Description: Located in an open-roof stadium is the ring where the first round fights will be taking place. The sound of wild cheering from the many fans that have congregated here fill the arena in a loud uproar as cameras zoom in on the action to broadcast the fights all over the world. The floor of the arena is a glossy hard floor with the logo of GTB painted in purple and pink upon the white sheen.

Field Measurements: The fighting area is a perfect circle with a 50 yard diameter. The walls that keep the fighters away from the spectators are raised up to ten feet.

Ten Count Boundary: The ten count begins whenever the fighter is knocked out of the bounds of the fighting area, such as into the spectator seats. The flying count out is also in effect, which means, if you stay above ground by your own will for more than ten seconds, you will be DQ'd.

Fight Ends: After 11:59 PM on Jun 16th. That means when it becomes Jun 17th, fights are over.

To say that Tybalt was disdainful of this fight would be putting it mildly. The Prince of Cats had been set up against some guy he'd never heard of (not that he'd heard of any of the other contenders), and placed in an arena that was bright and garish. As if to show his disdain, he hadn't even bothered to change out of his cat form, and was currently basking in the sun in the middle of the field.

"GET THAT BEEP BEEP CAMERA OUT OF MY BEEP BEEP FACE YOU BEEP BEEP BEEEEEP*"

With a rough hand, Joel shoved one of the scrawny little reporters out of his way and walked through the big entryway and into the arena. A big snarl was ever present on the tough looking man's grizzled face, he seriously hated being put up on the stage in front of all these screaming hordes of people.

Gripping his double bladed battleaxe in one hand, Joel made his way across the open arena grounds and began searching around for his opponent. All he saw was some lazy furry napping on the ground there. This surely couldn't be his opponent, maybe a referee or something of the sort.

"Hey you!", Joel bellowed out in his gravely voice, "you know where the guy I'm supposed to be fighting is? I think his name Ty or something stupid like that."

Man, now some dude was shouting at him. Oh, wait. That was his opponent. Who was shouting at a housecat. Okay then.
"Mrow?"
Sure, even as a housecat, Tybalt could speak. He was just being a d**k.

(( ********. This is why I do not post late. I keep misreading. ))

... said guy pointed towards a cat.

Joel glanced towards the disgusting creature, a brow raised.

"This better be a joke." He glanced around, "Am I getting PUNK'd?"

"It is conceivable. However, it is far more likely, given all the evidence, that I am Tybalt Steele, the Prince of Cats, and that the organizers saw fit to match you up against me."
With this simple declaration, (which was obviously meant to demean his opponent's intelligence, because Tybalt's a d**k) the cat got up and walked over to Joel. He then proceeded to extend his claws and swipe at Joel's leg.

Having seen many strange things since coming to Gaia, a talking cat didn't appear all that out of the ordinary. It was much more insulting for the judges or whoever ran the show to place him up against a cat. Without much thought, Joel attempted to give the feline a swift right kick as it approached.

... he wasn't going to be making any fans by kicking a small creature, but it's not like he was here to make friends anyways. Plus he was already a pretty cruel b*****d, kicking small semi-helpless animals seemed to fit him perfectly.

Considering that he was a cat, cat-like grace and agility came naturally to Tybalt. What this means is that he lept to the side, with Joel's foot ruffling his fur. Tybalt the proceeded to glare at the man, almost as if he hadn't expected Joel to actually retaliate. The only proper response to such an insult was the patented claws and fangs to the groin attack. This, of course, involved leaping at a a person's groin, claws extended, and then bighting down upon contact.

"Stupid little--"

Joel's kicked missed the small animal, annoying enough. He put his foot down and glared right back at the wretched thing. "I HATE CATS!"

About the time he finished his yelling, the little thing launched itself at him, claws and teeth at the ready. Only to be violently grabbed by the neck by one of Joel's big hands. Like grabbing a small, furry ball.

MAN HE HATED CATS. They weren't as smart as dogs and were even LESS useful. Not to mention they smelled that much worse! Joel would take a dog any day over a cat! Once he had the little creature gripped tightly, he'd throw it violently to the ground and begin demanding that a REAL opponent be sent his way.

Upon impact with the ground, Tybalt bounced a bit, before stumbling to his feet, rather disoriented. After a little bit, it seemed like he was growing larger, and stretching out. The process also seemed to be thinning his fur out quite a bit, and looked mildly painful.

Experiences with werewolves had taught Joel that most magical animals have all kinds of different forms, typically they make the creature that much stronger. And so, wasting as little time as possible, Joel swung the flat of his battleaxe like a giant flyswatter towards the growing form of the cat man.

He intended to put a stop to whatever transformation was pending, not really having the desire to fight any type of SUPERCATMONSTER.

Whether or not this did anything to help him was left up to just how the transforming ability worked. Did it require concentration to perform? Or was it an innate thing that couldn't be stopped once it was set in motion. Furthermore, did the fact that Joel was going to keep swatting him matter all that much?

"I HATE CATS SO BEEP MUCH!"

"Ow."
As the flat of the battle axe came down, Tybalt completed his transformation, meaning that Joel smacked down a perfectly ordinary-looking (if slightly scrawny) naked dude. Tybalt, of course, was not pleased by this at all, and launched himself at his opponent's legs, intending to knock him down.

This was starting to get redundant.

Rather than grabbing him by the next this time though, Joel sent a sharp knee up at his now naked opponent's chin, his aim being smash his jaws together and break some teeth. It didn't help that he was driving himself right into the attack, either.

Meanwhile, in the stands...

Nobody seemed to pleased to see a naked man being brutalized on the battlefield. That's just things were going down though.

Assuming he landed his knee strike, Joel, being Joel, would continue his assault by bringing down onto the cat-man's shoulder. Normally he'd have tried to cleave through the guys skull and get the whole thing over with, but he actually felt like advancing to the next round and NOT being disqualified for man... cat slaughter.

Thanks to a little basic engineering on his part, one side of the blade was razor sharp and the other side blunted. That way he could crack armor and deal damage without killing his opponent, but just as easily take a life if he found himself thrust into a very hazardous situation. You have to plan ahead, that's what made Joel a very good fighter.

Slam! Joel's knee impacted with Tybalt's jaw, cracking it and a few of his back teeth. Even dazed he retained his cat-like agility, meaning that he was able to partially roll out of the way, still catching the blunt side on his ribs. Rightly angry now, Tybalt stumbles to his feet, and attempts to drive his knee into Joel's groin. Needless to say, he has no concept of a fair fight.

Joel didn't waste any time moving in the direction of his opponent as soon as he'd evaded the axe-swing. Trudging up towards him, his free hand balled into a fist, he aimed a punch directly for the guys already busted up mouth. Little did he expect a sudden knee to the balls!

"... uck.."

The sight of a man taking a knee to the nads made every single man in the audience cringe. It wasn't likely the cat-man had escaped his heavy punch to the face, though, either, as both attacks came about as suddenly as the other. Nothing like a good ole double whammy when BOTH fighters want to attack.

Coughing and catching his breath, Joel rubbed his c**k n' balls and then stood right back up. It occurred to him that this guy had aimed for his balls TWICE. If that was his attack strategy, well, Joel excepted this wouldn't be the last time his little soldiers came under fire. He'd have to watch out for that.

Or maybe he could end this before it happened again. Here's to hoping.
