Dubwana was terribly bored today. She hadn't had a good fight in ages, as most of the creatures she came across were cowards who ran as soon as she bared her teeth. There was a time where that would've been exactly what she wanted, as it meant that she could chase down her victims. These days though, she couldn't be bothered with such games. She just wanted someone to stand up to her and pose some sort of challenge. Was that really too much to ask?
With a frustrated growl rumbling in her throat, she continued to make her way through the Graveyard.

Not far from where the purple hyena was walking, a dull grey cheetah moved carefully across the hundreds of bones that covered the ground. Uhayawani wasn't sure why she had been drawn to the Elephant Graveyard in the first place. All she knew now was that she wanted to leave.
Frowning at herself for having wandered so far in, she came to a stop. Dim yellow-green eyes carefully scanned the area, until she spotted the bright purple figure nearby. Uhayawani was cautious by nature, and so she made her way over to the purple figure very slowly, in order to make out what it was. When she realised that it was a hyena, her frown deepened. Hm, what now?

Unknown to the cheetah, Dubwana had already picked up her scent on the air. Her maw curled up as a more sinister growl radiated in her throat. Maybe today wouldn't end up being so boring after all. All she had to do was try and take this intruder on by surprise. Maybe lull them into a false sense of security. It wouldn't be as good a challenge as she wanted, but at least it would mean that they have no chance to run away.
Grinning at her own plan, Dubwana turned in the direction of the scent. When she spotted that it was a cheetah, her grin soon faded. She would have no chance of catching that cheetah if she fled, so she would have to choose her words carefully. For Dubwana, that would probably be the biggest challenge of all.

As Uhayawani made her way over to the hyena, she continued to remain cautious. When the hyena turned to face her, she hesitated for a moment. Why was she here again? This all seemed so foolish, being in a massive Graveyard and turning to a hyena for help. Things had really gone down hill for her since Akia went missing. She couldn't help but think about him, even though he broke her heart by vanishing.
She would have to move on though. A lot of bad things had happened to her in her life, and she had always managed to get through it. Now was no different, and so she started walking again.

Dubwana noted the hesitation of the female cheetah. That wasn't really a good sign, as it meant that she was cautious. She was almost there though, and so the sinister hyena went out to meet her. "Hello there." She said with a small but obviously forced smile. "You look lost. Do you need some help?"
Dubwana's eye twitched as she tried to keep an expression on her face that didn't reveal her true intentions. This approach was totally new to her, and already she wasn't sure if it was going to work.

They grey cheetah stopped dead in her tracks when the purple hyena moved to meet her. She wasn't too worried at that point, as she knew that she could easily outrun a hyena. On second thoughts though, the hyena was probably better at navigating this place, as well as running on the horrible uneven ground. Still, she didn't want the hyena to sense her doubts, and so she stood firm.
"Hello." She replied with a nod of acknowledgment. "You guessed right, I am a bit lost." She then motioned in the direction she had come from. "I've been walking this way for ages. Do you know exactly where I'm heading?"

Dubwana followed the cheetah's gaze to see where she had come from. She then tutted and shook her head. "My my, you're very lost indeed." She smirked. "You're actually heading deeper into the Graveyard. In fact, I'm pretty sure that this direction leads to one of the many hyena packs that roam this area." Saying that, she scowled a little. Dubwana had never been one for packs, and in her mind, she was stronger and tougher then any pack just on her own.
When she realised she was scowling, she let out a small chuckle and again flashed another rather forced smile. "Come, I'll lead you out." With that, she motioned for the cheetah to join her at her side.

Uhayawani wasn't sure that she trusted the hyena. She hadn't even introduced herself, and she seemed to really struggle to smile genuinely. Already the cheetah regretted having walked over to the hyena. Now she just wondered how she would escape.
"Oh, really?" She had no idea if the purple hyena was telling the truth or not. She may claim to be leading her out, but actually, she may be leading her further into the Graveyard. "Um...I don't mean to be rude, but are you absolutely sure that you know the way out?" Uhayawani did not want to go with the hyena, as she didn't trust her at all. She figured she could make a run for it at any time though, so hopefully she would be OK.

Dubwana was quickly losing her patiance. "Of course I'm sure!" She snapped, bearing her very sharp teeth at the cheetah. That's it, the 'nice' hyena that she had attempted to portay was long gone. She knew she wouldn't be able to keep up the act for very long. "You ignorant cat, I'm a hyena. If anyone knows these lands, it's me. So do you want my help or not?"
The large purple hyena was unsure now if the cheetah would join her. If she launched herself at her from here, would she be able to grab her? It was certainly worth a shot, if the cheetah was just a little bit closer. With that in mind, she took a step towards the cheetah.

Uhayawani flinched as the hyena raised her voice. It was definately time to leave, as she could tell that the hyena was getting angrier and angrier by the minute. "You know what? I think I'd rather find my own way out, thank you." Her voice was firm, as she attempted to hide her fear. Uhayawani hadn't seen many hyenas in her life, but this one was the biggest by far. Hopefully that meant that she was slow.
Holding her head high, she turned and started walking away from the hyena. She didn't completely have her back to her just yet, and she was ready to run if needs be.

Dubwana snarled as the cheetah declined her offer. "You ungrateful weakling!" She spat, the fur on her back standing on edge. "I'll make you regret having ever crossed my path!" With that, the massive hyena ran towards the cheetah, her thick paws crunching loudly across the bone-covered ground. Then when she thought she was close enough, she leaped, attempting to land directly on top of the cheetah.

Uhayawani didn't have much time at all to react. No sooner had the hyena threatened her that she was running towards her and attempting to pin her down. The cheetah immediatly sprang into movement, just managing to dodge the hyena's attack. She then ran as fast as her long legs would carry her.
She ran for ages until she finally began to slow down and stop. Panting heavily, she looked all around her for the purple hyena. She was nowhere in sight. What she did spot though were trees on the horizon. That must be the end of the Graveyard! Breathing a sigh of relief, Uhayawani started heading in that direction. She was finally (hopefully) going to be safe now.
