Tektek is a couple of things... but mainly it's popular for it's Dream avatar creation service (of GaiaOnline avatars), which allows basically a free combination of any and all items, which you can save to showcase elsewhere. After creating an avi on tektek, it'll tell you how much gold it would take to reach your newly created dream avatar based on current goings on the Gaia marketplace. i mainly use it to find out what all of the new items are for events and bundle events.
it also keeps a log of current and past market values. you can use tektek for quest bars and avis too.
quite exciting that they have boo skins now!

Interesting.
It's nice that Tekton got it up, but precluding the possibility of a return in the future, it seems like a practically pointless thing to do.

I think it's more as an act of preserving history than anything else, as the 2k4 zombie skins are still kept on Tektek... though it's completely impossible for it to exist on gaia nowadays. sweatdrop EDIT: Nevermind this. They re-released the zombie skin under a different name last easter.

Or, perhaps, Tekton simply wishes Tektek to be a complete compendium, filled to the brim with all of the items, even those that aren't necessarily available still. Similar perhaps to preservation, but with this theory, preservation is a bit too hopeful of a way to put it.

i don't know how you can view it as something other than preservation. it's not like you can equip it to get the skin on gaia. plus, i don't think they have insider info from gaia if the skin was to be released for equipable use. would be nice though
