Co-Ownership Agreement ThreadWelcome! This thread is for those owners who have decided to co-own a pet. In order to keep things fair, and everyone happy, we have provided contracts that lay out exactly who has RP/plot/breeding rights, and what they are. Why have we done this? This allows all owners an opportunity to spell things out, to have a 'contract' to fall back on so that there is nothing vague and everyone knows what is expected or has been agreed upon. In the end, this should help owners, and everyone in the shop, have some fun. ^.^ This thread is not required to be filled out. HOWEVER, misunderstandings and disagreements are a fact of life, and without something in writing, you have nothing to go back to and say "we agreed to such and such" should some question/problem occur. Remember, this is for your, and your partner's, benefit. 3nodding What is Co-Owning?Co-owning is the process in which one pet is shared and owned by two people. This pet will have both persons names on its cert. There are a few ways that lead to co-owning a pet: ( and remember that it's not limited to just these four) A person pays for a pet, but decides to share it with another person
A person wins a pet in a game and allows another person to share the won pet
A person receives a pet in a breeding, but shares the pet with another person
Two people pay for the same pet and share it A Few Points to Remember: A co-owned pet has role playing rights with either one or both of the people co-owning
When breeding a co-owned pet, there either needs to be an extra cub involved, or the two people agree on who gets cubs now and who gets them in the future

The Omnipresent Rules All Must Obey...
If you decide to co-own a pet, and post your contract,
remember that you are required to follow these rules:
When Co-Owning... Remeber that posting the forms below constitute a legally binding contract.
Again, this is for YOUR benefit to fill out, though not required. However, should any disputes arise, they can be easily fixed by either referring here, or talking to one of the staff as a moderator to modify an existing contract if a particular point is missing.
RP/Breeding/Sig rights should be spelled out in full.
The more detail that is in a contract the better as it leaves little room for dispute.
The agreements need to be agreed upon by both parties, and signified as such by one person posting the form, the other quoting it and saying that they agree.
In essence, this means that both parties are 'signing' the contract. In the past, if a single person bought/won a pet had full say on what happened without needing the other person to agree. However, for this contract to be fully legal (as much as it can be in a breedables shop) the other party STILL needs to quote and say they agree to abide by said contract. Without a full agreement on the side of both parties, the contract is void.
Once the form has been filled out, and the other party has quoted they agree, it CANNOT be edited.
This is if no dispute has arised to cause the changes to be made. To change an existing agreement, post a new contract with the changes highlighted in red. Alert the staff to the fact the contract is being changed, so we know to take the old contract out. Breaking Up Is Hard To Do... A lion that was fully paid for, won in a game, or received in a breeding by an original owner, this owner simply has to post in this thread to break all ties with co-owner.
Why? Because they were the ones who paid for/received the lion in the first place. If the person they decided to co-own with doesn't live up to their contract, the original owners has all rights to break it without the co-owner's agreement.
A lion that was paid by both parties, however, must be agreed upon by BOTH owners before breaking any ties.
One owner cannot just claim full ownership if the other doesn't agree. If the two owners can come to agreements from breaking all ties, then the "Breaking Ties" form should be posted within this thread by one of the owners, THEN agreed on by the other through quoting and confirming
If owners cannot come to agreements at all, only then will staff become involved.
Remember, we won't be playing any "friends" cards when it comes to this, the staff will decide on the outcome as a whole based on the situation.
You should NOT resent any of the staff members for the final decision
This is just childish and completely unfair - they were simply doing their job and trying to HELP.

Current Contracts
Below are the list of the current co-owned lions along with their agreements. Silver Metallic Dragon Iratus Mancipium Co-owning AgreementsCo-owners: Iratus Mancipium and Silver Metallic Dragon Lion: JormungandHow lion was obtained: He came from a breeding between my lioness Discord and Twitchs boy Stryker. Sig Rights: Both are allowed to have him in their sig. Role Playing Rights: Silver has all rights. Breeding Rights: With the first breeding, in the case of two cubs I will recieve one, while the owner of the mother will receive the other. If their is a third cub, Silver will get the third. Additional Agreements: In the case that Silver will be gone for a long amount of time, I will take on the rp rights to be sure that plots do not be put on hold or fall behind. If for any reason silver and myself can no longer co-own in peace she will have full ownership and rights to Jor. I agree to all of it.
Yin-Bug Ripple Co-owning AgreementsCo-owners: Yin-bug & [x~Ripple~x] Lion: Azazel ErosHow lion was obtained: Ripple paid in full for the cub after proxying for Yin in the Christmas '07 FS, in failing to manage to claim her anything they agree'd to co-own the cocoa cub. Sig Rights: Both have full sig rights. Role Playing Rights: Both have full RPing rights though Yin tends to RP him more. Breeding Rights: Both must agree to the breeding over IM/PM, then cubs are worked out between us, if there isn't enough for us both to claim one co-owning may occur though either owner is welcome to give up rights. Additional Agreements: IF it got to the point Yin and I no longer agree'd to co-own Ripple will give full rights to Yin.
Youkosperv AmaDawn Co-owning Agreements Co-owners: AmaDawn and Youkosperv Lion: [link image] DevlinHow lion was obtained: [was it paid for by both, or did it originally belong to one person? Please state] Gifted to AmaDawn and YoukosPerv by Ripple Sig Rights: [is this person allowed to put the lion in their sig?] Both AmaDawn and Youkosperv have sig rights, and may post this lion in this sig if they chose. Role Playing Rights: [how will role playing work out?] Both AmaDawn and Youkosperv have role playing right to this lion. Whom ever if online at the time may role play him. In the case that both AmaDawn and Youkosperv are online, Youkosperv will be rping this lion, unless AmaDawn has a plot in mind, and in such a case the plot will be discussed through messenger before role playing takes place. Breeding Rights: [in the case the lion breeds, how will cubs be determined?] In the case of a breeding, the one who get’s first choice will be determined by randomized number. Should the breeding be with any other lion not owned by either Youkosperv or AmaDawn, rights to first pick of the litter will also be determined by randomized number. AmaDawn will hold even numbers, Youkosperv will hold odd numbers. Additional Agreements: [anything else you wish to add] Any plotting or joining of prides will be discussed and determined by both AmaDawn and Youkosperv in messenger. I agree to all of this.
Lunar Mirage Iratus Mancipium Co-owning AgreementsCo-owners: Iratus Mancipium(Jezzabelle Kissntell) and Lunar Mirage Lion: TyrannyHow lion was obtained: Won it in the 3rd year anniversary dream contest. Sig Rights: Both persons are allowed sig rights. Role Playing Rights: Mira will be role playing him Breeding Rights: cubs will be split between owners in the case there are two. If their are three one cub will be given away. Additional Agreements: If for any reason Mira is unable to get on for a period of time, and she has Tyranny in plots I will gain rp rights to ensure that her plots do not fall behind. When she returns all rp rights will go back to her. If for some reason we can no longer co-own in peace I will keep Tyranny but any of the offspring she received from breedings will still belong to her. I confirm these co-ownership agreements. heart

Mom, He's Breathing My Air...!
Below are the list of the lions that were originally co-owned, but had all ties broken due to conflict or another situation. This is here for future reference and documentation so staff can fall back on it if there is ever another problem.
None as of yet...YAY!

Co-owning Agreements Co-owners: xx Aps and [x~Ripple~x] Lion: Saeran, Haruké, Reelo, Azana, Akiesse Sollaire, Amberli, Haldeis, Koyemsi, Irehin, Aihiro, Caeisis and Ares DracoHow lion was obtained: [All of these pets are originally owned by xx Aps] Saeran was a gift from Rhea, Haruké, Azana and Akiesse were won in a game, Reelo was a Semi-Custom, Amberli, Irehin, Aihiro were from flatsales, Haldeis and Caeisis were from raffles, Koyemsi and Ares Draco were from breedings Sig Rights: Both people are allowed to put them in sigs. Role Playing Rights: Rping rights go to [x~Ripple~x] unless I ask for permission to rp them. Breeding Rights: Breeding rights are mostly to [x~Ripple~x] unless I ask permission, however, I have to agree to all breeding partners or its null and void. In case of babies I will have a choice to obtain a baby upon each breeding, if there are only two children the one I choose will be co-owned with [x~Ripple~x] with much the same agreements as posted here unless I suddenly become active in the shop again [In that case we will rediscuss co-owning relationship]. Additional Agreements: Though I doubt this would happen... in case of any disagreements all rights go back to xx Aps.
