After the fight of the amazons and the realization that her mate.. was gone. Gin fled.
'I have fled my family..my pride when I attacked my own blood..'
She closed her eyes..
'I have fled.. when I found out..I had fallen in love..'
She had been roughed up from the fight for the amazon pride.. but once everything was said and done. There was nothing left to fight for. Her mate.. had disappeared.. announced death by sugar coding what happened. Enraged.. Gin swiped at any male whom came in close range of her.. and ended up her HATE of men.. ALL men. In her previous family pride. Males were simply baby makers while the females were kept above all else. Not caring of males not even their fathers but there was the difference. Gin felt betrayed when her father left without a word.. and how her sister was favored.. so. She went after her.. and took hefty blows out of her.. In return. She found out.. her sister was blind and could not see... in her pride. Karma was ten fold..To hide away from the shame she would bring her family. She fled.
When Haba helped and aided her.. she was at the amazon pride.. But was engulfed with having to survive on her own. Fighting.. when there nothing left to fight for..
A few brawls here and there.. fighting fiercely to bring the males to a halt and leave.. Had left her scarred up.. and hurt. Emotionly. Physically.. and mentally. There.. was nothing left..
After her good-bye to the all female clan.. she was left wondering. A few hyenas picking fights with her and having to defend herself a few other times with wilddogs was enough.. to let her body rest in peace. Well.. semi in peace. Her pads were dried out and peeling.. her fur scarred, bloody, and in a mess. The worst of the worst to be seen.. but a warrior she was.. and would die being far less than that.
But a certain pack of hyenas.. would not leave her alone. It felt as if they were watching for her to fall over. Or give a weak spot.. they had followed her ever since they first attack her while trying to snag a kill from her. But since that kill.. it had been days.. probably close to a week that she had not fed because of the sheer will power to fight off these hyenas if she did snag a bite.. But left her weak.. close to breaking point. With hallucinations of her mate.. and prior visions of attacks..
Each step was hard.. and the last.. was the one where she could no longer see... the blurred vision became an impairment and left her unbalanced enough to fall. Thats when they got a full run.. and attacked.. With the first snap of one's jaw.. she kicked.. but weakly.. surrounding in mere seconds. By three or four of them but she couldn't tell the difference.. An attempt at a paw swiping.. Her claws shrieking out to attack as she tried to get up to her paws enough to get another swipe in before falling again..
It was.. the end.

The first roar sent the pack scattering away from their prey. A large muscled blur bounded toward them as another thunderous roar ripped through the air.
The lion barreled in front of the lioness, bristled and baring his long yellowed teeth. His brown body was tensed combat. His green mane blowing around his face. For a moment the pack was stunned into doing nothing. Unsure of where the intruder to their meal came from.
A starving wounded female was one thing but a healthy adult male was another. The group hung back eying him before the leader of the females let out a bark and they all rushed him.
He met them with a fierce snarl. Fangs, fur, and claws flew in a wild mob as they charged him to the ground. It lasted for only a few minutes but it seemed like hours before the creatures, with scathed eyes called a retreat and abandoned the body guard.
Nyack got back to his feet and charged after them to make sure they went on their way. He snorted and shook himself as he made his way back to the female. He was bitten and chunks were torn out of him but he nothing fatal.
Breathing a sigh he limped back to the female and nudged her. His voice was soft and kind despite the display he'd just given. "Are you alright?" She certainly didn't look it. Not with her ribs showing and the wounds on her.
He frowned and glanced back. They wouldn't be gone very long and he wasn't risking it. He took the scruff of her neck into his mouth and carried her to a thicket he'd been staying in. He put her down near a pool of water and splashed it at her face, trying to get her to awaken.

With the swipes... she had blacked out.. as her head fell with the sound of death following after her. In her own mind. Pain had slowly eased away and she fell in to a sort of twilight zone. Having not noticed the male or his heroic efforts to save her.
In her mind.. she felt a void. Blankness....it went dark as soon as her head hit the ground.
'Am..I dead?'
Her heart... she couldn't feel it but she knew she felt a sign of relief. As if everything... had come to this .. no more pain. No more heartbreak. Everything was fine now. She was dead.. and she wouldn't ever have to feel the emptiness again. Was she happy? Haba... haba.. she was dead? Can she be reunited with her mate finally? It was a long shot.. but she felt neither excitement over it nor sadness.. She was blank..
But relieved.
Until her death was interrupted by trickles of water.. And slowly.. it was bringing her back and her body from the tip of her claws... to the top of her head started to surge the immense pain she had been oblivious to. Her tightened and sore muscles.. the wounds that would end up bad scars if not taken care of. The rubs tight to her skin as though it was just that. Her skin. The splashes of water started to be felt.. everything started to throb. Instinctively her eyes scrunched together.. then slowly she slitted her eyes.. To reveal a face.. Nafsiari ? Haba's mother! They were alive!? That soft pale face.. the green hair.. Her energy was pulling from the vacant void.. and slowly the blurred vision started to become crisp and clear.
To reveal the lie her eyes had lied to her.
The masucline muzzle.. that made her stomach turn. The males whom fell from her claws and fangs.. the scars and death she had caused to the males whom killed her mate and her mate's family, or so she was told.. The anger.. no hatred was shown in her eyes as she roared and snarled. Unsheathing her claws to swipe at the male. If he had moved or not did not matter as she took another swipe but sadly her claws had sunk back in her paw.. as he arm weakly fell with a thud.
She lacked in energy.. lacked in strength over the whole ordeal but that did not stop her from thinking she could defeat this male as she did the other whom cowarded and ran... or met death that day.
Her head lifted and her ears to the back as she growled.. and bared her fangs in a hiss.. in a warning of the warrior hidden under the fur... and the hatred she had.. buried inside of her.
"I WAS DEAD!" She yelled out.. Snarling that added in was weak.. but still fierce.
"I WAS DEAD... I was....dead.." Her voice was cracking.. pathetically.. Tears were held back.. why... WHY had this male..why was he here.... why was she alive! She thought.. finally. Gasping. Fur bristled.. unkept and just.. bad hair day. All the pain had ended to now come to the realization...her death was a lie. "I WAS DEAD! DA-" Her breath became shallow and her head fell.. still.. a pained look over her face.. still fierce.. but weak.. and in need of food and aid.. that she would never ask for.. A whimper..

Nyack paced in front of the female when she didn't readily awaken from the water. Was she dead? From the look of her she was close enough to it. Yet she didn't quite carry the smell of death. She smelled unhealthy and of illness but not death.
He grunted lifting his head to survey the area, his think tail flicking just at the end. He was still on patrol. This wasn't his territory and he thought he heard the cackle of the hyenas not too far off. Perhaps he could get Lucia to talk to them and get them to back off. Females did hold more power over males.
He noticed she was awake almost too late as the swipe and the roar came. He backed off, the claws barely scathing his leg. It was enough to get him to back off as she bared her teeth in a terrifying hiss. There was no doubt she was pissed off.
And her shouts only confirmed it. The older male put his ears back standing off to the side ready to bolt further away if she swatted at him again. He frowned. Was she upset that he prevented that? She obviously had gone through some hardship but to wish to die...
He couldn't fathom such a thing.
The kind voice of the male finally spoke as she settled down. Enough that granted him the ability to speak. He was slow sounding. Not bright but his words were like honey. "You were dying..." He responded uncertainly, "The hyenas were trying to kill you. I scared them off. Can you lift yourself to drink?" He slipped closer to her and toward the water, nudging it with his nose, his eyes never leaving her.

She whimpered... just angry that she couldn't even have the strength to move. She HATED it.. and as he spoke.. she slitted her eyes.. seeing everything.. and feeling. EVERYTHING. Slowly... a tear.. reluctant to stay inside her eyelids.. slid down her face.. Just one.. but it was sneaky.. and just sunk in to her skin and fur. When she opened her eyes.. he was .. trying to justify himself.
"I died.. I wanted to die."
Cringing as she felt him just get a tad closer.. If she had the energy.. she'd take another swipe at him to leave her alone.. But that wasn't gunna work with the rate she was going. She'd die miserably and not the way she was about to just moments ago. Her body literately gave up. Now.. it was like.. she could not get a moment of rest for herself.
"I was SUPPOSE to die!" She turned to him.. eyes just angry but filled with an inner hurt and heartbreak. "I was suppose to die.. there isn't anything left..." Her head couldn't lift anymore.. "I CAN LIFT MY HEAD. I CAN LIFT MORE THAN THAT." She grunted and barely lifted her head and at the end of her sight she could see the water getting near but right when she got just an inch away from it. Her head fell with a thump. Completely letting a ring course through her brain.. it HURT. She was SOOOO close.. her teeth showing as she grunted and tried to stretch but that was futile as well. Just so close to death.. and her strength was zero that she now was.. just telling the truth.. and knew. Realized. She was helpless. To live she would need someone to aid her.. she was crippled and sick looking and this wasn't the Gin she knew herself to be. But then again.. she had driven herself mentally far away from what she knew herself to be. Her true self. The strong and the protector.. and now that she was on the other end, she knew fighting now... would be futile. When she got stronger.. she will be able to run him off. But for now.
Laying there with the water so close she could smell it.. breathing slowly to try and retain the pain.. . When she slowly opened her eyes once more after blinking.. everything went blurry again.. and the emptiness was waving headaches now. Her body started to shake just a tad here and there.. the muscles twitching from the tension.
Determined.. but still she could not achieve the feat and enough that when she did lift her head up once more to try again. Not just her head this time but her whole body. She got all the way up to her forearms looking at him. "Told you s-" She waved about a little.. as if drunk.. then collapsed. Her vision went blank and fell against the water. Not moving.. and her tongue just slightly out as she looked now. Knocked out.

The male back up as if he'd been stuck by her. Even if her voice was cracked it still carried so much hatred. The male put his ears back and took a big step backward, giving her space. His eyes caught hers and he understood.
Something horrible must have happened in her life. Why else would anyone *want* to die? He went to move forward to stop her from moving then hesitated and stayed put. She was hurt and weak. If he provoked her it would only make her worse. He watched as she tried to lift herself up and fell. Each time his heart wrenched.
Maybe he should have... No. That went against everything he knew. As soon as she fell against the ground he was at her side and brushed his muzzle against her cheek. She was still breathing just unconscious. The panic ebbed down and he picked her up gently by her scruff, moving her out of the small puddle but close enough that if she dipped her muzzle forward she could get a drink.
The male dropped down beside her, still wary, and used the chance to start cleaning her wounds. She may hate him or scratch him but he would still help her because not many would.
When she awoke there would be a rabbit carcass beside her close at hand. The male was still near, hiding just outside her clearing, ever watching.

Unconscious once more.. She hadn't felt so weak in her life since seeing Haba being dragged away and her nails being dragged on rock.. And Gin's paws.. now adol could not longer fit through the hole to touch her Haba. Blacked out.. her mind went in to a relapse of what happened.. and the war. The memories feeling like they were a haunting spirit around her. So much wrong. So..so much wrong. It took probably til midnight before she awoke. The morning dusk gone.. as her eyes looked upon the place.. where she laid. Hoping the male was gone..
The thick smell of meat.. though not completely freshly caught.. but it was there. Awaking her senses and edging toward consciousness. Food. How long had she been without it? She rose.. thinking she had the strength to do so until she ended up back on the floor quicker than she thought. Turning.. she saw the water..so close to her? How did it move withing SUCH a close distance. She dipped her head down.. and took laps ever so quietly.. and slowly.. The water.. surged through each vein in her body.. As though giving life to her. That in turn.. after an hour of laying there. She got slightly up.. enough to drag the kill to herself.. and started to eat. It tasted.. good in a sense.. but she wasn't in it for taste but for hunger.
Almost driving her mad while she ate. Vicious as she did so.. Utterly obsessed with every inch of it. It wasn't until the body was BONE dry that she laid on top of it. Bones sticking up and out.. All every which way. Even organs had gone down the hatch. She laid on it.. as though she was attached to it.. But she wasn't. Looking about finally.. her rage had calmed. For now.
She looked about. She was... alone. Closing her eyes.. Giving a sigh as the food tried to find settlement in her stomach but couldn't. Not even two hours after that.. she threw it up.. coughed and hacking a few times.. Before slowly moving away from it then laying on the opposite side of where the leaf with water was. Sighing.. and breathing just slightly.. that was a first.. feeling sickly in just every way but .. was she looked about.. she did not see the male. I calmed her just slight before she turned to look over her body.. The battle's remains to see that .. They were covered.. she thought on them. They didn't hurt AS bad neither. Astounded.. There was food. Water. Her wounds that were covered. Hopefully to heal soon.
Was.. this the male? Which ailed her. Disgusting to her. Shuttering at the mere thought of that. 'Did he help me?' She looked away for a moment and had laid her head promptly down... Not much til the sun rises.. For now. She would rest... and thats what she did. Not even time to clean herself.. she just needed rest..

Nyack's eyes let out a violet glare as he watched her from a thicket. He waited, observed while she ate and even went all of it came back up. Still something had gotten into her belly and that was what mattered.
She was able to move now too and his chest swelled with pride. He was helping. Soon she would be up and ready to go if he kept it up. Once she fell asleep again the older male was up and hunting again. He had to work hard. The game had figured out there was a lion near by but he wouldn't leave the area. He had to keep watch and take care of her at the same time.
This time when she awoke it was a small hare that was laid out in front of her. After all a smaller meal might be easier on her. Next was water. He dug his claws into the ground, splaying dirt before, with a large leaf began to carry water to it. It took a while for the ground to stop soaking it but he ended up with a sizable puddle.
He glanced at her again before slinking away to wait for her to wake up. He himself fell asleep in his thicket.

Her dreams.
Only in her dreams did the past never take place. It was when she could be with her family and together with her Haba.. but dreaming was far from reality.
-Dreaming- As if every step... was a mile long and a year to make. Still a juvenile as she sprinted out towards the lands.. her tail wagging happily as she looked back with a childish smile. Being the brute strength but still.. Haba taught her tender play..
Then her aunt.. a plague of the past started to reach out its hands.. and suffocate her. Slowly the dream became a nightmare. The white sands of lush started to crumble and become black and tainted. Disappearing and coming after her.. her body being pulled up and squeezing and breaking her body with grasps. Her tail padding as her heart had.
On the outside it was hard to relax her body. It was tight now even in sleep as the nightmare took over her body.. and when the sun had glazed over her body, it awoke her in a shaken manner. The sound of a jackal coming along and barking. Her head shot up- huffing and made an attempt to move but it was a failure to act upon such a movement. She watched with glazed purple eyes out.. the jackal was far but its barks were annoying.. and awoke her whole body.. having to shake off the nightmare she had. She rose slightly and looked about her surroundings. How was it she was laying out in almost plain sight and no harm had come to her? It was weird.. and only some under bush was about. Her tail flickered as she then noticed upon slowly trying to get up and moved her paw upon a solidified carcass under it. The feeling of fur.. Likely it was this, smell. That brought the jackal about.
She leaned down and smelt the food and looked about as her head was low.. Slowly taking her claws out to hold it in place as she examined the body. It was the smell of another lion that lingered and it could have been the lion that very well saved her. That was something she couldn't change and it made her turn her face and not eat it. Instead.. she examined closer to where a hole was dug up and water seemed to have flowed evenly there even if there was no like stream next to her. She couldn't see it but she knew there had to be one close.
"...Why. Did he do this and not very well attack me while I slept.. Or much. Killed me already." The smell of her inners being spilled out just hours ago reeked and it made her slowly get up and the strength to not be in a place that she now couldn't stand. Making a point to move her body elsewhere.
She was slow moving like a turtle and all her sores- blisters- pains and stomach aches made it a burden to move but it was apparent for her to move as she made her way slowly to the stream that had to be close.. watching to see any prey but even that was scarce here. Ears twitched to any noise and she felt bored of everything..as if it didn't much matter anymore and as her paws felt the ground.. and gave her movement.. and upon that arrival to the stream she promptly fell to the ground in a lay position.. her forearms sparwled out over the rocks.. and the water clear in front of her. The very tips of her digits touching the clear liquid.
It was hard to have moved in that little bit. Her nose not even paying as much attention as her ears were. The lion's smell hadn't caught on her, neither did she care as she slowly pushed her maw forward to lap at the water.. Then slowly did she push her body up.. to be able to look down in to it.
"Why couldn't I have just died. Why- just because of a life I never wanted? Did he save without knowing my past.. not knowing now how much I hated living. The food. The water." She said in a way that felt so detached.. and surreality creepily unmotivated. Then her paw swiped at the water in anger.
"Then a life destined to suffer I'll face. My old pride was right..karma does bite back. All the sins I have done.. this is what I get." She sneered.. talking really to herself as she growled at the water. The sun was brightly piercing the sky over the mountains. Not fully up~ but it was creeping now over mountain's shadow. Her tail dead like across the ground and pretty much biting her lip from the pain. She will never heal.. all these wounds. The male had treated them ever so slightly but she would not heal.. she was already dead but still walking. There was a scarce trees about.. and she happened to but next to one.. and that damn jackal must have taken the rabbit already because she couldn't hear it barking any longer..

That same jackel was the one to awaken Nyack from his slumber. He'd gotten precious few hours between taking care of the female he was watching over and himself. His old leg injury was starting to ache and was giving him a distinct limp on his hind left leg. He heard her voice, quiet and mumbling to herself and instantly rose.
Was that jackel after her meal? Not after he worked so hard for it! He crept out watching her accept the water. Sure enough there was that b*****d sneaking off with her meal. The lion narrowed his violet eyes on the scavenger and let him pass by before giving chase.
The barking reoccurred in a loud manner that might be swearing as its meal was reclaimed. Nyack gave it a firm swat with his claws to ensure its departure was a quick one and snorted at it. How -dare- he! He worked hours to catch the rabbit for her!
He braved through the thicket again and out to her, still favoring his leg. "Sorry," He mumbled as he tossed it back in her direction. "I'll make sure he never comes that close again. I wasn't paying attention. Are you well today?"

Her ears went up.. and then her head when she heard the jackal running in fear and saw that he had found her with ease. Of course. She was always CLOSE. She couldn't move that far anyhow. Seeing him toss it her way. She was hungry yes, but he was the one whom hunted it. Blankly staring at it before starring back at him. Then the water beside her. The small yet delicate stream. Not accepting nor denying his apology.
"I don't think I can ever be well."
Her voice was dark and angry still.. so very angry. It was straining her more than being sick.
"What do you think. I can't hardly move and I have YOU following and taking care of me like I'm some oversized cub." She growled- looking back at him. Again on the defensive side.. where she got up just a tad as though she was ready to attack if he got too close yet again.

The male's ears flattened slightly as she shunned what he'd worked so hard to get. He laid down, his leg too sore today to take his weight for long. Must be a storm coming. He put his head down on his paws and sighed. "I think you will be... you can't stay sick forever.. it just takes time."
He let out a deep chested sigh and looked away. "I don't think you're a cub..." He responded slowly and careful of his words. "A cub isn't as strong or smart as you are. You'll be able to move soon..." He gave a lick to his front paw to distract himself. "... My name is Nyack."

Growling lightly as she returned her stare at the water. She couldn't just run away.. she physically couldn't. All the energy had gone in to coming close to the water source he probably used to get her water.. grudges were purely tarring her heart apart. If she had one left.
She wanted to STAY sick. How could someone WANT or wish that? She did. It was hard and living a life like this was harder. Especially when it was.. as close to nothing left for her. Now. Except for him and that .. was an amazon's worst fate ever. To be with a male..
Was he.. complimenting her? She wasn't sure as she looked at him.. sneering a little.. ears pushed back.. it was her normal face as of now.. "Of course I'll be able to move soon. I have no other choice if I want to get away from YOU!" Such harsh words.. Probably didn't know the gravity of it- nor what it will take from them.
"Why should I even tell you my name. It's not like we'll be seeing much of each other since I'm probably going to be leaving soon anyways." She huffed.. Nyack. That was his name.. why would he tell her? Again. He HAD to know that she distasted him highly.. but yet he'd tell his name so plainly? Hmph. As he was her savior and had to abide by what he thought.. and take his compliments. She wouldn't. Her head moving down as her shoulders and back looked curved and hunched over. "Stop trying to sweet talk me. I'm not a dumb lioness~ that a male could simply put under his paw." Sneering her words as though angry at all existence of males.

Nyack jerked his head back at the harsh words. It hurt someplace deep and he shifted uncomfortably. So she really didn't like him. Well, he couldn't please everyone. That was the nature of the world but at least she would get well enough to move. That meant she could find someone who might help that sore heart of hers.
His pain meant nothing compared to that. "Well... I'll keep helping you until then." He once again shifted this time so that he was sitting up. He wanted to go and comfort her but he might loose his nose. "You don't have to tell me. I dont want to put you under my paw... I just want you to get well again. I hope you do. You're already looking much better...."

Turning fully towards him now like a serpent with her flowing body motion. "Why." Ears still back and a not so happy face. "Why.. tell me that much. Whats the price I have to pay for healing me. As if I'd pay or owe a male." Huffing and exploiting her real problem. Sexist.
"Look better to you~! How does this work.. Whatever your name is." Rolling her paw in an uncaring way~ but trying to show him how she knew something was up. "What is it- en experiment or achievement!" A burrowing hollow growl. Tossing her gaze away from him for she couldn't even stand the sight of him. Also. That and biting her lip on what pains she had and how her pads were still sore.. There was no way to fully get them to heal while walking..so went back to facing the river.. flopping down so she could see him if he attacked or moved in on her but enough so she could shield her face from him with her tuff. It was getting rather long and messy.. Looking all kinds of
