This is a private role play between Bataar [Kayakurai] and Kiran [Kazu-chan].

Setting:

After hearing about the Koga Inn from Yuudai, Kiran decides to pay it a visit.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 09, 2010 6:37 pm

After his meeting with Yuudai down at the docks, their conversation was still fresh in Kiran's mind. He had never been to the Koga Inn before, though he had mention of it in the past - only once or twice though. Actually, he had never been to any type of inn. His curiosity got the better of him, as it had a habit of doing. And a lot of the time, that led him into trouble, but that wouldn't be the case this time around.

And that was how Kiran ended up strolling along in search of the Koga Inn. If he was going to learn how to cook from Yuudai, he would need to first know the location of his family's inn. The street wasn't overly crowd, but Kiran still found himself having to weave in and out as he avoided bumping into anyone along the way. His gaze swept back and forth, checking each building he passed until he caught sight of the one he was looking for.

Kiran stopped in front of the building and released a low whistle as he stared up at it. The inn wasn't anything big or extravagant, like some other inns might be. But it looked impressive enough from the outside to Kiran. It looked inviting and seemed like it would have a nice atmosphere inside. Of course, the impression he got from seeing the outside didn't necessarily mean it would translate to what he would find inside. But from the short meeting he had with Yuudai, Kiran doubted the inside would be anything less than clean, well maintained, and respectable. If the rest of the Koga family was anything like Yuudai, Kiran couldn't see them running a dump.

Kiran walked up the front entrance and strolled into the Inn.

Bataar was scampering about the inn, desperate for a little food, but he couldn’t find anyone that was at all willing to bathe him. Yuudai was nowhere to be found, and the Mongol had crept into the family establishment just ten minutes earlier, in need of sustenance. He needed the food! Why, he’d even gone so far as to strip down and clothe himself only with a small towel tied haphazardly around his hips.

The Mongolian man had just been at the point of wasting away when he’d heard someone’s entrance, and then he’d decided that it absolutely had to be Yuudai! He rushed for the door, shocked to see that it was a young man he’d never laid eyes on before. ”You—who are you? And where is my food? I will take a bath if you want me to!” Certainly, his actions may have been a little on the quirky side, but he was hardly concerned with that at this point. Bat was starving and he didn’t see the use of this student’s presence if he wasn’t going to figure out how to feed him!

In short, Kiran was in the wrong place at the wrong time with a confusing Mongolian man to torment him. It was altogether possible that one might be able to feel sorry for the young man by the time things were through today, but Bataar hadn't a clue that he'd never even been to the inn. All he saw in Kiran was a possible food-source, and he was much too ready to exploit that.

He was hungry!

To say he was confused might a bit of any understatement. Kiran was downright baffled at the man rushing toward him wearing nothing more than a towel that looked about ready to fall off into a little plush mound on the floor revealing the man in all his naked glory to whole establishment. Kiran wondered if maybe the man was running away from some angry employee at the inn who didn't appreciate his state of undress. But looking beyond the man, Kiran saw no sign of an angry pursuer.

"What? Huh?" Kiran tried to speak more intelligibly, but it came out more as sputtering idiocy. How was he supposed to respond to this nearly naked man demanding food from him? Kiran was dumbfounded.

His brow creased as he decided to push aside the craziness of this situation and focus more on what the man had asked of him. The whole thing could only get worse, probably, if he decided to ignore the man. "The name's Kiran. Who are you?" he asked as calmly as he could, one brow arching questioningly at the man. "How should I know where your food is? I don't work here." He gave the man a wary look. "Where are your clothes?"

Bataar locked Kiran with a gaze that was probably surprisingly intense coming from an idiotic mostly-naked Mongol. It was all because he was hungry, but any bystander that didn’t know what was going on might think that he was about to get down on one knee and confess his undying love or something. The truth of the matter, however, was just that Bat was nearly starving to death, and this was the only person around who looked eligible to cook him food. He swallowed, holding his stare, and bit his lip.

”Food!” he cried, as if that would explain everything to the young man standing in front of him. He seemed oddly confused, but Bat couldn’t see why. He thought he was being rather straightforward himself. Besides, he didn’t want to work the guy too hard-- he didn’t even have to bathe Bataar(in fact, he’d be a lot happier if he refrained).

He tilted his head, listening to the student’s introduction. ”Well, I‘m Bataar, of course.” he scoffed a little, as if everyone ought to have known his name. He looked faintly surprised when he was informed that the boy didn’t work here. Still, that didn’t have to keep him from cooking, did it? ”Well then… you should find it out for me! I think I might starve to death.” he confided mournfully.

And as for his clothing… ”Oh, it‘s somewhere around here.” Bat muttered, waving the question off.

Kiran glanced about, noticing some of the patrons of the inn looking their way. They seemed about as surprised and confused as Kiran did about what was happening. The idea of backing slowly out of the inn before making a run for it sounded like a very tempting plan. But he squashed it when the thought of this half naked Lunarian chasing after him through the streets while screaming for food. It brought up a fairly amusing image, but one that Kiran would rather avoid.

"Bataar," he repeated, the name sounding familiar though he couldn't pinpoint why that would be. He certainly hadn't met this man until this very moment. So why did he think the name sounded familiar? It took a few minutes for him to search his memory for where he heard the name. "Oh! So you're that Bataar that jerk kept talking about."

Kiran frowned. Well, he didn't want the man to starve. "There should be some food in around here somewhere, right?" This was his first time at an inn of any sort, but Kiran assumed that they served food to their patrons. He hoped it didn't clean out his purse of money. And since Bataar had only a towel on his person, Kiran knew he would be the one paying for any food. "I guess we should go see what they have around here."

Bataar honestly had no idea just how horrified Kiran was right now. His hunger overtook his perceptions, and he wasn’t willing to put much more effort into it than that. Bat didn’t think it was very odd to run around naked, anyway. This place did have bathing facilities! It was only natural. Plus he was quite comfortable with his own body, he had to admit; just thinking about it made him grin(a little dumbly) down at his pronounced muscles. It was downright nice to run around naked with Bataar’s body!

He nodded as Kiran repeated his name, managing to look quite confused as the boy referred to some jerk. It was good to know that his infamous name got around, but he wasn’t sure what the nature of the information had been by the way Kiran was talking. He shrugged the information off, deciding it was better not to care for the time being-- that was right! His sole purpose in life was obtaining food now!

He nodded eagerly as Kiran commented that there was probably food around the inn. He knew there had to be, even though he generally got it from the private quarters in the family’s kitchen with Yuudai. But if this boy managed to feed him, he would certainly find himself with an inseparable friend in Bat. Food was the way in which one could easily unlock the Mongol’s heart, and he could have gone for a mushy hug if Kiran got some for him.

”Let‘s go find it!”

A teal eyebrow lifted in a questioning manner. Kiran wasn't exactly sure how to interpret that goofy grin that plastered itself onto Bataar's face when he looked down at himself. There must have been some line of thinking that Kiran missed on that. Or was it some sort of suggestion that he was failing to pick up on?

Whatever the case, Kiran decided to ignore that and focus more on what Bataar was so determined to get out of him. "Right then. Food," he said, perhaps talking to himself. He set off in a random direction, not really knowing where he might find food within the inn.

"I don't suppose you know where they serve food here?" Kiran asked, glancing over his shoulder to Bataar, who he hoped was following after him. It was worth a try to ask. Bataar seemed more familiar with the inn than Kiran. He still didn't quite understand why Bataar was running around half naked to demand food from people. It didn't seem like the best way to get someone's help, but it obviously worked in the end since Kiran was going to get him food.

Bataar tramped along behind Kiran, following the boy in a dog-like fashion. He was quite pleased that Kiran wasn’t going to let him starve to death, and he fully panned on displaying it to the other Lunarian—at some point, somehow. The halls of the inn were quite familiar to Bat by now, and he went along, wondering why the student in front of him was beginning to look slightly uncertain. Didn’t he know where everything was, anyway?

He nodded eagerly in answer to Kiran’s question, pointing down the hall. ”The kitchen’s down there!” he exclaimed, determined to obtain a meal. Of course, that was there family kitchen where he usually pestered Yuudai, who didn’t seem to be around. Bataar realized this and considered it gloomily. ”There’s food in other places too, though. This is a big city!” he declared, quite ready to run outside wearing only his towel.

What was wrong with that, anyway?

Kiran glanced back over his shoulder to Bataar. It felt strange to have someone trailing behind him like a lost puppy seeking scraps of food. He was glad when Bataar pointed out the way because he would have been walking blind around the inn for the kitchen.

He nodded to Bataar's other comment. There were plenty of other places to find food if searching the inn proved fruitless. He sent another glance Bataar's way. Fruit alone probably wouldn't satisfy his hunger!

"We can try the kitchen first," he said, walking in the direction Bataar pointed. "If that doesn't work, we can go to one of the little food stops in this area." Kiran scratched the back of his head. "Though if it comes to that, we might want to go look for your clothes. I'm not sure most places serve people who show up wearing only a towel." Though the reaction of people could be highly amusing to witness. He smiled at that image.

"Let me know if I start going the wrong way?" Kiran looked toward Bataar to see if he would point if he needed to turn a corner or something.

Bataar thought to Yuudai, and to what Yuudai might do if he messed up the kitchen. The thought gave him paused, and he stopped in his tracks, considering. What if the apron-wearing Lunarian forced him to do something like take two baths in a row? The horror was almost too much for Bat to handle, and he uttered a noise of uncertainty. He was beginning to realize that it might not be such a great idea to head to the kitchen now, and glanced down at Kiran helplessly, considering his options.

He supposed showing off his excellent six-pack to the world was also a good idea. ”They’ll serve me.” he explained brightly, knowing they would. Most people were slightly afraid of large Mongolian men—especially ones who had as much muscle mass as Bat did. Why, they might even get him food for free! Bataar visibly brightened at the thought, and turned away from the kitchen, his intention to make his way to the entrance now.

”I bet I can make them give me free food if we go to a food stand!” he declared, his intentions obviously a little convoluted. He thought he was good enough for such things, though, seeing as he was such a great guy and all. All he wanted was a little(okay, maybe a lot of) food!

There was no way they’d be able to turn him down.

Kiran nearly stumbled over his own feet as he twisted around to follow after Bataar. What was with the sudden change of direction? Now it was his turn to trail along after Bataar. He hurried to keep up with Bataar's long strides and realized belatedly that they were now heading back to the entrance of the inn.

Kiran glanced back the way they had been going. Why did Bataar decide to skip the kitchen? "Are you sure you shouldn't put some clothes on first?" Kiran asked, staring at Bataar uncertainly. Even if Bataar believed they would serve him while only wearing a towel, that didn't mean they would.

Kiran paused in thought to look Bataar over. Bataar was, in a word, big. And muscular. Very muscular. Kiran couldn't help the small twinge of jealous at that. He was small and lithe with lean muscles. Kiran definitely never wanted to get into a fight against Bataar. He would bet money that Bataar could pound him into the ground with only his little finger.

Maybe Bataar really didn't have to worry about a dress code. Who would want to try arguing with someone like him? Better to just give him the food. And Kiran couldn't say no to free food, if they could manage it. With anyone else, Kiran might of thought the logic flawed. But Bataar? He could believe the Lunarian could get free food if he wanted to, even in only a towel.

Bataar wasn't terribly concerned about the fact that he was wearing just about nothing. In his mind, it sharpened just how manly he really was and that was, if you asked Bat, really quite fabulous. "Who in their right mind would want to clothe this body?" he bragged, flouncing his way to the door of the inn, ready to step outside and endure the elements for the sake of food.

He stepped outside, sighing contentedly at the feel of sunlight on his bare skin, all the while pointedly ignoring the many stares he was receiving. Bat honestly didn't mind this sort of thing, after all, and it was true that he probably really enjoyed it-- it was, after all, his own personal mode of bragging.

"Well then, are you coming?" Bat asked expectantly, stepping out into the street, mindful of his flimsy towel. He didn't mind escorting Kiran around the city like this so long as they could successfully bag some food. Besides, if they failed in their quest, Kiran might actually have something in the way of money. Basically, the young man was Bat's back-up plan. Plan B, if you will.

Plan C was to kick someone's a**.

Kiran tilted his head in thought. The man did have a point in a way. If he had such a large, muscular body, Kiran probably would find every opportunity he could to show it off. He squashed that inkling of jealous threatening to rise up in him. Kiran wasn't all that short. He was about average height for his age. But he was thin and lithe, his muscles hardly as defined as Bataar's muscles. On the other hand, his nimbleness did come in handy.

Folding his arms behind his head, Kiran followed Bataar outside. "Lead the way," Kiran answered, deciding it best to just follow the large man's lead. At least that way, Bataar was certain to get exactly what he wanted, in terms of food. His own stomach grumbled at him with its demand for food.

He glanced at the man out the corner of his eye as they walked. "Do you make it a habit to run around without your clothes on there?" Kiran was mostly curious just so he wouldn't be so surprised when a nearly naked man charged at him for the second time when he entered the Koga Inn. He wondered if Yuudai was aware of Bataar and his nearly naked habits.

Bataar trotted along contentedly, aware that any attention the street had to offer was focused almost completely on him. Having impressive muscles did tend to make one used to such a thing, after all, especially if one was flaunting them through an apparent lack of clothing. This was, quite simply, Bat and he didn't really view himself as at all controversial.

"Why don't we fetch some bacon?" he asked hopefully, wondering where the hell he'd be able to find such a thing around this area. Bat tended not to do things himself and so was often confused when it came to searching just about anything out-- well, that and he did get lost quite a lot.

He chose to mull over Kiran's question for a little while, tilting his head. "It just depends on what's most convenient, really." the muscled man confessed, gnawing on his lip as he raped every food stall they passed with his green eyes. There just had to be something good around here!
