Hi guys... I am posting this here because, while this may not be a mental disorder, it is definently affecting my head. And...ugh...Is a disorder of some sort.
Okay, so for the past four days, I have been feeling rather dizzy. The first day seemed like an isolated incident, and the next day, it went away. I flew on an airplane, that next day to go to Ohio, as I do every summer. I slept well, and felt rested during these days. Anyways, I cannot move my head without feeling like everything around me is spinning. I'm feeling dizzy right now, and it's starting to make me feel sick. I have no idea what's going on, and I'd like a few answers. There is a lot of miscelaneous information that I may add, but I'm not sure what you'd need. Please, look this over and fel free to ask any questions... Ugh...I think I'm gonna throw up... = _ =

Sounds like it might be an inner ear issue. When your inner ear swells or when small particles are floating around in there, it can throw your balance off. It can make it look and feel like the room is spinning. That illusion of movement can be enough to make you feel sick or even to throw up. Movement tends to make it worse, sometimes to the point where you'll throw up if you move your head at all.
Inner ear issues are usually really annoying and scary but not serious. Yet they can be serious. Without treatment, the infection can spread to the brain. And of course it could be something more serious than an inner ear issue to begin with. Some neurological issues and tumors, for example, have the same symptoms as inner ear issues. So even though it's probably not a big deal, you should visit a doctor as soon as possible just in case.

Low blood pressure can also make you dizzy.

Lorien has pinpointed the most likely cause, and the medical term for what you're experiencing is vertigo. Most of the time they can figure out what caused it (likely an inner ear issue) and either help you get better, or give you exercises to do. One me and my mother were told is this: move your eyes from left, to right, back and forth twenty times, then repeat the movement with your entire head. It helps a little - enough that your day should go by alright if you're careful. Go to a doctor, though.

Oh, thank you everyone, for the advice... I tried to schedule a doctor'sa appointment, and I'm in Ohio now, to visit my grandparents...The problem is-- my Insurane, health, hospital, THING, isn't located here, an I'd have to go to some Urgent Care thing to get help. -Sigh- I tried that exercise, Fran, and it didn't really work. sweatdrop It hasn't gotten anyh worse, but it is still pretty bad. I have no other symptioms at this point. Ugh....does anyone know how long this may last?

I believe inner ear infections usually last from one to three weeks. But since it could be something else, you might still want to visit a doctor when you get home even if the symptoms are gone by then.

I've had a couple of inner ear infections, and they cleared up for the most part in a couple of days.
Maybe it could be a bit of floating cartilage?
