Ok ive been hearing about this guy can you friends help me understand who is he im started to think he might be the anti-christ but religious beliefe your thoughts and knowlodge on it?

The short story is that he's basically the Buddhist messiah. Maitreya is prophesied to come to Earth when the teachings have been lost, in order to revive them, if I'm remembering right. As such, Maitreya probably won't be arriving anytime soon.
Theosophy has kind of co-opted the idea of Maitreya, but I'm not really sure what they have to say about him other than he's an ascended master and all that.

I dont believe totally in christian beliefe but I do share some of there beliefes such as the end times and the appearence of a false teacher not to get all spititul but I truly think he is the false teacher jesus spoke of.

I dont believe totally in christian beliefe but I do share some of there beliefes such as the end times and the appearence of a false teacher not to get all spititul but I truly think he is the false teacher jesus spoke of. You know muslims also believe in the anti christ by the name of the (dajjal). And im sure alot other religions prophecised it to i think....

They probably have yet this makes me feel the pain of life because how can people know and still fall for it. because religion is so corrupt. all polythiestic religions have so many satanic doctrines in it its unbelievable. just like monothiestic religions. christianity is already corrupt. muslims are slowly being corrupted being divided into sunni's & shiites. same with the jews. and the people that are corrupting these religions are non other than the elite themselves.

ooo, sorry i didn't respond sooner, didn't check this subforum, imma move this to the spiritual subforum. wiki gives you the buddhist perspective on the maitreya. The Maitreya is already here. there are people promoting his existence and even Oprah on TV told people about him and that she believes in him. The Maitreya truley is the false christ, for he claims to be christ or christ's teacher/master. Some people think the Maitreya is the second coming of christ, again they are very mislead. This is all bullshit, in an attempt to create a one world religion, for they claim that all messiahs and gods of all religions were one in the same, jesus christ reincarnated spreading his teachings around the world. this website http://www.share-international.org/ as well as others, promote the maitreya's existence. He's a man from the middle east. as for the maitreya being the antichrist, this could be so, but not until he is given a position of power on a world wide scale. i personally see it possible, but i'm thinking it will be someone else. whoever heads the despot of the NWO will be the antichrist IMO.

It's nothing new with Christianity or Islam. Even the Maya and Aztecs believed that their gods would return at the end of the cycle (end of the long count calender). As far as the "Anti-Christ" goes, he will be in a position of government for sure, he will be very popular and charismatic, he will appear to be pro-Israel (and rebuild the "third temple"), and many people will willingly follow him. I unfortunately do not know enough about the person named in the topic, but what I posted was just my 2 cents

I think most of this business has to do with the Theosophical interpretation and has nothing to do with the traditional Buddhist view of Maitreya.
