To say Kofuku was happy would have been to say that water was wet. Even though the clouds covered the sky, the air was still comfortably warm, and it was a great day to get out of the HQ. 'Especially with Panther still working in the halls' she thought bitterly, a frown on her face as she drove closer to the out post. Yes, that was right, she was driving! Granted, it was an automatic, and she'd learned pretty quickly where the break, gas, emergency break and the horn was; everything else wasn't necessary.
Pulling up into the city after what felt like an eternity of driving through the sand, her stomach flipfloped as she entered into traffic. Glancing at the instructions she had tapped to the steering wheel, she hoped that she wouldn't get into an accident. Crashing a car would probably have her pay docked for the next life and a half. After several close calls and having made new friends with angry drivers whom she'd almost caused accidents with, she finally found herself diving up to where her directions stopped.
Pulling up to an abandoned subway terminal, a frown etched itself into Kofuku's face and she got out of the car. "Oh hell's bells." She muttered, looking around to make sure no one else was around. Popping open the hatchback of the car, she pulled out a rather large, sealed cardboard box and held it by one of the punched in handles on the side, keeping it pressed against her hip as she closed her car up and locked it.
"So.... now what, stupid instructions don't say anything else..." She mumbled under her breath, looking around. Not that she really minded. It was nice to be so far away from the HQ and from Panther, considering what had happened only two days ago; just remembering it made her head and her heart hurt. Dumb guys. The longer she was gone, at this point, the better.

Having been notified of a shipment arrival, a man with red hair wearing a visor poked his head up from a stairwell not far from Kofuku.
"Hey, over here." He called to her, seeing the box in her hands. As soon as she noticed him, the man motioned for her to follow just before he went down the steps again.
The rickety metal creaked under his weight as Will made his way down into the terminal that appeared to be ancient. Trains hadn't come through here in a long time, and it was obvious. The area had a putrid, musty smell and it was crawling with the occasional Rattata and Spinarak.
Yes, amazingly Will still had a job after the legendary mix up fiasco not too long ago. But the mistake certainly had repercussions.

At first, her back had been to him, but as soon as she heard another's voice Kofuku had turned her head to peer over her shoulder. Instantly, a wide smile came onto her face; oh thank goodness, she had the right place after all, it looked like! Walking over to follow him down the stairs, she raised an eyebrow, noticing how unsturdy they looked.
Although she was careful going down the steps, she was used to climbing through unsteady areas; heck, she'd lived in old, run down and abandoned buildings before, so those stairs were like a walk through memory lane. Sniffing a little at the thick, heavy smells in the air, she realized just how lucky she'd gotten it made by joining Team Rocket. Keeping her focus on the only other person there, this red head with the visor, she followed him through the deserted terminal, wondering if it would be ok to talk. Well, only one way to find out, right?
"Soooo," she started, not sure what to say. "How has your day been?"

For a moment he had to wonder if that was a trick question. Glancing over his shoulder at Kofuku as she asked it. However, he figured that she was probably just trying to be friendly, especially since she looked to have driven all this way by herself.
"Uh... well, its been routine, so nothing exciting. The life of a guard isn't exactly a glamorous one."
Will paused for a moment.
"What about you?" Figuring he may as well indulge the conversation she was trying to make.

The moment he had glanced over at her, Kofuku's face broke out in another wide smile, and she quickened her step as he spoke so that she was up next to him. Shifting the box so that she was using both punched in handles with both of her hands, she laughed a little as she was asked about her own day.
"Well, it's been the best one I've had in the last few days, considering the circumstances. It was fun driving for the first time; just taught myself this morning from a little video I found online for it! I popped three doughnuts, did 5 successful drifts, lost two cop cars, didn't flip my car over, and broke 100 Mph in the dessert!" She listed them off as if they were badges of glory. Now, to a passerby, it would make sense why she had angered so many people on the road today.

There was a long pause as Will listened to what her day had been like.
"This was your first day driving? From a video manual? .... Its amazing you're still alive."
The disbelief was clear in the grunt's voice, and he shuttered to think about ever riding with her. Note to self, never ride with this girl... ever. He knew there were some crazy women drivers out there, but this seemed to take the cake.

Eyes bright, she giggled at the fellow grunt's expression, she shrugged. "Well, no one else has had the time to teach me, and I grew up on the streets so I never really could learn then. And trust me," she paused, giving him a mischievously knowing grin. "You have know idea how amazing it is that I'm alive." Considering how much trouble she'd been in and out of most of her life, it was a miracle she'd lived to see the ripe age of 23.
"By the way, I'm Kofuku, what's your name?" She shifted the box a little, blowing at the bangs that were now falling into her eyes. In all of her depression over her heart break, she'd forgotten she needed to trim her bangs sometime before the raid. She'd have to make sure to secure a pair of scissors when she got back to the HQ.

Will rubbed his forehead in exasperation just at the thought of it. Brows raising behind his visor as she mentioned her life on the streets. "I'll take your word for it," he told her. Not sure how much detail he really wanted to know.
"Will, its... nice to meet you." Talk about strange first impressions.
He then led her into the small base through a hidden door in the wall of the subway tunnel. As they came in, she would notice that the base was actually fairly similar to HQ, just a lot smaller.

Kofuku, however, seemed either uncaring about the impression she'd just made on the other guy, or she simply was oblivious to it; the later of the two seemed more than likely. The fact that she still had that same, wide and bright smile on her face when he had told her 'nice to meet you' was proof of that.
"It's really great to meet you too! I have to know, how can you see through that visor? Isn't it really dark, especially with no lights down here?" And then the hidden door opened and they walked into an HQ look a like. "Oh wow.... it looks a lot better in here than it does out there."

He didn't often get questions about his visor, mostly just comments. People seemed to just accept the fact that he wore it and left it at that. Thus, he was slightly surprised by the question.
"Actually, my eyes are very light sensitive. I tend to get debilitating migraines if I don't wear it. But I can see fine, even in the dark." Will sighed a bit at the mention of it. Wearing it all the time was certainly inconvenient, but necessary.
He then smirked a little at her comment as they came in. "Its not bad. A bit cramped and living underground can be a bit depressing sometimes, but it works. Definitely an improvement from the old subway, though."

Listening to his answer, she nodded. "Oh yeah, I know someone like that." Her voice trailed off as Panther crept into her thoughts, and without realizing it until it was too late, she started crying. Not sobs like it had been that first time, but quiet tears and a few sniffles as she tried to hide them by rubbing at her eyes and hoping it went unnoticed; and here she had been doing so well....
"It can't be all that bad." She said when she finally managed to find her voice and speak without giving away her tears, though her voice was a little cracked and probably sounded a good deal different from earlier. "I mean, you're in the middle of a city, but make for great days off."

"Really?" he asked, surprised that she would know someone with the same issue. However, Will's back was turned to Kofuku and he didn't seem to notice her tears or sniffling.
He then gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Yeah, I guess. The beaches are nearby, so that's definitely a plus."

"Yeah, but he's an assholish, selfish jerkface." It was much to Kofuku's relief that Will hadn't noticed or seen her crying, and it made it that much easier for her to bounce back from it. Shifting the box onto her hip to free up a hand, she continued to rub her eyes until any evidence of the tears were gone.
A small smile came over her face as beaches were mentioned. "Yeah, beaches are fun. Do you go there a lot on your days off? And how about movies and city stuff?"

"I... see." Will replied slowly. This was getting to be rather awkward.
However, when she changed the subject, he was rather glad for it. "Sometimes. But I have to admit, its not as fun going alone."
He then led Kofuku to the infirmary area of the outpost. She would notice that it was a great deal smaller than the one at HQ.
A male doctor with black hair looked up as they came in. "Ah ha. I believe that's for me." Indicating the box that Kofuku held in her hands.

"Really? I'm sure there's got to be cute girls there to hit on or something. Or at least check out since the clothes we wear these days don't leave much to be guessed at." She grinned ear to ear. "You should join us on the next Beach party though! I'm pretty sure I would have remembered if you were there; not many people with red hair and dark visors. And, if you really want company... I wouldn't mind going with you sometime."
Looking around the infirmary, she noticed right away its smaller size as she set the box down in front of the man. However, instead of handing it right over, she leaned on it, placing her arms on top almost as if guarding it. "ID please! It's my first drop off, and I'm not gonna mess it up!" There wasn't anything valuable in the box, as far as she was aware of, but she rather liked going out on these sorts of errands; it was fun blasting music and singing along, especially since no one could hear her.
