It had been a week since Yuki had parted company with her mother and taken the pure black cub from her. Sure, her mother had asked but the way Yuki had taken the cub had been rough. She'd said hurtful things to Eun Mi. Things you'd never say to your mother.
But she'd not even been happy to see her. She asked about Mauja instead! How dare she not embrace the daughter she'd given up. One of the daughters that is. Mei was the third.
It hurt so bad. The pain scorched inside her soul. She'd show Eun Mi that neither her or Mei needed her.
Mei was sound asleep in a little make shift den Yuki had dug out for her the night before. The little cub was blissful and happy. Yuki was doing a decent job keeping her warm and fed and happy. Mei was to young to understand that she would never see her mother. Heck, Mei was to young to really understand the concept of who her mother really was. Her mother might as well be Yuki for all she knew.
Mei snoozed while Yuki brooded over the events that unfolded a week before.

Sa'chiel hadn't been into the Rogue lands much, or at all really, except for the few times he'd snuck out of the grounds of the pride when he was a cub and had to be dragged back by the Water Lieutenant who had seemed more afraid of the rogue lands then he had been, even as a cub. He had grown bored with the pride and had sought his mother for permission to leave, just for a little while.
He had wandering paws. He always had. Hyper, playful and always on the move, he loved to walk and had already traveled around most of the pride on his own, through the different tribes and now he was out on his own, completely, in the rogue lands. It should have been scary, but instead he was grinning as he walked, tail flicking eagerly behind him. He wasn't hiding the sound his paws made hitting the ground, instead relishing in the freedom of the new lands.

Yuki bent down to lick her little sisters forehead and start grooming her. Sleeping in the make shift den that only Mei could fit in proved to be dirty business. Crumbs of dirt had fallen all over the cub as she slept and now she was dirty.
Before she could start though, her ear twitched. Someone or ... something was close by. Paw steps, she could hear them. They weren't to far off by the sounds of it. Yuki ducked down low in the thick of the grass and wrapped her body around Mei best she could.
Mei woke and yawned. Her little sleepy vision was slightly blurred by the sleep. She wasn't away of what was going on. She had no idea why her sister or mother was now dipped down to her level. So she swatted at Yuki's ear.
Yuki let Mei swat at her ear. Just so long as she was quiet Yuki didn't care. This could be some sort of dangerous predator... or something else. She was hoping what ever it was that soon it would leave. Real soon. Yuki clenched her eyes tight.

Sa'chiel's nose twitched lightly, as the scent of cheetah floated to his senses. It was close by, but there was another smell, that smelt like the lieutenant, but nothing like him at all. Ugh, what a weird smell. He was curious now though, and changed his course towards where the smells were coming from. Perhaps he would learn something new now he was out here?
His tail continued to flick playfully as he moved, eyes scanning for whatever it was that was giving off the scent.

Yukis ears lowered, what ever it was ... it was coming this way. The females eyes flicked to the small helpless cub she had coiled around and back to the dark shape coming closer and closer. She sniffed the air.
Cheetah..?
The female sat up , revealing her self to the approaching figure. Her face empty of any sign of emotion as she did so. Her tail flicking from side to side as well but out of stress and not playful cheer.
Mei didn't stay put. She mimicked her sister and sat up as well. The tall grass kept her well hidden though. Mei was still very young and very small.

Sa'chiel, though he had scented them, had not expected to find them so easy and when the female sat up, he startled and fell back a step. Not out of fear but out of surprise that he hadn't seen her. The other scent was nearby too, but he couldn't see the source, so he ignored it's presence for a while.
What a pretty female, he couldn't help but think, shooting her a warm, harmless smile. "Hello pretty one~" He called out in greeting, still far enough away that he would not be threatening but close enough to talk without having to shout loudly.

The female didn't flinch at being called pretty. She wasn't honestly sure if she should say thank you or be more on guard. So she just sat there for a while and stared with a blank face while things churned in the back of her mind.
Little did she know she was sitting in the presence of one of her brothers. The fact that he was flirting with her should have been a sure sign that he was one of Maujas but it just didnt click.
Mei watched from below. She smiled at both figures and kept quiet.
Yuki blinked.
"Can.. I help you?" She asked finally.

Sa'chiel was a little disappointed at her lack of reaction to his compliment, and walked a little closer, slowly and cautiously so it did not seem like an attack. He hadn't been in the presence of too many girls to practice his flirting for real, but he had thought he had been pretty good at it, he sulked inwardly.
"I'm just passing through," he explained pleasantly, "but you could help me by giving me the pleasure of your company for a little while." He tried again. He didn't remember this girl from when they were younger, so he never made the connection of being related. She did remind him a little of Njozi, his other sister, though.

Yuki was not used to boys flirting with her. Honestly she wasn't sure what to make of it. Strange. Thats what this was. Strange.
"Uhh." She lifted a brow at him, "Sure?" She wasn't sure how to react to this male. Strange considering she grew up under the care of Mauja. But it was strange. More then it should have been and a little unnerving.
Mei scooted closer to her older sister and smiled up at the new found cheetah. She made a coo sound.
Yuki managed to ignore her baby sister with a straight face. Points for keeping cool under a confusing circumstance.

Sa'chiel grew more frustrated as she refused to react his advances. Not that he was particularly interested in getting a girl but she should be reacting! He was good at flirting...or he supposed he was, he hadn't really tried it for real before. This wasn't working out properly.
When she consented his company, he went to move closer but stopped short at the sight of the young cub. Oh! That's what the smell was. This cub must be lion cheetah. He peered at it curiously. A girl? Maybe. "Hello cutie," he greeted the young child, with a smile, momentarily ignoring the elder female. Sa'chiel, though he would deny it, liked cubs. They were so cute.

Mei took the attention well. She purred and padded up toward the male cheetah. With out warning she playfully swatted toward him and giggled. Mei couldn't yet talk yet but she could play darn it!
Yuki lifted a brow a small smirk curving around her maw. Mauja. This cheetah was like a younger Mauja.
"You remind me of my dad," She smiled.

Sa'chiel, when the young cub swatted at him, playfully fell to the ground. Her paw had barely touched him, but he flopped over like she had done something amazing. Laying on his belly, he peered up at her. "You're a strong little thing," he teased lightly, reaching out to poke at her side.
He had almost forgotten about Yuki when she spoke and looked towards her, suddenly embarrassed at his childish attitude. "Your dad? Is that a compliment or an insult?" He asked, with a childish grin shot her way, as he refocussed his attention on the elder cheetah.

Mei burst into a fit of giggles and playfully growled at him. She was about to jump him when he suddenly looked away. This caused Mei to also get distracted and look toward her mother/sister figure. A happy go lucky smile rested on her maw awkwardly.
"Im not sure. Hes kind of a big child I suppose," She tilted her head and really looked at him. It was kind of creepy. They even looked alike aside from a few things.
"You really.. kinda look like him too.." She squinted.

Glancing back at the cub, who seemed happily distracted now, Sa'chiel hid a grin. Such a cutie, and definitely female, he decided, reaching out to poke her again when she wasn't paying attention, before glancing at Yuki with a tilted head.
"Are you calling me a child?" He asked, feigning seriousness, even though he was on the ground, playing with a small cub for enjoyment. He shrugged his shoulders and glanced at his coat. "I look like him? That's odd. I was told that I look like my mother, except with Father's markings." He had never seen his father, so he couldn't say for sure but he had heard it said before.

The female chewed her lip. This couldn't be... Nah! No way could this be Eun Mi's son. He did have her blue color and he did have Mauja's markings but no way was this cheetah hers.
Yuki knew she had brothers though that had went with Eun Mi to a pride. . . She had to ask. Just to make sure.
"Where are you from? " She tilted her head.
Mei feel over at being poked. She had a perplexed look on her face a little confused about what to do. So she rolled onto her back and playfully pawed upward at the other cheetah.
