How does one go about doing this exactly? Tektek? I am still losted a bit.
Well, first start by going to
Tektek and entering the "Dream Avatar" creator.
-You'll want click on the drop down menu where it says "normal avatars" and select "special avatars". Doing this will bring up all the special avatar skins from drinking potions/events and ect.... however, you'll at this point want to select your gender, as the skin available to you will directly be influenced by what you pick. Then for the sake of this contest, select the skin that says "Overseer".
-At this point, you want to click on each of the tabs on top and select the mouth and hair that you want to use (don't select any of the eyes though. They look really, really weird on the BOO skin and normally the BOO skin would overlap over them anyways).
-Next comes the main event and perhaps the most important part of this process... by putting on the items! First click on the items tag and marvel at the User Interface for a moment.
... it's very pretty and simple isn't it?...
When you're done with that, there's 6 things (that I will conveniently bold), you ought to take notice of before you start piling on the items. You should see two drop down menus, one labeled
Item Type and one labeled
Colors. These control the kinds of items that you'll see in the box display with all the said items and more by using
the left and right arrows to scroll through the selection.
Using these, you probably could manage to make a very nice avatar, but with these elements alone, the creation process would take a while... which is why there are
Boxes! Yes,
Boxes!... on the left side of the item display as well as a search function to help you find what you're looking for much faster!
Now, it's time to give your avatar something to wear... and to do this is as easy as clicking on the item you want to use! Once you do however, I want you to take a look at the farthest righthand box, the one that says
"Equipped". This is fairly simple and self explanatory, but take a moment to look at the three boxes next to each item that you equip. The one that looks like an X is the delete button (and removes it from the list. Also clicking on the item a second time in the item display does the same thing), the grey spiky thing toggles if a particular item will be visible, and the ? mark opens a new tab telling you the market value and other interesting tidbits about the item in question.
And finally... once you think you found a look you like, click
the save button on the left side and it should take you to a screen showing your avi, how much it's worth, and what items you used to make the avi. What you want to do however is find where it says "Price List Code With Avatar" and copy the jumble of letters and text thats there, and then post it in this thread like so:
