With the leaves rattling and the stream babbling the early summer morning was perfect and calm for Felan. There were birds about, making the only sounds produced by other animals, but he still considered things as quiet as could be. Felan was a little bit of a recluse in his woodsy range around the rivers, and hadn't come across many creatures, let alone other Cerynei or horses. This was perfectly fine by him with his shy and timid nature, as he wasn't terribly bold with newcomers who would likely expect at least a little conversation from him. It wasn't that he didn't want any company; he just didn't know how to handle them at first, and he always felt a little downcast when he thought about what it would be like to roam around with a small band of close friends he was comfortable with.

He was settled over by the stream, grazing here and there on the tender grass by the waters edge and glancing around as the birds would flit by. His harnesses would flutter now and again, but he had long since gotten used to the gentile tapping on his flanks, and the reflections off the water made the colors in his pelt dance and flicker in bright patches. Later today he would likely head towards the meadow for an open run to stretch his legs and exercise, but for now he was in complete bliss in his forest home.
