Anyone ever wonder why, in her transformation, Serena gets a manicure, which is then covered by gloves? If it's just for the longer, more sophisticated nails, why do they have to be painted as well?
Not that's it's important. It was just a funny thought I had today while watching it.

============ The art of being wise
heart I've thought about that too. But she only gets that with the first locket. The scouts get the manicures with the Star and Crystal power xD heart
is the art of knowing what to overlook ============

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ To make the transformation sequence longer most likely. That's what I think.

Well if it comes with the powers, why not? Maybe it stays on after wards and they just walk around with fancy nails that they didn't have to pay for?

It is very funny and pointless, yes. I suppose it is for effect--it looks nice, makes the sequence longer as someone else pointed out, things like that.

Did you ever know that the manga never had the transform sequence all they did was call out the transform powers and flash their the Sailors .. All they did for the anime to be long was make those loooong transformations in every episode.

The transformation sequence is pretty, but it gets a little tedious in the anime. Not to mention, shouldn't the bad guy take that minute of the Sailor Scout twirling around to attack or run away? rofl Yes, yes, I know ... dramatic effect and all that....

I had noticed that too. xd
Besides the "making the transformations longer" part I guess they could've done that to make the Senshi to be/look more girly? As if the show wasn't girly enough...
