VN02 = Append?

I just recently got Project Diva, and among the outfits I unlocked from it was VN02. It's pretty cool, looking all mecha-ey, but I noticed how much it resembled Miku's append outfit. What are your thoughts on it? Were they foreshadowing it? Was the VN02 a first draft of her append outfit? Or is this outfit just from some.. thing.. I am unaware of? D:

Yes, that is a Miku Append Model. I don't know about the green spiky tie outfit, but that's cool too. ^^
Miku has some awesome outfits. xD

The VN02 and Append outfits were designed by different people.

Nagimiso did VN02, Append design is by Misaki Asai (who is more well-known in the Japanese figurine industry as a sculptor). The VN02 outfit was originally designed for a song, though as you can see, it's gone through a couple changes since then.

It's possible that Asai was inspired by Nagimiso. It is a very striking design after all, the figure version even more so because of the colours.

Ohh, I see. That's really neat. I knew it came from the song Moon on there, and I searched youtube for a video with that outfit, but I apparently didn't search hard enough.
Thank you for the info. C: I really appreciate it. It's just when I first saw the VN02 outfit, I was all, "WUUUT?" So... ok. Hehe.
