Hey Will, I have a slight problem. I don't know if the rumors about this have hit your Outpost yet, but people here seem to think that you and I are dating. I'll explain what happened ASAP, but until then, would you do me a huge favor and go along with it?

That had been the e-mail she'd sent only a few days earlier, after she'd heard the whispers in the Cafeteria, and even from those in the infirmary, that she and Will were going out. Granted, she probably caused it, since she basically yelled it out loud at Panther when they had that argument that shattered any hope she had of ever getting back together with him. But what could she do? If she denied it, Panther would have more of a reason to not trust her (not that she cared at that moment) and she'd be the girl who cried boyfriend; if she let it stand, Will would probably hate her... or worse, actually WANT to date her (not that he was bad looking, it was just too soon for her to date).
So, now she was speeding through the streets on the way to the Outpost to meet up with Will and explain to her that she had panicked and stuff, and used his name because she didn't think anyone would know him at the HQ, certainly not well enough to cause rumors.
Eyes narrowing as the light turned yellow up ahead, she floored it, yanking her emergency break to pull a drift into the turn she needed to make, then kept at it down the streets. It wasn't before too long that she pulled up to the parking lot of the empty subway station. Stepping out of the car, she wore her black high-heeled boots, a pair of mid-thigh jean shorts, and a tank top that showed a sliver of her stomach between the edge of the shirt and the beginning of her skirt. Her shades covered her eyes, and her hair was pulled into the typical pigtails. On her belt around her skirt were 5 pokeballs; her full team.
As she locked the door, she looked around to see if she was going to be escorted at all, or if they were waiting for her to come and trip up security. She had her ID on her, but she wasn't too thrilled about flashing it around in public. After waiting a few seconds and not seeing anyone, she walked down the rickety old stairs into the subway, her heels clacking once she hit the concrete ground.

Will had stared at the email for a long time, reading and rereading to make sure he had gotten it right. His jaw had gone slack just a bit in his disbelief.
The two of them... dating? But he had just met her! They barely knew each other! Wasn't this just a bit sudden? She had certainly better have a damn good explanation for this.
So shocked by the email was he, that he didn't even know how to respond. And instead he decided to just wait till she got there for her to explain herself before he went into a full fledged reaction.
As Kofuku descended into the subway terminal, a hand went out and quickly grabbed her by the arm then pulled her off to the side. "What do you think you're doing?!" Will hissed quietly, his visor hiding whatever emotion was on his face as his mouth was just drawn into a straight line as he stared at her.
"I hope you have an explanation." He told her. Sure, he liked her, Kofuku proved to be nice and fun. But well... he wasn't sure he liked her in -that- way! Did she even realize what kind of position she had just put him in?! Probably not but that didn't really matter at this point.

Unexpectingly finding herself yanked to the side, Kofuku let out a small yelp, reaching up and shoving her shades to the top of her head to look at her 'captor'. The instant she recognized Will, her face broke out into a wide smile. "Willy! I take it you got the e-mail I sent then?"
Her voice was light, sounding rather joyous, and she rubbed the back of her head with a slightly nervous laugh. "So, uhm, I sort of panicked a bit when the guy that I'd been unofficially dating who ended up being a total a** to me made mention that there would 'be a next time' where we'd be together. So I sort have maybe might have blurted out in front of what could have been a busy cafeteria that I was dating you to get back at him. It worked, but now there's this rumor going around."
Tilting her head a little to the side, she gave him another big grin. "But, it IS great to see you!"

Will rubbed his forehead in exasperation at Kofuku's explanation. It certainly did not ease his concerns any.
"Great..." Will replied with a sigh, clearly not happy about this situation. She could have said anything else! But no.. she had to make up this story about them dating. He wanted to throttle her, but managed to retain his self control.

Kofuku looked down, sensing he was not happy at all. "I'm really sorry, Will. I was just panicked and hurt, and I shouldn't have dragged you into this." There was no smile on her face, no joy in her voice, not even a hint of a giggle.
"It's been a long week, and I'm sure you're really upset right now. If you'd like, I can go right now. We don't have to hang out today." She would have loved to still hang with the guy, but if he was really mad at her, especially after what she'd just pulled, then she would totally understand him not wanting to be around her.

Will pinched the bridge of his nose as if he had a sudden headache coming on, and then sighed.
"No... you shouldn't have," Will replied tersely.
However, the red head's hand dropped back to his side and he had to take a deep breath then let it out again. Getting angry at her wouldn't solve anything. The damage had already been done.
"You don't have to go. What's done is done. What's important is... how we proceed from here."

The look on Kofuku's face was pure, priceless shock and surprise; she couldn't believe that he wasn't telling her to get out of here. Especially considering her recent track record with guys who she'd pissed off. She stared at him with wide eyes, jaw dropped a bit, before she found her voice and blinked a few times. Running a hand through her bangs, she sighed.
"That's a good question; how do we proceed?" Not really caring the ground was covered in filth and grime, she dropped herself onto it, tucking her legs off to the side of her. "To be honest, I have no idea where to even start. I've never been in love before, never had to experience this crap shoot heartbreak, and I've never been in so much of a panic to use a friend. I have no ideas on what we-no, I, since this is my fault. I have no ideas on what I should do."

Dropping down to sit on the ground only a few feet away, Will sighed as he leaned against a pillar. His head tilted up slightly to stare at the ceiling.
Kofuku's mention of love and heartbreak drew a small smile, but he remained quiet for several moments.
"I don't really know what to tell you. One thing I do know though, is that you've dug your hole pretty deep. Try not to get yourself buried in the process."
Even if this was her fault and she needed to fix it, it still meant he was involved.

Once Will was on the ground with her, she crawled over and flopped against him, resting her head on his shoulders and staring out at a Rattata as it ran across the deserted tracks. She gave a slow sigh, pushing out her lower lip to blow her bangs up a bit.
"Well, I want to try to fix it before I get myself any further." Her voice was soft, and a bit depressed sounding.
After a few moments of silence, she clapped her hands together and pulled away, forcing herself to stand up and accidentaly flashing bright pink panties before she straightened down her skirt. They were the very same panties that had once been used by Gizmo as a pokeblal carrying device. "Well, I don't know about you, but this place is making me more depressed than I want or need to be. I vote for going out to the beach, or into town, or something much more cheery, because I don't think ANY good ideas or solutions are going to come to either of us here."

Will's body immediately went rigid as she flopped against him, catching him completely off guard. Eyes were wide for a moment behind his visor and his hands clenched into fists. Despite the fact that he was quite tense, Will said nothing. He simply nodded dumbly in reply to her statement.
Once she pulled away, he relaxed and breathed out a small sigh of relief. That is until he saw a flash of bright pink beneath Kofuku's shirt, causing him to quickly look away.
The sudden distraction almost caused him to completely miss what she said next.
"Huh? ... Oh, yeah, I guess." He coughed once and pushed himself to his feet.

Smacking her hands over her clothes to shake and dust off all the dirt and grime, she looked to him. "Have any good ideas fer places to go, or is it going to be all up to me?" Her voice didn't sound depressed at all, and it held it's usually perky tone, now that the subject wasn't on something so troubling and upsetting.
"Oh! And you get to see my awesome driving! You know, I've never had a passenger in the car before! This will be exciting!"

Will was about to respond until she mentioned her driving. Quickly his memory went into gear and he recalled her telling him of her... last drive here.
"NO!" He shouted suddenly. However, he remembered himself and cleared his throat. "I mean... That's okay. I'll drive."

Kofuku jumped when he shouted, blinking and turning to stare at him with a surprised look on her face. Said look then melted into a bright smile. "Awww, you're going to drive? Fine, then that means I'll treat for ice cream, or whatever we decide to do, deal? And you can't pull the 'man has to pay for the lady' bit 'cuz we're not really dating." She had a triumphant grin on her face, hands placed at her hips.
"So let's go then?"

"Yeah, sure, that's fine." He said in a manner that was a little too rushed. Whatever she wanted, just as long as Kofuku didn't drive. He preferred to live.
"Sure... keys?" He would need the keys to the vehicle after all.
"I know where the closest beach access is."
With that, Will climbed the stairs up towards where she had parked her vehicle.

The keys were put in Will's possession and Kofuku followed up behind him on the stairs. "You got a dirt stain on your butt." She commented casually as she walked over the the passenger side of the car and waited for him to unlock it before she hopped in.
