I love the Star Fox games, and this game was looking awesome. Now I am hearing some negative things responses to the game.
Has anyone tried it yet? What do you think of it? I want to see what others who have tried it think about it.

Currently, its number one on my wish list. I've heard that it is extremely short, but the multiplayer will make up for that. I plan to buy it as soon as I acquire the necessary funds.

If its anything like what I've heard, then the game isn't worth crap. Fortunately, it was a flash movie making fun of some new video game sequels, so I know it won't be so. The Star Fox Adventures on gamecube was just stupid, but this will be better since it does use the same style of gameplay that made previous Star Fox games good.

And for those of you who are interested, the quote of the parody review I heard goes like this: "Well, Fox is going off to fight the greatest battle of his life, but then he's going to decide to stop halfway there and run around on a planet for 20 hours. Then he's gotta go to the Super market, and then there's the cooking sequence. Gamers will be talking about that for years to come" (found at www.bonusstages.com, episode 25).

I am so happy Nintendo chose Namco to do this, because Star Fox Assault looks so good. Just like Star Fox 64, except for improved graphics and now on foot battles. I am drooling over this game, it looks sooo good. eek

I want to rent it at Blockbuster but I'm not sure if they released it for renting here in Canada.

I'm not worried about the new battle system, because I'm sure anything would beat the crap that Rare put on Starfox Adventures. The only thing I'm worried about is the length. While Starfox games are good, they've always had a reputation for being extremely short.

This game looks really good. I'll probably rent it, probably because I'm not good at games like this. Star Wars: Rogue Leader was fun, though.

I played the original Starfox (64). I wasn't very good at it. ;.;

God! I rented star fox assualt and it was OK.

Arwing: the all arwing levels were the best ones, they were the most fun.
(there were only like 2)
Landmaster: It was ok, you can hover high but WTF! an arwing could kill a certain enemy in exactly 12 shots, but the landmaster can kill a certain enemy in like 1 shot. WTF!
On Foot: i know you were looking forward to this feature but it was bad. You had to charge up a shot for 5 seconds to kill a single Aparoid( an enemy). The machine gun was week, the H-launcher was good, the Sniper rifle wasn't as fun as i thought it would be.

Slippy, falco, and peppy's Voice changed and it was weird, the dialouge was taken directly out of Star Fox 64, except crystals.

I usually love star fox games but this one sucked hard!

Most of the flying aparoids would have armor. THe land one most likely were weaker. Either that or the Landmaster shot is much more powerful. (Seeing as you can't shoot rapidly. only like on shot a second.)

Also, that charge thing. You are so wrong. THat was only for the really strong ones. The other ones could be taken down with a few normal shots.

THe machine gun wasn't meant to be used on strong enimies. NEXT.

Not really. I didn't see much similarities at all. And I just played Star Fox 64 2 days before SFA. And I know the SF64 dialouge pretty damn well. And it's Krystal.

Sucked hard? Maybe in your perspective yes. But I thought it was a damn good addiction to the Star Fox series and deserves credit.

There was a Star Fox 64 2? Cool. Well I bought the game today and I must agree that it is REALLY short but what it does have is very good. Though, I have to say the best upgrade that they made was that they got rid of the guy that did Slippy's voice from Star Fox Adventure. I spent most of my time in the other game plotting ways to murder the voice actor.

I meant "@days" not "Star Fox 64 2".

Blasphemy! Even with Slippy the N64 Star Fox had much better voice acting than the new one. Assault's shining gem is its battle mode. It kicks a**.

BTW I have found my new gaming guilty pleasure: Hitting opponents with landmaster tanks in VS mode.
