xxx LINUEN'S TRAINING

It is set in the area from the Tag Battle [ PRP ] located here. However, the location will change.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:42 am

Linuen Frost
Seventh Division, Third Seat

The charm in Linuen's right ear rang and then he landed with a soft tap on the area. He looked around and saw that the place seem to be a mess like when he left it before several days ago; it was his training with Shizuka. Taking a sigh, he settled his Zanpakutou on the ground and he began stretching his limbs. Shizuka called him for some training though he did not know the nature of the activity. He wouldn't be that much worried though, his newly acquired Zanpakutou would protect him.

Isn't that right, Alestha?

A small girl dressed in white appeared in front of him; she looked at him with an emotionless face and did not say a word for a while. "Getting to know my name doesn't indicate that you have control over me, Linuen." She said stiffly; Linuen felt the area around him grow cold. "And if she kills you, I wouldn't mind too much." Linuen's face instantly began scarlet red and looked murderous. He exclaimed in rage and then marched towards Alestha but she disappeared at once and he looked around like some rave lunatic for her.

"b***h!" he yelled.

Shizuka had been suppressing her Reiatsu, hiding her presence as she made her way towards the area. At first, she had decided to hang back for a while, but then again, it wouldn’t do much. Ah well, she might as well go now. She appeared in the place, just when Linuen yelled ‘b***h’. Well, that was certainly surprising, coming from somebody like him. Was he calling her a b***h? He seemed to be looking for somebody though. Ah well, it wasn’t going to affect her at all. She raised an eyebrow at Linuen’s vocabulary. “Well, well, I didn’t know you had it in you to say something like that.” Anyway, she might as well get straight into what she was intending to do and say. She mumbled, “Tekateka Getsuei” and then “Mangetsu” under her breath. Her sword faded as a mirror appeared on her hands. There was a twinkle in her eyes as she smiled at Linuen. “I thought that since we both have had some rest, maybe it would be good to train for a bit…but with somebody else you know well too. You know the procedure, just look inside the mirror.” The blinding light and all that was pretty standard procedure and something Linuen would be used to, but this time, they would appear in a different place – the place where Kei often trained his discipline, Linuen.

Linuen Frost - Kei Aoi
Seventh Division, Third Seat - Memory

Linuen gave off a clumsy laugh as soon as Shizuka arrived at the scene. He scratched his head and then blushed furiously. Why of all people his captain had to hear that?! Alestha will be getting that sooner or later. That b***h. Anyways, he had to focus because the training was about to start and that he needed to focus.

However, he was taken aback when Shizuka activated her "Mangetsu" once again. He was shocked to see her sword disappear once more and then was replaced by a mirror. Was she taking him back to his Sensei again? And then the thought hit him, the training... There was a blinding light and then Linuen felt drowsy all of the sudden. Where will be they meeting his Sensei now? He wondered even though he was quite worried of Shizuka and at the same time, happy because he will get to see his Sensei once again.

There was a spinning stick that flung into the air and instantly hit Linuen's forehead. Linuen landed at the ground with a loud thud and then managed to let go a yelp of pain as he clutched where the stick hit. That hurt a lot! "Hey! What's the matter, punk?!" he exclaimed in rage even though he was still blinded by Shizuka's skill.

"Oh, so you want to fight me now, eh?" A familiar voice said, obviously in the tone of offended. Linuen focused his eyes and was overwhelmed with shock as he Kei Aoi standing before him in his irritated face; oh, he never liked that expression of his Sensei. Then, with a swift move, Kei picked Linuen's ear and then pulled him upwards. Linuen was helpless for his greatest weakness, his ears. "Look how pathetic you are!" Kei yelled at him. "Pulled by the ears like some kid! I'm ashamed of you! And you attempted to trashtalk me?"

"I'm sorry! Shizuka-Taichou!" Linuen exclaimed in fear.

Shizuka stood completely still, reflecting on the fact that her world was fading around her. All this travelling to and from her own illusionary world made her feel somewhat dizzy at times, due to the fact that the world around her kept on changing. Well, at least, she’d be able to hold this for much longer now, since her tiredness was basically not present at all. As the place formed around her again, she noticed Kei there. In a friendly gesture, she waved at him, something that was completely forgotten as Linuen yelled out and called Kei a punk. Ouch. Um…that wasn’t the best thing to do at the moment, considering the fact that Captains never took kindly to being called anything as demeaning as that. As if responding to her thoughts, which he most likely wasn’t, Kei had pulled Linuen by the ear. Oh. She read Linuen’s thoughts, slowly absorbing the information. It seemed like his ears were one of his greatest weakness, maybe that would come in handy -- this was no time to think of something like that.

In a flash, she appeared next to Kei and Linuen, her hands carefully prying Kei’s hands away from Linuen’s ears. She spoke telepathically, scolding both of them, Sheesh, both of you just calm down. Clearing her throat, she decided that maybe speaking might be better. “Anyway, sorry about that, Kei, unfortunately one of the side-effects of me bringing Linuen into this world is the fact that he will be blinded for a while and thus, he didn’t actually know who he was calling punk. And I was wondering whether you’d help me train Linuen, since Linuen wouldn’t want to disappoint you. He just got his Shikai so I thought it would be good for him to train.” she spoke hurriedly in a quiet voice, attempting to explain everything she could. Hopefully, Kei wouldn’t be too confused or else she’d have a massive lot of explaining to do.

Linuen Frost - Kei Aoi
Seventh Division, Third Seat - Memory

Kei stared at Shizuka for a moment and then slowl let go of Linuen. The young-looking Linuen immediately dashed behind Shizuka and hid from his Sensei's presence. He trembled in fear to get his ear picked again. Meanwhile, the former Fourth Division captain (in the real world) looked at Shizuka suspiciously. Then, he took a sigh and then sat by a near bench. They were actually behind a huge house in an overly spacious garden that was well kept. In the middle of the garden was a humongous Koi pond that has some benches around it; Kei sat at one as he looked like deep in thought.

"Interesting..." Kei Aoi said softly, looking at the skies. "A skill that can recreate the past or memories of a certain someone." It was that moment when Linuen came back to his normal image, a tall man with handsome features. He walked from behind Shizuka and showed himself to his Sensei. Kei looked at him with awe with a slight smile drawn on his face that never disappeared as Linuen could remember it.

"You've grown taller, Linuen..." Kei Aoi. "I must've been out for a while. So sad... Please don't tell me the years that passed; I feel like aging now." He added and then laughed. Suddenly, a woman dress in ocean blue gown appeared beside Kei and then caressed his shoulders; Kei sighed with a slightly tired tone. Falhannah looked at Shizuka with utmost curiosity. "Is Akira-Taichou still there?" Kei asked suddenly, smiling at the ebony-haired woman.

Shizuka patted Linuen’s hair, attempting to reassure him a little. To tell the truth, maybe she should have explained everything before she had dragged Linuen in here. Linuen was so small and cute though, it was sort of amusing to see him like that. Lifting her head, she levelled her gaze with Kei’s suspicious look. There was nothing that she was thinking of that could do any harm to Kei. If she wanted to do anything, she would have done everything before since she had complete control over this world. However, Kei sighed and sat, so her gaze flickered away from his face and around herself. This place was not somewhere that she was actually familiar with. Then again, she spent half her time in the poorer parts of Rukongai. It had a rather nice and calming effect though, especially since she hadn’t gone to these sorts of places very often. Sitting by the pond, she watched the koi swim around in the pond, giggling a little as they scattered at the sight of her. Straightening her back, she went to stand next to her Third Seat, who had grown to his actual age.

The time barrier was always a problem but this time, she had granted Linuen the ability to switch his age from his younger forms to his current age in the real world. However, his previous words were ringing in her ears. An interesting ability? Well, she guessed so. In a soft voice she replied, “It’s only if the certain someone has enough memories to actually create the past.” She didn’t say anything for a short while, listening to Kei talking about Linuen’s older self. The appearance of the woman startled her a little bit, but she soon realized who it was – Falhannah, Kei’s zanpakuto spirit. In a polite gesture, she inclined her head in Falhannah’s direction. “Akira-Taichou? Yes, he’s still there, still frightening everybody as usual,” she said in a pleasant tone.

Linuen Frost - Kei Aoi
Seventh Division, Third Seat - Memory

Kei Aoi took a sigh and then looked at the sky for a brief moment before facing Shizuka again. It must be tough for Linuen's Sensei, past and present colliding before him in one moment. If it was Linuen, he would panic for he was never good at these kind of moments. It was always like he remembered from back then, his Sensei had been composed all of the time. Never in his life had he seen his Sensei in a state of panic and out of control; it was simply not like Kei. Linuen smiled by the thought of it for this kinf of moments made him think that he was glad that he was not able to witness his Sensei's death.

Ever since he was a kid, Linuen's thought of someone dying had been the same. If someone he knew was going to die, he always wanted not to see them at all. Why, you ask? Because he wanted to remember those said persons like when they were alive and well, not when they're dead; he wanted the thoughts of them like when they were still happy and talking to Linuen. So, that's why even though it was really sad that his Sensei left him in the present time, he was glad... he was glad that he did not witness his Sensei's death. And all this time, all Linuen remember are the moments he most treasured with his Sensei.

"You're going to cry again, I just know it." Kei Aoi said suddenly, looking at Linuen. True to his suspicion, Linuen barely noticed that his eyes were now watering. He immediately wiped it off and then gave off a brief chuckle, looking for a reason to shake off the thought that he was going to cry again. Kei took a sigh and then shook his head disapprovingly. "You've grown tall and strong but you're still a crybaby." His Sensei said and then stood up, Falhannah looking at Kei with a concerned look on her face. "Crying is not bad, no, Linuen-kun. However, there are times when crying is not productive at all. It does not mean that crying shows us that we are weak, that we are brittle, no indeed. But..." he paused and then looked at Linuen with a smile on his face. "There are times when you need to be strong and accept the facts. Learn from it and do not grieve from it. Tears bring only the most painful emotions and crying at your most difficult times would sometimes do nothing good for oneself. If this is truly an imaginary world created by this lady-Taichou here, then it most likely that I am now gone from the real world.

"Do not be sad about it, Linuen-kun. For as they say, the one you truly love stays at your heart all of the time. And you knew that I was there all the time. If not, there would be no chance at all in creating this world." Kei Aoi said and then faced the pond. "So, do not cry. I believe you wasted most of your tears throughout the years that is enough for a lifetime of crying." He added and then laughed. Ironically enough, Linuen found himself crying once more but he tried his best stopping it. He began to wipe off the tears himself and tried to stand up straight as he looked at his Sensei. Then, Kei faced Shizuka and smiled at her.

"I do believe you're doing your best to teach him, yes?" Kei Aoi asked her and then made another warm smile.

Shizuka stayed silent for a while, watching the exchange between Kei and Linuen. Linuen especially, but Kei too, reminded of what it was like to have a loved one around. It had been some time since she had managed to go to her own hometown on a break or something like that. Her mother was already dead, but her father, from what she had heard in reports, was still very much alive. A single tear drop fell from her eyes as she composed herself, not wanting to show too much emotion in front of her own Third Seat, since Captains were meant to be rather strong and calm at all times. It was hard to think of her mother, who had been warm, vibrant and living a short while ago in her memories, as being dead and never able to ever come back. She looked steadfastly at Linuen, a thoughtful look upon her face. That must have been what it was like for Linuen, except a million times worse since at least she had managed to say goodbye. Linuen seemed to be crying yet again, but this time, she did not move. It was time that Linuen learned to finally move on, from Kei and accept that Kei was dead. Maybe she wasn’t exactly doing the right thing by dragging Linuen into this world, as it simply reignited his desire to see his Sensei alive again.

She roused herself as Kei talked to her, blinking slightly in surprise. Unfortunately, she had been drifting in and out of her thoughts for the last while or so and thus, she had not participated in the conversation, merely taking notes about what they were saying. She smiled back at him, replying, “Yes, I have tried my best. He’s a pretty fast learner, I must say, he learnt Rikujōkōrō rather quickly, and his Shikai was achieved with relative ease too…however, since I unfortunately lack expertise in the Kido area, I was wondering whether you would be able to help me. While I could have asked another Captain, I believe that Linuen works his utmost best if you’re around…” Quietly bowing her head, she didn’t speak for a short while, unsure of exactly how she should convey this to Kei. Nobody really liked the idea that he/she was actually dead in the real life, while feeling alive in her illusionary world. While Kei had guessed this, it was still her duty to confirm it. Finally, she moistened her lips and continued, “And yes, your guesses are correct. Unfortunately you are gone from the real world, killed in battle while attempting to save another. I was present there, although I was only a new Captain at the time so I didn’t know you very well. Linuen, here, took your death rather hard, I must say, but you’re the one that gives him inspiration to fight and to forge ahead…”

Linuen Frost - Kei Aoi
Seventh Division, Third Seat - Memory

Kei looked at Shizuka for a moment before shifting to Linuen. The apprentice of Kei Aoi blushed suddenly and then turned his attention on something else to avoid eye-contact at his Sensei. Then, Kei smiled and then clasped his hands in glee. He walked towards Shizuka and then shook her hands suddenly.

"Finally!" Kei Aoi exclaimed suddenly. "I was beginning to wonder that Linuen-kun was really hopeless in Kido! I am certainly surprised to know that he he knew to handle Kido well! And that's not all, I am very proud of him that he knew his Zanpakutou's name!" Kei said and then paused, turning to Linuen. "Any other Sensei wouldn't be anymore happier. #75, Quintet of 1 kan iron Pillars." Within a short snapping sound, five incerdibly tall pillars fell from the sky with loud thuds around Shizuka. However, before she could even react, three triangular barriers appeared around her and enclosed her inside, making her trapped inside a huge pyramid confinement; Falhannah stood beside the huge pyramid and observed Shizuka in silence as she kept her nearly-indestructible barriers around the Seventh Division captain.

Kei Aoi smiled and the whole area was encased in a gigantic vortex of water that immediately consumed the imaginary garden of Kei's home. Linuen stood in astonishment as one of Kei Aoi's strongest skills materialized around them. His Sensei raised his arms and then pointed his hand at him. "Now, let us see then." Linuen's eyes widened in shock as a massive burst of pressure erupted below him as the water from the ground burst forth.

Shizuka, after saying what she had felt was entirely necessary for Kei to know, had kept her eyes on ground, attempting not to meet Kei’s eyes. Being told that you were dead was definitely not anything that anybody at all would want to hear about. Thus, she was slightly stunned when she looked up and saw Kei smiling and clasping his hands together. Alright, that was an underestimation. She had been absolutely shocked when she had seen him like that, even more when he shook her hands suddenly. Raising an eyebrow, she appraised his state, wondering if he was just simply acting cheery because he had to for Linuen’s sake or there was another reason. She had been so caught up in her thoughts that she had not acted quickly enough when she had heard his Kido spell. While she was terrible at using Kido on the battlefield, the spells and their actual use was something that she knew, due to her work as a Captain. That Kido was Gochūtekkan from what she could tell so soon several barriers should be falling around her. Knowing that it would merely waste her energy if she ran about, trying to dodge it, she stayed motionless, an irritated expression on her face as the huge pyramid quickly formed around her.

Looking around herself, she let out a low whistle at the structure, examining it carefully. Cool. Maybe it would be nice to learn something like this. Shutting her eyes, she sat herself down carefully, opening her mind again. Countless thoughts flowed into her mind and she spent several moments sealing them off, concentrating on Kei. Ah well, that water might be a problem for now. From what she knew, Linuen was most likely of the element ice, due to the fact that Alestha had frozen him, there had been a ice barrier and a giant ice obelisk later, so ice and water would clash rather harshly. Quietly, she projected a telepathic message to only Linuen, Well, I was originally thinking of staying out there to help you but since your Sensei apparently doesn’t seem to like other people helping, judging by this massive pyramid around me, I’ll stay in here until I’m really needed. Don’t forget to use Rikujōkōrō, but only use it when you need to and if you have any question, just think of them and I’ll receive them, m’kay?

Linuen Frost - Kei Aoi
Seventh Division, Third Seat - Memory

Kei Aoi slightly frowned when he saw the entirety of the watery vortex become frozen solid before his eyes. He was not sad but rather impressed. He looked around as the raging attack from him became still and gave off a chilling feeling around the area. The former Fourth Division captain looked at his Zanpakutou, Falhannah, and then saw her concerned expression. He nodded at her and then she gave off a soft sigh, a chilly smoke forming in front of her. "Don't worry too much about the young, Shizuka-Taichou." Falhannah softly said at Shizuka as soon as Kei Aoi turned his head against their direction. "You do not need to send him help all the time. You seem to misunderstand the strength of my powers. Though we may be in your reality, the strength of Linuen's memories keep us two real therefore I am concluding that our skills and intelligence remains like before. If that is true, then you are severely misunderstanding my powers." She paused and gave off another sigh that sent a thicker cold smoke from her mouth. "Using my reiatsu, I can separate you from at the present 'reality' therefore closing you on this world via an extremely durable shield. That is why no one can harm you on the outside while you will not be able to escape from the inside easily. While you're there, you're in my reality thus giving me the ability to know what you think, see, feel, hear, even taste. You need not to help Linuen on this one." She said and then gazed at the Seventh Division captain that was locked inside the pyramid. Shizuka was strong enough to break that however being bound by the #75 Bakudo, it will take her some strength to get out and help Linuen.

Kei Aoi looked at the standing figure of his former apprentice, Linuen Frost, with a smile on his face. He clasped his hands together again and then gave off a short chuckle. "Well done! Well done! You've done a fine thing, Linuen-kun." Kei said happily. Linuen was breathing hoarsely and then thought of asking some help to his present captain however his thoughts disintegrated when he saw her stuck in between five huge pillars and also inside a huge glowing pyramid that he saw once before; he knew that it was Falhannah's barriers.

"Why are you keeping Shizuka-Taichou away, Sensei?" Linuen asked, his thoughts running with a lot of questions.

Kei shook his head. "This is for your own good, Linuen. This will show me what you have been training all these years. You will show me what you've learned and I do not want someone helping you out. She gave you help in your Shikai and seems that she thought you some things about life too." Kei paused. "However, you are now facing me. You are no longer my apprentice, Linuen. You are now someone on the same level with me. It is now time that we battle to our fullest."

"Sensei!"

"NO!" Kei yelled suddenly, his voice so strong that it sent of a colder feeling than the frozen vortex that formed around the destroyed garden. "I seem to have left you early so I didn't have the chance to see you grow up! This time, I shall see it! And this time, I know you will make me proud! FALHANNAH!"

The woman beside the pyramid bowed her head and then nodded. In that instant, a square-shaped blade formed in Kei's hands and then put up his battle stance. Linuen was dumbfounded for a moment before he closed his eyes to accept what he must do. There was a snapping sound and a spear appeared in Linuen's hands.

"Alestha, a Zanpakutou that freezes everything, from Kido to wind itself. Be prepared, Sensei!" Linuen exclaimed.

Kei smiled.

Shizuka crossed her arms, looking rather put out. Seriously, this was irritating. Needless to say, nobody and literally, nobody liked being told off especially by a zanpakuto spirit. Ah well, this was something that she had been hoping she wouldn’t have to deal with anytime soon. Closing her eyes, her lips curved into a semblance of a triumphant smile before disappearing. Nice one, Linuen. Ice and water. Hopefully, ice would win, right? While she was quite certain that ice had a big advantage due to the fact that it could literally freeze any water that was sent its way. However, there was one rather large problem that worried her at the moment. She sighed, toying with several thoughts in her mind before fully acknowledging what she was really turning over in her mind. While she had done her best and luckily managed to make Linuen release his Shikai, she had mainly trained him only in the workings of the mind. Definitely his mind was certainly strong now, but unfortunately, she wasn’t as sure about his…physical strength. Examining the pyramid and the five tall pillars, an interested expression appeared on her face. It might take her some time and strength to be able to break this. No point at the moment, since she had been intending to let Kei fight and train Linuen anyway.

While her telepathic abilities seemed to be unable to work, there was always the fact that despite the talk that Falhannah had said, Shizuka still remained rather in control of her actual mental link to this world and what she had created. She could still feel the koi swimming in the koi pond and Linuen and Kei’s fight. Grinning slightly, she thought, opening her eyes and looking directly at Falhannah, Yes, I must admit that this reality of yours has separated me from the actual outside, you forget the fact that there is one single power that stands above yours since this world, and since your reality is contained and controlled by the working on this particular world despite what you might stay, does not exactly go by the rules. My mental link with this entire world is what keeps everything running and tell you the truth, the world of Mangetsu is slightly twisted. While your reality can stop my usual powers, when I first created this world, I made sure the fact that I would be able to, even if I was somehow rendered useless in my physical body here, keep my control over my own world of Mangetsu and that is one thing, unfortunately, that you are unable to seal. If that was not in place and you had managed to fully separate me from this present ‘reality’, you would have been rather…foolish, I must say. After all, if my mental link is broken with this world, only one thing would happen. You and your master would disappear and Linuen would find himself immediately transported back to what my real world is. She flashed a smile, before continuing her thoughts, And…I must say, that wouldn’t be exactly what I would be after for, right?

Closing her eyes once more, she opened her mind to Falhannah again, But after saying all that, I will not interfere in the battle – you have my word. But I’d advise you to be careful – I’m watching.

Linuen Frost - Kei Aoi
Seventh Division, Third Seat - Memory

There was a sharp snapping sound and chunks of ice shards flung around the area. Kei Aoi stood amazed while Linuen never looked so pale in his life. The young man looked at his former Sensei with a shocked look on his face as he pointed his spear at him. It was only a moment later when Linuen's arms began to shake with horror and nervousness.

"What's wrong, Linuen-kun?" Kei Aoi gently asked as he began walking towards the boy; Linuen shook his head in horror and began to back his steps. "You have a great advantage in this battle. Your ice-type abilities can literally freeze my water skills. However, do not be arrogant." Kei said and then raised a finger, as if warning him. "Though you have frozen my water, there will always be an existence of water within it. In other words, though you have strong control over the ice property, please do not ignore that my ability is also about water manipulation. Now, considering that I can still control the shards even though I have the least reiatsu over it, I can still bend it due to the difference of our reiatsu.

"Simply, I am going to crush your Zanpakutou."

Meanwhile, Falhannah looked at Shizuka. "You're being too arrogant. However, you do have the right to be when we're in this place. Oh... That's why I am keeping you here, Shizuka-Taichou." She said and then smiled at the Seventh Division captain. "Because this battle is between to full-grown men now... My task is to stop you until this battle is done."

It was only a single moment when jets of water brust from the ground and shot upwards, striking Linuen at the same time. Struck by panic, Linuen let out a cry of pain as several of the jets hit his body and caused serious slash-like damage at his body. He immediately skipped out of the area where the skill was used and then waved his spear, therefore freezing water all around him, even those underground. He gave off a cold sigh as he looked at his Sensei, who was now raising his hands pointing at the young man.

"Are you scared?" Kei Aoi asked.

Linuen didn't know what to say.

Shizuka sighed, not saying anything for a while. Thinking quickly and scrambling up her thoughts, she finally settled on one thing. “Well, I guess I am being pretty arrogant. I really got to snap out of that habit sometimes. Sorry about that.” She stared at the pyramid for a little, quietly assessing what was going outside. Crap. What she had been worrying about might definitely affect Linuen’s advantage. Ice was made up of water – that was another potential problem that she had not actually thought about. She punched the pyramid in her frustration, not attempting to break it or anything like that but simply punishing herself from missing such an obvious flaw that Linuen might have to face. Damn. Lifting her head, she noticed that there was a noticeable crack in the pyramid, but she ignored it as she closed her eyes, instead following Kei and Linuen’s battle. Sheesh, if only Alestha would guide Linuen instead of Shizuka, Linuen might actually be winning this instead of being hurt. Opening her eyes again, her vision blurred for a second, but she refocused it again. Well, she’d just have to stay in here for a while, right? Hopefully, Kei wouldn’t accidentally kill Linuen or anything like that. Even though his physical body was still actually in the ‘real world’ and not in this ‘reality’ of hers, there was no telling what being killed might mean in terms of mental damage for Linuen’s mind. Maybe she’d better take her mind off these sorts of morbid thoughts for the moment. Looking directly at Falhannah again, she asked, “I’m sorry if I’m prying…but what does it feel like to know the fact that you’re…no longer around in the real world?”
