Odessa never really liked her family, which was probably because they couldn't stand her. They treated her like a slave girl, not a family member. She would get harsh beatings from them and still has scars on her back, legs, arms, and even the stomach. When she was 15, her mother threatened to kill her when Odessa was getting the house ready for a dinner party. She didn't know why exactly she had said that, since Odessa was obedient and did everything correctly to please her family. She packed up whatever little belongings she had and ran away from the prison she called home. Odessa, being originally Greek and already living in Europe, fled to Spain and lived there for a while. She had already known Spanish earlier in her life, so she managed well. Being faced with danger since she was a teenaged girl on her own, she learned to fight and protect herself. One day, when she was under threat of being taken to jail after stealing food from a market, she stowed away on a ship to America which was carrying cargo, which is how she ended up here in the U.S. She is still wandering around, looking for someone to take her in. She wants a master who won't treat her poorly, like her own family did. Although she is primarily good for around-the-house jobs and pleasure, she will gladly fight for a master who is kind to her.

Fausto was born into a small, rich family. There was a reason for the family being small and rich, though--they sold their children into slavery. Fausto was always a troubled child. No one really understood him. The siblings that did were shortly sold into slavery. He was always rebellious and pretty violent. One day, he went into town to escape his family for a while. There, he met a man who would teach him to fight if Fausto would pay him. Being a gullible kid, Fausto did so and brought a small bag of money every time he wanted to know how to fight. With years of training, Fausto learned how to fight properly. However, Fausto's training didn't last as long as it could have when his parents sold him into slavery when he was 17. With every new master, he would practice fighting, especially when he would fight for money. Since he was never exposed to real kindness, Fausto grew to be very dangerous and rebellious against masters. However, if a master every shows him kindness and even love, he might start to soften up a little and show his inner romantic, which has been locked up in the darkest depths of his heart.
