x x x x x x x x x x x x x Today didn't seem particularly special. It was partly cloudy with an obscured horizon in the distance, portending rain within several hours at the least. There was very little wind to be had, and the summer heat was quickly forcing him to occassionally dab at his forehead with the back of his hand. Before him stood the Facility, a stoic silver slab behind barbed gates as it always had been: forlorn, silent, a man-made monolith impassive to the ethically-questionable activity within. If windows coudl be eyes, and if eyes were truly the windows to the soul, then they sometimes belied the enigmatic experiements. A flash here, a yowl there, barks of a dog echoing over whichwhere, footsteps upon a pristine floor covered with the blood of his brethren: the symphony of science.
The black cat grinned humourlessly as he eyed the building. Poetry through tragedy! This was not the mindset he needed to address those whom would soon be coming to meet him before these gates. How many could come, he wondered. Would their force be enough to withstand The Facility and rescue those within? "It isn't like me to doubt," he murmured to himself.
Somewhere in the distance, a soft rumble of thunder was heard. Today only seemed to be like no other . . . But the air was still, the heat slowly beginning to cool down, the atmosphere tensing for a storm.

Lila made her way slowly to Red Eyes side as he stood watching the ugly building before them, she'd left him earlier to scout the perimeter and now returned with her report. She came up just in time to hear his remarks but decided not to acknowledge that she had, instead she would put his mind towards business which would help to dispel such doubts within himself. "Looks pretty clear" she told him "Not many changes since the last time we looked at it and no signs of any interference...yet" Though why someone would want to keep this place going was beyond her. She wouldn't leave it up to chance however and had done as thorough of a sweep as time allowed.
"An ugly day for a battle though" She observed while looking to the murky horizon and contemplating the humidity that would no doubt precede it. It was already hot and would probably get worse before things were through. Not that she would notice, once things got started the heat would be a secondary concern, it would be something she would deal with afterwards, providing of course that she survived. There was always the chance that you wouldn't. But the heat sapped energy and spirits, made it harder to energize and motivate those who would fight.
That would be Red Eye's problem - it was his call to action that would gather them and would be his duty to make sure they were of the proper mindset to get it done. "Hope you've got a suitable speech ready, Cats should start arriving soon" Or she hoped anyways - planning was all well and good but once your stood in front of the doors to your objective it was best not to hesitate to terribly long or self doubt and second guessing et in.

Amaranth could feel the heat, smell the storm, and hear the thunder in the distance, with her precision hearing. Her skin tingled, and formed little goosebumps with the anticipation of what she and Siam had wanted to do for a long time. And that day had finally arrived. They were going to storm the large maze of a building that they called The Facility. Inside cats were suffering, even now. Amaranth stopped, drawing her blade-a perfectly balanced, and well-taken-care of katana. It would be time to use it soon. She stood still, cutting and slicing through the air in front of her before stopping and nodding. Yes, with her other shuriken and smoke bombs as well, she was prepared.
Siam stood beside her, adjusting the belts on her legs so her ammo could easily be reached. She holstered two guns, that were polished and shone; guns that would be shot with the utmost precision. Siam had deadly accurate aim, and not just that, but also previous experience. She had performed missions like this before. She'd do anything to rescue a cat. In fact it had been her that rescued Amaranth. She took a deep breath, and stepped forward when she noticed 'Romeo'. "Let's go Ammy," she ordered.
"Right," the blind Tonkinese replied as she sauntered after her friend. Her heart was beating so fast she could hardly stand it. And with her heightened senses she could feel the horrible aura that grew stronger when they neared the building outskirts. Also the scent of dogs permeated the air. ".........."
"Hello there Romeo, nice to see you again," Siam said with a smile. "Amaranth and I are ready to roll when you are.
The other cat nodded. "Ready."

Asmodeus had heard BC Going on and on about some kind of attack on the facility, and being second in charge in the territory he couldn't help but want to join in and see what the other leader was capable of. He had yet to really meet the male and didn't know anything about his fighting style. He walked towards the large building that had been causing so many cats so much trouble. He pulled his long hair over his shoulder and began braiding it night and tight. He did this for serious fights so that he wasn't distracted by his hair. He hummed softly as he walked, always seeming less violent then he really was.
As he rounded the hill he saw the fence line and four other cats standing there waiting around. Well he sure knew how to draw a crowd. He smirked, finished his braid and walked up to the others and looked them over. He was the only other male here? What the heck! Not that girls couldn't fight, and these two sure looked like they could, he just didn't understand why more males didn't want to join in this fight. Just for the chance to fight something! He sighed softly and looked at BC, nodding softly. He didn't feel like talking for once, just wondered how much fun this really was going to be.Spicy Marmalade! Now that it's exploded into being, seize hold of this evening's chance.

Airi slowly pulled her silky back hair up into a high ponytail on her head, pieces of hair tumbled around her face artfully. Not enough to slow her down, but enough that she always felt feminine. After pulling her hair up she took out two new packs of wrap and carefully wrapped her hands and knuckles. She carried no weapons, wanted none, she fought with her hand and it was honest. The humans would feel no qualm with tranquilizing her or worse, but at least if that happened she knew that she hadn’t stooped to the same level they were on.
Taking a bracing breath she looked at the idiot next to her and felt an almost uncontrollable urge to laugh.
Meesha picked at the hem of her dress with more fear than anything else. She was pretty sure the scent of her own fear was rolling off of her in giant waves. Perhaps the waves would knock the building over and nothing bad would happen today. Like the other female she had no weapons, but unlike the other she wasn’t trained to fight. She had volunteered to come today to help corral others but she hoped she’d be going in last. Grabbing scared kittens and shoving them out was more her style than taking down humans.
Whimpering, she looked at the girl that was waiting on her, “Meesha scared.”
“Yeah well, deal with it or go home, this ain’t a tea party.”
“Meesha likes tea parties.. maybe we could…”
“Forget it, get your butt in gear now.”
Two females walked over to the others, one soft and pretty one hard and wiry. With a curt bow from one and a nervous curtsy from the other, Airi spoke for them both.
“We’re ready.”

Atreo walked toward the group he saw gathering. He was significantly younger than anyone he saw in the distance, he only hoped that they would take him. He hesitated for a moment as he saw Amaranth, she was the leader of the territory he had just joined. He hadnt met her yet and he was a little nervous that this would be how they meet. She might think he was just trying to impress her or prove something, but that wasn't it. Atreo absolutely loved kittens, he loved children, how full of life and happy they always were. He was normally a prim and perfect gentleman, but how could he sit back and let what the facility does keep going? He had to do something! He couldnt imagine what was going on in there, he had never met anyone from there, but the fact that they would harm kittens or really anyone was unacceptable!
He took one more breath and closed the distance between him and the group. He noticed that while he had paused to think two younger girls had joined, this made him feel a little bolder and so he walked with the pride and purpose that he had intended to come with.
"I'm in, if you'll take me."

Meesha glanced over at Atreo and bounced over to him happily, the fear of what was to come completely forgotten because of how cute the other cat looked. Without a thought she picked up his cape and gently played with it, admiring the purple and gold colors she swished her ridiculously fluffy tail and purred at him.
"Meesa Meesha, Nice to meetcha! You sure is cuuuute." Curtsies to him and then puts a hand over her mouth the try to stifle another giggle.

Like dogs to the sound of a whistle they came, one by one (or a pair at the same time, twice ironically) - and to think, he would mostly be visited by females! The black cat was fully aware he had chatted with a few females, yes, but to think that they would easily outnumber them . . . Trivial, yes, but an odd observation nonetheless. He offered the group a pleasant smile, pleased to see that Siam and Amaranth had kept their promise, and of course to have Lila his right paw with him. El's general had also decided to arrive, so perhaps El himself was on his way soon? Not that he could wait on either his ally or Tempo, but first he had to get acquainted with this group and assess their abilities.
"It's good to see this city harbors willing paws to this cause," he began as one of the more active ones began to bounce about one of the few males there. "I welcome you today as comrades. There is no need for a speech nor introductions, for time is of the essence. There are at least several others who may join us still, yes, but the focus must be on destroying this abomination of a building. So!" He clapped his hands together, sweeping his gaze from one face to another. "First I must ask if any of you has had previous experience with The Facility. We must pool our knowledge together and have a plan before rushing in."

Embarrassment heated Airi’s face, she knew that what she had been doing for the past few weeks was dangerous and because of that she had told noone of her doings. Perhaps it would be best to keep quiet and take time to think of another plan? Uncertainty danced across her face, but she made up her mind quickly and resolutely. If others tsk’d at her for her behavior… screw ‘em. She’d made it into the facility three times now and she’d managed to not be caught. Once she had even crawled into an empty cage to hide. Sure, the door could have been locked and she would have been screwed, but that hadn’t happened, now had it?
Squaring up she stepped forward, short and petite, almost seeming too fragile to do anything of use save for the scars that were liberal on her legs and from training her arms and even one or two on her face. She lifted her chin as if to take a punch and then spoke firmly but quietly, “I’ve been sneaking around the Facility for a few weeks now, I’ve figured a way in and out, but it’s a narrow opening and I don’t believe that it’d be good for mass exodus of cats or for larger cats to get through. If you look along that back wall you’ll see a tiny opening where ventilation leaves the building, I can fit through it and into the inside where I compromised the screws so the vent cover comes on and off without a fuss. From there I know how to get to one room filled with cages.” Leaving off for a moment, Airi closed her eyes thought then spoke again, “It’s dangerous though, the hallways have no hiding places. If one human or dog catches sight of a cat there then ONE would probably make it out safely even two… after that though? The vent is too hard to squeeze through quickly.”
Having said her piece she crossed her arms over her chest, daring someone to chastise her for already having made use of herself.

Others had quickly joined them and while on first impressions some of them made Lila question their skills, her tail merely twitched while she herself kept silent, turning her attentions to the task at hand. She trusted Red Eye to use them all to the best of their abilities.
Arching a brow slightly as one cat stated she'd been sneaking about and had a way in, Lila hoped the cat was being truthful - it would be incredibly bad to get inside and find she hadn't been. But Lila was prone to thinking the worst of those she met until she got the chance to know them...there wasn't time for such things now so she would just have to give them all the benefit of the doubt. "Humans are notoriously clumsy in the dark..and the windows are small and far between.. perhaps if we could disable the lights the hallways would be fractionally safer" She suggested.

Siam and Amaranth listened to the others intently. They all had good points. Siam took in every new face, while Ammy busied herself assessing the scent of each individual as she would need to be able to tell them apart.
That's when Amaranth spoke up, "We'll we've done this before, like when we rescued Odette. It's true that it's easiest to get around in small numbers. But we do know the areas where they are housing cats. As for entering and exiting, we took out a few guard dogs and made it inside a larger door out back."
Siam nodded. "I think they keep more dogs around that area, because there are less humans there to intervene if someone were to break in. That may or may not be the case. We'd have to be extra careful that they didn't suit up that area with more dogs since we left quite a mess before." She sweat dropped, but forced a smile. "That way wooould be perfect for getting cats out though."
"Oh, we also have a cell to call Odette if we do get lost. She's the one who spent the most time in there out of the three of us."

As several cats began gathering near the Facility, preparing to storm the building and take out the human organization running it, a pair of vivid blue eyes silently observed amid a pale face framed by wispy blue hair. Ikuto had learned about this raid shortly after his escape from the organization, Tempo had mentioned it to him when he returned to check in at the Ruins. The ideas being posed by these individuals, some of which he knew at varying levels, were all decent in their own right, but he knew none of them would work.
Dropping down from the tree he was in, the blue-tipped Bombay landed in a crouch near the apparent leader of this operation, pulling himself back to his feet smoothly to first glance at the taller man and then to the assembly of cats. Although notorious for being one to work alone, he was well aware of the magnitude of what they were about to attempt. "The ventilation ducts, while good for getting in undetected, will be inaccessible once things begin to move." He began, his voice quiet and smooth. Blue eyes locked on the petite Airi for a moment, a grin quirking at the corner of his mouth, "These humans have been doing nothing but study us, they're not as stupid as others you might find in this town. They know how we work, and enough of us have escaped that they're aware of where to go looking." His tail curled up, the tip flicking pensively as he slid his cool gaze to meet the fiery eyes of the group's leader, "The only option for leaving is through the front door, if you get what I mean. If you're going to take this place down, you're going to have to be thorough and do it seriously."
Granted, the only cat he could claim to know at least well enough to call friend was Airi, having survived through both the Facility and testing from organizations before coming to Ikebukuro, Ikuto was confident in his ability to provide ample assistance to this group's cause. A bell sounded lightly as another female made her way towards the group, a long Bo slung across her shoulders with a couple of brass bells dangling from one end. Her hips swayed with a confident sass as she came to a stop among them, bronze-colored gaze sweeping across each face. "Hmn... So here we are again," She chuckled softly, noting the few that didn't exactly belong there and ensuring that she would keep an eye on them, "Same mission, but with a different group, this time. I wonder, will the results be improved?" The Bobtail sported a fanged grin when her gaze settled on Ikuto and a strange cat who had just addressed everyone. "It's good to see you made it out alive; that guy a friend of yours?" Pulling the Bo from her shoulders in one hand, Demi shifted her attention to the suited black cat while placing her other hand on her hip with an assertive air, "I don't have a clue who you are, but to answer your question, I've been through here before on an earlier rescue mission. I know how this place is laid out on the inside, at least as far as where the captured cats are being held. If anything, I could assist in freeing those guys."

Atreo was suddenly distracted by the other cat his age dancing around him. He had never really gotten attention like this before, especially since he only ever dealt with kittens. He was pretty socially inept when it came to dealing with his own age group because of this lack of experience. He watched the girl and tried to think of something to say so she wouldn't think he was being rude.
"Oh...ah...salutations, Meesha I'm Atreo. It is nice to make your aquaintance." Atreo didnt quite know how to respond to her calling him cute. He never really thought about how he looked, he just always tried to look his best. He almost made a comment about what such an innocent flower was doing here but he bit it back, everyone here was obviously very dedicated to helping these cats and though he meant no offense he didnt want to be misunderstood.
He heard the adults talking about vents and sneaking around the facility, the other girl who came with Meesha seemed to know a way to get in but only for smaller cats and that gave Atreo an idea. "Well since it seems necessary to travel in small groups perhaps us smaller cats could go first through the ventilation and quietly open a window or door. If we do it from the inside it might be less likely to set off an alarm which could buy us time and an escape route." Atreo fidgeted as his mind began to go through a few different scenarios. The older cat who had just arrived had a valid point, the ducts wont be useful if they are detected so he hoped his plan of only using the ducts to get to a better entrance would take. he had never been a part of a rebellion before and though he had some confidence in his plan he didn't want to accidentally make a fool out of himself.

Asmodeus watched the other cat as they talked. He watched the silly one in the blue dress with the pigtails talk to the funny one in the cape. He sighed and rested a hand on his blade handle as he watched BC when he spoke.
This was going to be interesting. "I'll take out the lights. No problem. I like busting up s**t. Never been here before but i don't like the idea of it being here. So lets scope it out and see what we can see no? Can we get a little closer and be safe? Any one have binoculars or something?" He asked as he looked over the hill and through the fence at the building. He wondered what he would find in there. he had heard stories but hadn't been sure what was true and what wasn't. He looked over the others and wondered if he was going to have to baby sit any of the ones who had no weapons. This was going to be a hassle....

Lila fell silent as the others continued talking - her attention drawn upwards by a rustle in the tree's mere seconds before the blue-tipped male made his appearance. Lila's eyes narrowed and her knuckles whitened as she gripped her saber hilt, for a self labeled over protective guard such an entrance was enough to make her twitch. The stranger had landed far far to close to Red Eyes for Lila's comfort - and she had to remind herself that all those gathered were here to help not harm several times before her grip lightened.
She did however display her disapproval with with an irritated look and comment before turning her attention's back to the others. "I'm quite sure we're all aware of the task we face". They were still going on about things - Lila was pretty certain that Red eyes had already worked out a skeleton plan and she wasn't overly worried about how they would go about things. "just tell me where you need me to go Darkfur" She told BC a a quiet aside.
