 Things were really starting to look up in Ellial's world. He'd discovered love and a traveling companion all at the same time! No longer did he wander the Kawani lands in a daze. Instead he traveled along side Zaitus, bantering with the winged male whenever his mind chose to return to the realm of reality.
At times, he wondered if this wall a vivid dream. That his relationship with Zaitus was just an illusion created from his own desire. If it was, then he was certain it was an illusion he never wished to end. He could never accept reality ever experiencing such happiness in a dreamland.

Zaitus walked calmly beside his new found boyfriend, his eyes keeping a look out for anything odd, or any potential threat. For it was one thing to look out for himself when he used to travel alone, but now that he had a companion by his side, one whom he loved and accepted, he had to be on guard even more.
Seeing that there was nothing about at the moment, the stallion relaxed and looked towards the shorted one. "You sure look like you are sitting on a mountain of happiness right now."

"Why wouldn't I be?" countered Ellial as he pranced in place like a petite dancer. Perhaps he hadn't eaten enough greens as a colt, but he'd never grown to his full potential. He was shorter than the average stallion, petite, and had a slender form that was borderline feminine. That did not bother him though, he could maneuver more easily though thick woods than other stallions.
He playfully nudged Zaitus, "Aren't you?"
If he'd been paying attention, something he rarely did, he might have noticed the shaking of some near by bushes. Signally the approach of an unknown creature.

The stallion shruged and just amused himself with the sight of his mate prancing around like some kind of hyped up foal. Such a sight wasn't unusual for Zaitus, especially when he knew well enough that Ellial was foal like most of the time. "I don't know. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since you always seem so hyper and happy. Well that, or lost in your dreams."
His ears perked and attention turned to the sounds of leaves rustling. With his body tensed and gaze set in a glare, the male carefully scanned the area around them like a lion on the hunt and look out for something. "...Doesn't seem like we are the only ones hanging around out here.."

Zaitus' warning fell on closed ears as Ellial's cyan glazed over in a familiar manner. The manner that said the blue stallion's mind had been whisked away by a thought, and had gotten lost, yet again, in the land of day dreams. The wind toyed with his mane and tail as Ellial's stood as still as a statue.
A flash of honey brown fur could be seen through a gap in the bushes, follow by a large paw bearing sharp claws. As the creature lumbered about, it's sharp horns could be seen peeking over the tops of the bushes. Only to disappear when it'd stop to sniff at the ground.

The stallions black on pale eyes slowly turned back to Ellial. His brow slowly rising, he sighed and rolled his eyes at what he saw. It wasn't anything new, but he still wasn't any less annoying at times, but what could he say, by now he should be used to it since he was dealing with such things since their foalhood years. "Someday I might as well smash my head against a tree just to see what his world is like..."
With the shake of his head, the wing stallion slowly made his way over towards the bush. He didn't know what he would come across, but it would be better to be safe that sorry, especially since whatever it was seemed to be well armed.
Goats. Yes, well, a goat. A creature you would normally see on some kind of farm land or in a village, but no, not this goat. This creature seemed the think it was tough enough to rock it with the bears and mountain lions in the wild, some of which would consider him a nice dinner, or a light snack of some kind.
It didn't matter though since Vikata had other things on his mind, like why a large "moon" was staring back at him.
With a snicker and a grin, the male goat slowly lowered himself in to a head butting position and scrapped at the dirt under his hooves to signal his charge... 1...2...3...of we’ll see how this ends…

 A great force rammed into the small bear's backside, sending her toppling out into the open with a pain roar. Daze, she laid upon the ground like a fallen soldier. Her little tail flicking to try and appease the pain in her rump.The sound of the bear's pained roar drew Ellial's mind back to reality, though he wasn't quite sure what he was looking at. There was Zaitus standing not to far from an odd looking bear that was releasing small sounds of pain. Sympathy instantly tugged at his heart before he trotted right over to the bear, caution not even entering his mind. "What'd you do Zaitus?"

Zaitus's ears perked and flicked as the creature that appeared from the curtain of greens. It looked like a bear, but...bears weren't supposed to be armed with horns, right? At least that is what he would think from the other bears he had seen roaming around every now and then.
With the c**k of his head, he started to cautiously and curiously head towards the fallen bear, but stopped at the sound of his boyfriend's voice. "Me?" He turned and stared at Ellial. "Why would I go and try to hurt a bear of all thing? I'm not looking for a death wish."
The brown clad goat lightly snickered in the back of his head as he let out a bleating laugh at what he had just done. While he knew the other mammal could very well turn and retaliate against him, all he could do was hope something like that wouldn't happen to him.
His curiosity growing, the goat slipped from the cover of the vegetation and trotted over to look over the female bear. She looked okay, for now anyway. Shaking his head, he lifted a leg to poke at her horns with a hoof.

Ursa sat up, not minding the soreness in her rump as she scanned her attacker, and the two large newcomers. She could retaliate, let her claws taste goat flesh, but she couldn't work up the desire too. Such violence just didn't exist within her.
Like a concerned mother, Ellial nosed at the bear, checking her for serious damage. Paying no mind to the fact that the female could easily rip a chunk out of him. "She doesn't seem to be hurt..."
Ellial turned his attention to the goat. "Are you the culprit?"

Zaitus rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's careless act, not that he himself always thought things through before acting, but to just walk up to a bear and nose it like it was some kind of foal or puppy, no, that would be one thing he wouldn't impulse on unless he knew it was a safe thing to do. And lucky for the two the bear didn't seem as if it was going to rampage against anyone anytime soon.
"Does that even matter? Hurt or not she could still turn and hurt us. I think that is the more important fact here, so why not bring your butt back over here before he bites your nose right off?"
Vikata stared between the two stallions, there words just dancing around his ears since he wasn't giving them his full attention.
Rolling his eyes, he turned towards Ellial and gave a huff, his goat tail twitching with amusement and annoyance.
"Is there anyone else around here who could have knocked the ball of blubber on her butt? Really, I would have expected more from a giant bear, but I guess she is an exception here..."

Ellial's ears turned in Zaitus' direction, but his focus remained on the goat. He stepped away from the bear, but it wasn't to return to Zaitus. Each step took him closer to the goat until he stood just inches.
"That was very rude of you," he lowers his head to be eye to eye with the goat, "apologize."
With lumbering movements, Ursa rose to her feet. Pawing at her nose, she watched the scene before her. Her gaze lingering on her attacker, and the blue stallion that had come to her aid. Such an odd stallion....
She tracked her gaze to the winged stallion, wondering just what part he played here.

He shouldn't be surprised, he really shouldn't. If anything he should know it's best to just shut up and watch, but Zaitus couldn't help it. Each time he watched Elli's antics he just wanted to march over and trample the guy, or scream in his face, and sometimes he did, but other times he kept his anger bottled. Really, it wasn't any different from their foalhood. Elli was still Elli, and Zai was still Zai. Not to mention that stupid little face still pissed him off.
"Ellial, I don't think you should be doing that. Get over here, now."
It was too late though. The little goat already had his plan mapped out seconds after Ellial lowered himself to match his own height. He may have been small, but Vikata was no push over, and he was going to teach the stallion not to mess with him or try to order him around.
Glaring, the goat dug a hoof in to the ground as he glared at Ellial in defiance. A snort escaped his nostrils and his ears flicked back. Silence.
"...... BAAAAAH!"
With the bleat, he charged towards the blue and purple stallion, head lowered and glare piercing.
At least it made for a nice "I told you so" moment for Zaitus.
