Has any body read or seen"The Looking Glass Wars" trilogy by Frank Beddor? I read the first and second books: 'The Looking Glass wars' and ' The Looking Glass wars: Seeing Redd. Its a pretty good fan-fiction for Aiw,but this is just my opinion.

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't.
I've read the first and second and I'm in the middle of the third and I love the series. And it's not really a fan-fiction considering fan-fics don't have legal right to characters and they don't retell the entire story, they just take off from the original story left off and the fan-fic writer lead off from their own imaginations. No, Beddor's is a total and COMPLETE reimagining, and frankly, a great way to do it. ^.^ I think part of it also is what inspired the way the queens were portrayed in Burton's new Alice, because in the original Looking-Glass, the Red and White Queens weren't really related or anything, they both just helped Alice become Queen. However, in Beddor's, Redd was Genenieve's sister, and in Burton's the Red and White Queens were sisters. Now I don't know this for sure, it's just a guess, but Beddor is also a Hollywood producer, he's famous for "There's Something About Mary," so the way he wrote Looking Glass Wars, the trilogy has many very theatrical elements and kinda of plays out like a movie in your mind when reading it, so I wouldn't doubt if Burton at least look into it SOME when working on his own version of Alice.
And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

~Advice from a Caterpillar~ I still haven't read these... they're on my 'books to buy' list though. I must admit I did put off reading them for a while... I'm still not sure if I'll like the portrayal of Carroll in the books. I believe that man to be a genius and misunderstood... and from what I've heard of The Looking Glass Wars... I'm slightly worried about how he is portrayed.

He's not necessarily portrayed as a genius, and I don't particularly like the way he's made out to be in the series either, but he's only ever in the first of the three, and it's not ALL that bad, and the way Beddor did it allows his Carroll's character to fit within the real-world parallel created in Looking Glass Wars and keep the time line flowing.
