I know many of you have your patrons/matron gods and goddesses. How do you present your offerings? What sort of offerings to you give to honor and respect your deities?

Sadly I haven't gotten that far into my worshiping of Flora yet,but I'm most likely going to start having fresh flowers around the house. Once i get a full garden going.

How do you present your offerings? I have a plate or a bowl that I put them on, I either do it during ritual or do it when I feel that it is needed. It is regularly, more like a weekly thing.
What sort of offerings to you give to honor and respect your deities? It depends on the type of deity you are giving your offering too. Recently, I have started honoring Lugh. I have noticed the lack of "male" aspects in my practice. So I have Morrigan and then I have Lugh. I am getting into the Habit of honoring and respecting all the "main" celtic deities of the Tuatha Dé Danann . Edit: I didn't exactly answer this all the way. For offerings, I give bread, honey, flowers, wine. But It all depends on what deity likes what. Oh, for Morrigan I give blood.

To present - I put my offerings on a silver tray and generally I use the standard water (although beer is acceptable), bread and incense. Along with spoken honors and thoughts. On a personal level, blood can be good for certain things. I do offerings during rituals and certain celebrations throughout the year.

Do you use a specific brand?

You don't need to wait that long. You can also use the wild flowers that you find. Garden is great way to honor her. But you don't need to wait that long. biggrin

I'm trying to figure out if its a good idea to do so, or is it just left over from our Wicca "phase". I didn't realize how programed I am still from practicing Wicca. -shivers- But I think you are right . If you are offering it to the Gods, it is the Gods only. Taking it into yourself would be more like your saying yourself is a God. :-/ Am I right on that thought?

That is how I feel about it. Yes, I agree our Wiccan phase just made for some terrible practices. I can't say I'm right, but it's just how I feel.

I am thoroughly embarrassed ever practicing Wicca. I do agree with you on the not taking the offering into yourself ( food wise). What you said gives me a different perspective.

It's not handpicked yourself but it would be something you could do immediately. At our giant you can buy herb plants.
