~Loaded Dice~ "You called me here for a reason, so spit it out." "I want you to kill a certain someone in exchange for you're complete freedom." "And what happens if the mission fails?" "You'll be dead if that happens."So that's how the whole thing started. All she had to do was kill the person and she would get her freedom.. simple right? Her so called boss had her under complete control or at least that's what it seemed to be. Being pulled into the mafia wasn't the best thing that had happened to her and there was no way she could get out of it.. unless she pulled the trigger.
She knew nothing about the man that she needed to kill.. and that was the whole point. The woman needed to be ruthless to kill him.. besides it wasn't the first time that the man had hired killers come after him. She would work for the man, that way she could figure out his schedule and so on.. up until she found the perfect moment to put a bullet through his heart.

N a t a l i e F r o s t Natalie swore under her breath as she walked down the long steel hallway, her heels clicking against it and the noise echoed through out the area. Being assigned to take someone's life just so that she could have her freedom back, wasn't her ideal plan. It wasn't like she had a problem with it, after all she was a criminal but she never liked being told what to do. Her curly hair swayed from side to side as she continued to walk to her quarters so that she could get her things. Of course the boss had sent two so called bodyguards to escort her to her room before she would be taken to her target. One of the bodyguards opened the door for her and she glared at him before going in. The two men were wearing nice suits that were most likely custom made while she a pair of black dress pants and a white button up shirt. Her slim figure looked quite good in it, but none of them dared to look at her for to long, knowing fully well that she wouldn't be happy when she caught them staring. Natalie picked up the suitcase that was lying on the desk, someone else had already packed up the things she would need on her mission. Picking it up with ease, she was glad that all her training had paid for at least something. "Where to now?" she asked as she placed one of her hands on her hip, waiting for them to take the lead. A few minutes later she was sitting in the back of a black lexus, where all of the windows were tinted. She had barely gotten anytime to do anything before she left but at least she had some basic information on her new target. Natalie glanced through the papers once more, sighing. Perhaps she would be able to just run off once she got there.. it wasn't like the thugs would follow her everywhere. The earpiece clicked and she hissed, knowing that the boss was probably keeping an eye on her, after all they had gone through all the trouble to put a chip into her. "Darling, you know running away is no use.. so I suggest you think think through this plan carefully before taking any action. You'll be introduced to him by a good friend of mine.. let him do the talking for now. I don't want you to screw up on the first day." she heard another click before she could put in her two-cents on the whole situation. Crossing her arms, she looked out the window as the car started to move, the doors locked so she couldn't even try to get out now. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight Meeting after endless meeting, there didn't seem to be an end to this cycle. And what was the point? He failed to see it, if there was one that is. Jaden sighed to himself as he loosened the simple black tie around his neck. "Sir, we have an appointment in ten minutes, the car is ready for you" His eyes flashed up to the closest thing to a friend he had. Ian was special to him in ways his own family wasn't, as if he had much of a family to being with.
Getting into the middle of three cars, he opened the folder containing information of the next appointment. Oil? Didn't they have foundation in that part of the country already? The knight family began as nothing over 80 years ago, but slowly became a major corporation that had billions to it's name. Being the first son, he was the heir to all that it currently had, and it was his job to keep it that way and somehow expand this empire.
No point thinking about it now. Tilting his head back, the lids of his eyes closed. 'How boring' There was so much to do, and so much pressure that it was hard to keep up with everything, eventually someone was going to be let down. A gentleman in the car sitting across from him took this moment to read to him the schedule of next week. The only word that caught his attention was marriage. 'It would be beneficial to marry someone who's company we don't have a hold over. But arranged is still to weird in this day of age. I can't think about my own happiness with millions of people in my car...'
His dark blue eyes now looked out the window, at the passing scenery. It was so out of it, it was quite a shock when the car stopped moving. "Cancel everything after this, I need to rest and have some time to contemplate all the proposals that has happened in the past few days." With a slight nod of his assistant, he made his way into another grand room, with another grand table, with a bunch of old people sitting around it. "Time to listen to the old people once again." Taking his place at the table, the meeting commenced.

N a t a l i e F r o s t The car stopped for a second and another man got in. By the looks of it, she guessed that this was the friend her boss had been talking about it. Wonderful.. she thought sarcastically as she looked out the window once more, thinking about how she had gotten into this mess in the first place so it wouldn't happen again. A voice pulled her from her thoughts and she glanced at the man. "Hello, you must be Ms. Natalie." the man said as he looked over at her, smiling a bit. She narrowed her eyes. "What do I need to do?" she simply asked, wanting to get straight to business instead of having small talk with the man that would probably devour her in a second if he had the chance. He sighed, he seemed slightly disappointed in that fact that she was so straight forward. "You are to be introduced to Mr. Jaden Knight at an important meeting. You're mission is to try and get his attention, after all he had never enjoyed previous meetings, so it will most likely be the same this time. If you succeed, invite him to a dinner party, or even better I'll ask him to be there." he handed her two invitations just in case and she took them without a second thought. "You'll be given something.. more attractive to wear once we get there." he said before looking away from her. Natalie sighed, she hadn't signed up to seduce anyone but it seemed like that's the way things were going to go. The earpiece clicked once again and she tried to keep her temper in check, after all she had a whole different role to play now. Her boss had given her the information earlier. "Even if you can't kill him.. we'll get him to marry you and after that there will be a divorce or perhaps a sudden death.. you'll be a widow then." she shivered slightly at the sound of his voice. So he really did plan on taking complete advantage of her. He didn't want for her response, just like last time. Shaking her head, she rubbed her temples. It was obvious that they didn't have everything completely planned out yet, but plan A was for her to kill him, or at least that's the information that they had given her. Fifteen minutes passed by and she was fixing the black dress that she had been given. It ended just above her knees, the bottom half reminded her of a pencil skirt. The dress was strapless and it took her a second to adjust to it. She couldn't remember the last time she had worn a dress considering the job she had, it wasn't surprising. Being a criminal did that to you. She gracefully walked into the meeting and brushed a strand of her curly hair away from her face as she smiled softly at everyone in the room, her eyes catching Jaden's before she pretended to shyly look away. Taking a seat across from him, she set the folder she had been given in front of her as the man from earlier introduced her as Ms. Winter telling everyone that she was new to the industry and would be staying here for a while as his personal assistant. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight The meeting began as usual, a status of everything that's happened this far. And then proposal of what they wanted to happen next. It usually included a large donation from the Knight corporation. Which when he did the calculations by himself, the sum they ask for are about double then what they realistically need. This was starting to become a waste of time, and he was a man that couldn't afford to waste time with meaningless things such as this.
The door opened and a man introduced a Ms. Winter, why was she there, and coming in so late. 'New or not, that's just rude' He was looking directly at her when she looked at him, then away. Why did she do that? Interesting. His eyes flashed to the man who came in with her, this is the first he heard of personal assistant coming into a meeting. He didn't even allow Ian to come to his meetings, they all waited outside. Interesting, very interesting.
The more he looked, the more Jaden couldn't see assistant in her. Even more so in that outfit, it wasn't even close to looking like a suit. But why did he care, it was no concern to him. Looking back down at his papers. "Well this offer would certain enhance your performance, and give the economy here a certain boost. I cannot say that I entirely agree with the way you plan to carry it out. As heir and soon to be head of Knight Corporation, I suggest you come up with a different plan of action, or you will not receive any support from us." Jaden's velvet voice said calmly, making him sound a lot older than he actually was. Pushing his chair back slightly as he stood up, he grabbed the papers in front of him, to take them back to file.
He started to head to the front door, "Thanks for inviting us today, let's get together again sometime in the future to hopefully do more business" Some would say what he did wasn't needed, it was a good opportunity and would enhance his own fortune. However the loss of this deal would have no effect on him, they were the ones at a loss without his support, and they knew it. Walking back out of the lobby, he met up with Ian, who already had his car waiting for him.

N a t a l i e F r o s t She knew things wouldn't go that well if she went along with their plan. Popping her neck after he had left, she looked up at her so called leader and raised one of her eyebrows as if to say, 'Well, you fail at this don't you?' She laughed lightly before she got up. The dress wasn't exactly her thing and she soon left without permission of any kind. "Where do you think you're going?" her boss asked through the earpiece as she chuckled. "Off to find a better way. Don't worry, the mission will be accomplished." she simply said before she entered the bathroom. It took her forty-five seconds to change into something more suitable. Her boss had gotten the gist of things, knowing how her mind worked and personally, he approved of it. Wearing a pair of heels still, though now she was in a pair of nice jeans and a black leather coat, she was off to stop an ambush. There little gang wasn't the only one after the pot of gold and she would be just in time to stop them. The boss had set them up for it in a matter of seconds. As Jaden got out of the building, someone else came up to him and put a gun to his head, ordering everyone to get down. Natalie crept up behind him. "I think you're aiming the gun at the wrong person." she whispered to him. He turned around startled as she smirked, it got them every time. Doing a high kick, she kicked the gun out of the man's hands and then jumped, pushing the gun to the ground and grabbing the gun out of the air at the same time before turning it and aiming it at him. "Get out of here." she hissed at Jaden and his assistant who's name had slipped her mind at the moment. They were going back to the original plan.. she would work for him, except it wouldn't be through business, she would simply protect him while her boss needed him alive. Leaning down she grabbed the front of the guy's shirt and pulled him up. "Who sent you?" she said in a cold tone, her eyes narrowed. It was all for show, since she knew it would take a second for Jaden to get out of here... hopefully he wouldn't bother to call the police, after all that was the last thing she needed. The man swore at her but didn't bother to try and break free since she had the gun to his forehead, she could pull the trigger at any second. "Ms. Winter!" oh great, it was that stupid excuse for a gentlemen from the car. If only that guy could disappear into thin air. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight Jaden was just about to get into the car when something cold touched the back of his head. A threat, who was threatening him? Why wasn't his security doing their job better. But if this assassin got this far, he must be skilled and looking for blood. His mind raced with calculations and odds of him getting out, and the number's weren't in his favor with the situation as it was. But as soon as the gun was there, it was gone.
He spun around to see the girl, what was her name, winter something or other, not in the dress. That was fast, as if she knew or something. Who does she think she is though, ordering him around. And how could he leave like that? It would damage his pride and status if people knew a girl came to the rescue, even though it was uninvited. Sliding into his car, he looked up at Ian. "Take her in the car behind" He was going to tell her to keep that quiet. No need damaging his reputation, and no need for him to destroy her financially.
As cold as he was, he was no indebted to this women, whom he just met. Jaden wouldn't never refer to her as a Lady, she clearly didn't act like one. He needed to know more about her, and was fully ready to do a background check.
Ian stayed behind like he was told do, as the car with his young master in it drove off. It seemed the mistress had everything under control. "Ms. Winter, if you would please leave the rest of this matter to the police who have already been contacted. If you wouldn't mind, please get into the car." He bowed slightly, even though the situation was kinda tense at the moment, but he knew his place. He opened the car door and awaited for her reply, as police from the building they were just in started to come out.

N a t a l i e F r o s t She glanced over at Jaden's loyal pal, Ian and she would've laughed if she didn't have a gun in her hand. "You got lucky this time, mutt." she said as she shoved him to the ground and kissed the barrel of the gun. "Mine now." she whispered as she put part of her gun into her jeans and then covered it up by her jacket. "Hey!" the guy yelled after her as she walked away. "Why thank you." she said sarcastically to Ian before she got into the car, cracking her knuckles. "I am capable of opening a door by myself you know." she said as she looked over at him. She knew that Jaden wouldn't be happy about the fact that he had been saved by a woman. It would hurt his fragile ego, not that she cared but at least it got her one step closer to him. Natalie was an independent woman and no one was going to be able to change that any time soon. "You seriously need tighter security." she added as she leaned back in her seat, messing with him now. "So why did Mr. Knight invite me here?" always getting to the point. Looking around the car, she made a mental note of everything, any information could help her out. Natalie was slightly disappointed in the fact that she wasn't even given a simple thank you for saving that boy's.. well there was no need for her to finish that sentence. He could do a background check on her, but he wouldn't find anything except that she had apparently gone to college, her first name was now Victoria, and that she had no criminal history. Her boss always knew how to deal with the paperwork and Natalie never really bothered with it unless she needed to. Looking back at Ian once again, she thought about booking it, since Jaden would obviously ask her to not release any information to the media.. it would ruin his reputation for eternity if that happened and she didn't want to deal with his petty threats anyway. Yes, she did want her freedom, and that's the only thing that kept her sitting there. Jaden wouldn't mess with the mafia, they already wanted him dead as it was. When Ian wasn't looking she took her earpiece out and placed it safely in her shirt. She would destroy it later, her boss could contact her a different way. Her fingers tapped against the glass of the window, making sure that she knew where they were going. Natalie didn't plan on getting dragged into the forest and buried alive anytime soon. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight Jaden arrived at his house, knowing that Ian couldn't be that too far behind, but still, he wanted to get out of his clothes into something more relaxed. He went up the stairs of his manor and into his room. Chestnut engraved doors swung flawlessly revealing his closet. Taking off his suit, and standing in boxers he looked around. Finding a nice dress shirt, matches his eyes, deep blue. Topping it off with simple black pants, and belt. Brushing his brown locks to the side, now it was the waiting came. His shiny black shoes reflected off the floor as he sat in the foyer, waiting for her to arrive. This was a delicate situation, and if she had any class in her, she would understand.
Ian watched how Ms. Winter acted, interesting. "I don't know exactly why he requested your presence. I wouldn't be surprised if the young master wished to thank you for your services with payment fitting the deed" Simple reply, most likely the truth, for the most part. He sat in silence from then on out, until they appeared at Knight Manor. Door men had the car doors opened, as well as the one to the house right when the car came to a complete stop. Such was the life of luxury. Ian stepped out of the car, and without saying a word began to lead the way to where the master usually is.
It wasn't long before he heard shuffling of feet, they were already there. Ian walked into the room, in which Jaden acknowledge his presence with a simple nod. Standing up, he awaited her presence, maybe she did another superman change before coming there. Resting his hands in his pockets, everything about his posture screamed rich, noble, smart, and sophisticated, a man worthy of being an heir. "I'm glad you accepted my invitation Ms. Winter, please, have a seat. If you need anything, drink a snack even, don't hesitate to ask." The maids were extremely attentive, and were awaiting when needed.

N a t a l i e F r o s t From what it seemed like, Ian wasn't much of a talker, not that she cared but it would've been nice to get a bit more information on Jaden. Brushing her hair away from her face, she stayed completely alert, aware that Ian was keeping an eye on her. It wasn't too long before the car stopped in front of the amazing mansion that Jaden called his home. Natalie made sure not too long at it for too long, acting like it was just another house in the slums. Once the doors opened, she stepped out smoothly and straightened her spine, good posture. Glancing over at Ian once more, she started to walk after him, her heels lightly clicking against the cement. She made note of everything though she kept her eyes on the back of Ian's head. Seeing her target, she gave him a charming smile as she brushed her hair away from her face. "I'm fine, thank you." she said, her voice rather sweet with a drop of sarcasm, though she would've much rather just sat down without a word and placed her feet on the table. Natalie sat down and resisted the urge to put her legs up. The young man had already changed into something more casual and she couldn't blame him. After all, she didn't like walking around in dresses all day. "Feeling better?" she asked as she placed her arms on either side of the arm chair. Her voice wasn't exactly as sweet as it had been before and her sarcasm had vanished as well. Her honey colored eyes stayed on him, waiting for him to explain why she was here, she had already heard Ian's theory now she just needed to know the real reason. He seemed to know how much power he had and he wasn't afraid to use it.. but it would be no help with her, not unless he could set her free. Who was she kidding? He was nothing put up against the mafia. Natalie guessed that he could possibly invite her for dinner or kick her out depending on how this little conversation went. She was slightly surprised that the guards didn't do a weapon check on her, but she was completely fine without considering the fact that the gun wasn't the only thing that she had with her. Looking away from him for a few seconds, she glanced at the rest of the people in the room. The maids seemed to be a little on edge but they were probably like that all the time. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight 'At least she isn't talking back" That was a good quality he liked in most people, not talking to him. He liked his silence all too much. Merely acknowledging he was feeling better with a simple nod he took his own seat in the leather chair across from hers. "Ms. Winter, is it? Well your actions today are indeed one of thanks; in which there is a token of my thanks awaiting you at the door. Now, naturally we are going to keep this under wraps, I have many business's that would withdraw if they knew they caretaker was being targeted, and that would collapse the economy as we know it." Reaching over to a tall skinny glass, Jaden held it within his hand. Sure it was only water, but water was healthy. Pressing the rim of the cup against his lips he allowed a small portion to flow in his mouth and down his throat.
Setting it back on the side table, his attention was then drawn again to the girl in front of him. Who in his mind wasn't a Lady, not a woman, nothing of importance. Just a mere girl. "Now do you have any other business that you would like to discuss with me? Or can we call this good for today and go along our merry way. Sure if there was something she needed to say, the least he can do is hear her out, hear her being the key word. It wasn't going to do anything stupid just cause she said so.
Already his mind was planning ahead, things he wanted to do with his now day off he ordered earlier. Ian came over to him, handing him a notice of someone who called his office just now. Another businessman. 'Is there just no end to it all? He wouldn't have asked for this kind of life, not in a million years, and yet he see's others yearn for it. How foolish they are. He wouldn't wish it upon his worse enemy, and there was a lot of those. Before she said anything, he got two words in to Ian "Make sure the car is prepared to take Ms. Winter where ever she wishes to go, for her own use. Jaden now awaited the reply she most likely had cooked up for him. But his gentleman ways and manners will not be affected in any situation. He knew how to uphold himself, and knew exactly which moves to make.

N a t a l i e F r o s t He was so full of himself that it drove her insane. Maybe if she actually liked him, she would reconsider, but he looked down at her, like she was nothing at all. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but she kept her mouth shut as he spoke. "Who said I want the economy to run smoothly?" she asked as she raised one of her eyebrows and got up. "Of course you must be such a busy boy that you don't have time to notice someone as petty as me." she walked up to him, her hands in the pockets of her leather coat. Perhaps it would've been better if she had gone along with his little plan. "So I guess all you're life costs is a car with a personal driver, correct?" she picked up the glass he had taken a drink from earlier and looked into it before setting it down. There was sarcasm in her voice now, all along her little speech. He had no idea what she could do with him and his life was practically in her hands. "I personally don't care that much for money.. it's only paper." so obviously that wasn't what she wanted. "Well then, I guess I'll see you later, since you seem to have a meeting in a few minutes." she said in an emotional tone as she started to walk away. "Chow." she said as she gave a small, short wave over her shoulder though she didn't bother to look back at him now. He could think that her threats were empty and that she wouldn't do anything, but he would be greatly mistaken. Her thoughts wandered, tonight would be a pretty good time to kill him, after he was done with his meeting. They could easily blame it on the guy's gang from earlier and she would be free. Taking in a deep breath, she then sighed as she walked down the long hallway, making her way towards the door. There was nothing here that would make her happy, except for the boy's corpse of course but that would have to wait an hour or two. The supplies that she needed wouldn't be that hard to get considering how many connections she had. Natalie just had to find the perfect spot and then she would be golden. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight "Wow.." He was dumbfounded, no one has ever acted like that towards him. Intriguing, and very annoying. Jaden laughed to himself quietly before standing. He walked alone within the giant walls of his manor. So empty. Entering his office, he made the call he had to make. Very boring, they wanted his presence at the party tonight, the only thing he couldn't get out of. So relax until then.
Rubbing the temples of his head, he slumped back in his chair. Too many things for one day. At the pace he was going, his health was going to be jeopardy. He wasn't superman, and he knew this. Ian walked in, and informed that his bath was ready. just thing he needed, actually. Jaden followed Ian to his bathroom, and parted at the door. Stripping down, he had his clothes in neat piles by the door, the maids would come in as he went into the room with the actual bathtub.
Closing the door behind him, he heard the heals of the maids getting his clothes, and no doubt putting down the ones he would have to wear later. He was the master of the house, however; people tell him his bath is ready and pick out his clothes, as if he was a child and couldn't do it by himself. He wasn't complaining, but found it irritating they were trying to act like his parents, when they were both dead.
Stepping into the tub, he slowly sank into the hot water. "Ahhh..." This is was he needed, the gift from the gods. Jaden was so simple to please, most of the time. Now he was in there, the only thing, to his surprise, that was on his mind was that girl. Ms. Winter whatever. Shaking his head slightly to himself, it was silly to think of her, not like he was going to see her again, he didn't want to for that fact. Just the gall of someone acting that way was very surprising.
