"They're late," the young girl muttered, leaning against her rock. Darcy was rather irritable this evening, probably because of the preparations she and Aaron had been working on. She wished they'd hurry up; she was tired, exhausted, and wanted to get some sleep before morning came. Stupid adults, always taking their sweet time. Her mental tirade came to a halt as a yarn rippled through her.
"Jaella's never failed us," Aaron pointed out, rolling his eyes at his sister's impatience. "They'll be here. Just wait." The boy sat on the rock, looking down at his sister as he held the two kids in his lap. He wanted to move his leg, but at the moment....his sister was kind of using it as a pillow. And it was falling asleep. Joy.

“We’re horribly late; I hope they’re not too upset. Next time we’ll just have to find someone else to babysit the girls if Victoria makes her late nights a habit.” Kaida muttered to her partner and they made their way briskly up the path towards the cave. As she walked she fiddled with a letter that she held, occasionally reopening it to check the details.
Inside said cave a little girl gave a small murmur of protest and flicked her tail as she was briefly woken from her nap by the siblings talking. Yawning she curled up tighter and snuggled into the warmth of Aaron before falling back to sleep.

"You know Tori- she is 12 going on 200. I hope Philip is just a phase or we're in trouble," Vlad sighed. "Big trouble," he murmured.
He put his arm around Kaida's waist in hopes of getting her to stop fidgeting. "It's all going to work out. We've got plenty of space for whatever we may get out of this trip... Even a baby sitter if we could get her to stay put for more than two seconds," he shook his head at the last part.

Darcy stood up, away from her rock and her comfy leg-pillow. "Hello." She greeted, her tone lukewarm. "Judging by your backgrounds, I'm sure you can guess why you've been called out here." She smiled; she'd tried a different approach to picking a family this time. She went for a large one instead of a small one. It'd prove to be interesting.
Aaron looked up, smiling slightly. "Good evening." he greeted softly, nodding. He didn't want to wake the little ones, after all.

Kaida shot a small grin towards Cassara at her comments and attempted to stop fidgeting, she really couldn't help it. Their other three children had just chosen them, there'd been none of the nervousness involved in an adoption like this.
When they finally entered the cave Kaida gave a quick glance around, eyes settling on the group which caused her to smile. The sleeping children in her opinion look absolutely adorable and the family nature of the scene caused her to have a positive first impression of the people that had summoned them. "Hello, pleasure to meet you both." Kaida said with an equally low voice as them, not wanting to disturb the children either.

"Rhine's going to call us rabbits," Vlad mumbled. He was quick to laugh though because in all honesty it was just that funny. Coming from a family of eight and no one expecting him to have a family at all was suddenly the one with the largest.
"Evening," he said as he turned his attention more so towards the pair of the girls than his wife. Though, he eyes didn't stay in one place for once. He was taking in everything about the place and the 'occupants'. "The reason we are here is so obvious that if it were a snake we'd have been bitten already. Though from the looks of the two in the corner it looks like we are in for being bitten anyways," he grinned. "Good thing dragons are born with tough skin, and vampires are given the natural ability to heal themselves," he winked.

Darcy smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, I'm sure." she said, bowing slightly. She chuckled at the man's sense of humor. "As you've correctly assumed, these two are to be your new charges. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, please feel free to speak up about them now. I'm you two know the routine."
Aaron made his way over carefully, doing his best not to jostle the sleeping infants. "Here, can you take at least one of them? They're a bit heavy." he said, smiling slightly. It wasn't that he couldn't hold them....he'd just lost feeling in his leg and wanted to regain the blood flow to the limb everyone'd been using as a pillow.

Giving a small laugh at her husbands remark she internally agreed. "Just the usual information, if they have any dietary requirements, allergies or other things we should watch out for." Kaida said pleasantly. Truly any information was a blessing, usually they went in blind.
When Aaron asked for them to take one Kaida stepped forward and took the little snake girl from him, the other girl seemed to have a tight grip on him. Hannah at the movement opened one of her eyes again, checked where she was, before snuggling into her new heat source.

Vlad stepped forward and carefully took the younger of the two into his arms. He made soft shushing noises and smiled. "We've pretty much become pro's at this..." his voice was barely above a whisper.
Harley yawned as she stretched. It was evident that she was hardly phased by being shifted around.

"Well, as far as we've observed, we haven't seen any dietary or allergy issues. You may want to keep an eye out, just in case any crop up as they grow older." Darcy said, nodding. "Oh, you may want to keep the naga girl warm. You know, with the whole snakes and cold-blooded thing. Yeah. Don't know if she's cold blooded or not, but better safe than sorry."
"They'll also have some sort of magical ability." Aaron added, since his twin had oh-so-conveniently forgot to mention that to the new parents. "So be careful and try not to be too surprised when the abilities start showing." The be careful was added just in case one of the kids had telekinesis or something else that could cause injury or property damage.
