from the other child. Now he really didn't like him. The toddler growled, a little pathetic rumble in his chest as he glared down the other boy. Hearing his twin getting riled up only intensified his emotions; when Kieran got upset, then it was free game for Roman.

"Not coola, not betta, just stu'pider." He spat. Being cocky was bad, even he knew that much, and no one was ever going to own him besides his twin. That was just stupid.

Roman looked over at Kieran before hearing Damien's growl, making him turn around with a fangy snarl. Oh, it was so on.

If there was one this that Gabriel wasn't expecting, it was immediate contempt, aimed at both him and his brother. However, the main part was surprised him was, predictably, the fact that it was he who was immediately hated. Both his ears and his headwings suddenly dropped down like those of a puppy dog who had been kicked, red eyes getting huge and filling with tears. When his brother latched onto him in the way that the young male always did, he sobbed just slightly and stepped back. Trembling softly, he slid behind Damien, anger surfacing when the both of them were called stupid, eyes widening only further before glaring sharply at the two of them. "No we'we not supidew!! Even Daminen is pwob'bly smawrder dan you, stoopid!!"

Unlike Gabriel, Damien wasn't very surprised that they, or at least he, were hated. Why would anyone like being talked to by random people on Stealday? The whole point was to be unnoticed. However, he was immediately on the offensive when the one that resembled him called him, or at least Gabriel, stupid. His teeth were bared in a snarl. That was crossing the line.

Tail flicking ferociously, he strode boldly forward, undaunted by the other angry child. As flawed as he was, he could fight better than anyone he'd met so far, so he had little reason to be afraid. He blew a raspberry in the face of the other. "You'we stoopider if you fink dat you c'n say dat you'we bettew den Gabby. You don't even know nuffin' about 'im, or me. You'we stoopid to jump ta' con-cloo-si-uns," he argued, ending it with the briefest of smiles. That was certainly an alright argument, even for him.
