Chobi:
The dark and bright pelted girl had only known travel all her short life. Her father Xanthus kept her and her sister on their paws. Moving from one place to another. Yakujo remembered very little of her mother, just that she had one. Her memories were neither pleasant nor were they bad. The cub just knew she had a mother at some point.
Xanthus rarely talked about her though. Said something about her being a demon. Not that it was a bad thing, Xanthus loved her mother, but it was just one of those things they didn't talk about. Yakujo wasn't entirely sure what all of it meant but she never thought to ask more about it.
Now they were taking a break by a cool stream. The small cub rested her paws in the flowing water. It felt good to stop moving for once and just relax. She hated this travel. She really did. Yakujo just wanted some where she could rest for a while. Some where she could just not think about all this travel. Maybe if her father settled down...
Demo:
Falk was waiting on the edge of the pride, his pale white fur standing out against the green grass around him. He didn't mind that his fur stood out, for his name was a holy name... or something like that anyway. His white fur made him special, gave him his sight... or something like that. He wasn't excatly sure how all that worked.
He sighed and stood up, rolling his golden eyes. So boring. Sure, his name was a holy name and all that jazz, but the boy had a lot more fun watching what the warriors were doing instead of paying attention to... spiritual... stuff.
"Dull." He mumbled, trying his best to stay on topic. He was supposed to be contemplating something he cared nothing about. All he really cared about in terms of the whole spiritual thing was the Gods and their codes. Honour codes and whatnot. Very interesting.
Chobi:
The female waddled through the shallow water on the edge of the stream. She pawed the water here and there as she went to make things a little more interesting then things realy were. But all and all traveling was tiring and boring.
From time to time they'd run into a pretty female lion her and her sister would try to hook daddy up with but for the most part it was just tall grass and trees and moving scenary. But that was the life of a rogue was it not?
Sigh.
The cub padded out of the water and toward the tree filled area for some shade and maybe some well deserved rest. Her dark pelt would have hidden her if it was nt for the bright patches that screamed her prescence.
Demo:
Falk tilted his head a little when he felt that... thing. They didn't always come as visions, sometimes just as feelings. And this feeling wanted him to go in... that direction. To do something. He sighed, standing up and shuffling along. It wasn't that he lacked grace, per say, more than he... took little interest in these things.
Boring. He wanted to talk to Gods, or fight epic battles and die as a hero. Not to say being a Shaman, or heading towards being one anyway, wasn't flattering, but there were other things that came with the job. Boring, studious things. But he did like being special.
Sigh.
"Where am I supposed to be going exactly?" He mumbled to himself, following wherever the visions would take him. Or, in this case, a feeling.
Chobi:
The female felt the ground beneath her paws when she reached the shade. It was soft, and perfect place to catch some zs. She was all to ready for her nap now. Traveling... her poor sore paws.
She circled around alnd laid down. Not at all blending with her surroundings.
Demo:
Then he spotted her, walking forward a little, "Ah... there you are. Subtle." The last word was more to himself than anyone else. Or the visions, whatever they were supposed to be exactly.
"Hey. You. I'm supposed to find you." He told her, walking up slowly
Chobi:
The female lifted her head and flicked her tail in annoyance. Who the heck ...?
He spotted him, blindingly white. Like some kind of snow lion or something. That was if Yakujo knew what snow was. She hadn't seen any in her travels.
"Did my father send for me..." Her tone was more or less not happy. Not happy at all.
Demo:
"Your father? No. I don't care about him. My visions sent me." Falk said, his eyebrow twitching with annoyance. Didn't she know who he was? Well, maybe not. He had no idea who she was supposed to be either.
She was dark though, black, except for the weird rainbow stuff. Kind of like his weird rainbow stuff. Weird. Maybe that was why he was supposed to find her? Who could really say?
"So... who the hell are you anyway?" He asked, not caring about how he came off. That sort of thing had never really bothered him.
Chobi:
The female made a face. How did this cub know him? His visions? Like a dream? This only further confused the cub. He was odd and a little.... alot ... rude. What the heck?
"Yakujo," She answered even though his way of asking had been more then a little rude. She'd never encountered anyone like this. Everyone on their journeys had been hospitable and friendly for the most part. This cub.. didnt seem mean but he did seem different.
"You've got.. colors?" The question / statement came out a little baffled and unthought. But it was strange. In her family she'd been the only one who had colors. Was this lion some how related to her?
"Who are you...?" She stood up taking a few bold steps forward.
Demo:
"Yakujo... no, not farmiliar. Not helpful. My name is Falk." He told her, sitting down and observing her quietly, "I live in this place, in a pride. I have special powers... I can see things, feel things, like that." He explained, in very short form.
"I do also have colours." Falk nodded to the question/statement, "My father and my mother were both quite colorful, you see... so I take after my mother, or so my father tells me. I look like she does. The rest of my family is much brighter."
Not that it really mattered to him. He was white. He and one of his sisters, anyway. Both so bright, and quite handsome... or pretty was it? Either way, they were special because of it. Or at least, that was what he was told.
Chobi:
The female listened to him her tail neatly curled around her paws as she set nice and pretty. He went on about colors of pelt. She was strangly interested.
"Im the only one in my family with such bright colors," She confessed, "We're all dark pelted though. My father and my mother, though I dont remember much of her," She bit her lip. She was a demon or something . Yakujo wasn't allowed to talk about it so she kept her maw shut.
Her paws dug at the ground, "Are you looking for brightly pelted lions or something?" It didnt make sense why this lion would have visions tell him of her. Maybe the pelts? But that was kinda stupid. Yakujo was growing more and more annoyed just sitting here when she could be napping.
Demo:
"Interesting. Everyone in my family is quite bright." Barely interesting, but still better than nothing he supposed. He had to pay attention to these things, you never knew when something interesting would crop up. And with visions, there was always something.
"No, I'm not looking for anything. Or anyone really. I just go with the flow these days." He said, disinterested... or he would be disinterested, if his visions hadn't pointed him in that direction.
Visions always meant something, he just had to figure out what it meant. He hated puzzles like this. He was the kind of person who liked to look ahead and see the end, then find out what happened. Now he had just been pointed in a direction.
Chobi:
"Maybe you're no looking hard enough or something," The female yawned. She was being blatant at this point that he was bothering her and she just wanted a nap. Who knew when her father would call her to pack up and leave again.
"Maybe somethings looking for you or something. Maybe... I .. honestly really don't care. Mind moving a bit you're invading my nap space," She didn't care if she was rude at this point. She was cranky.
Demo:
Falk watched her, tilting his head a little as he listened to her talk. The ending statement made him grin a little, "You're rude. I like you. Too often everyone goes around saying things they don't mean. You're honest. I like honesty."
Honesty was way better than a bunch of liars. Liars who believed things they didn't mean, in things that didn't matter. He tended to not believe anyone when they said something kind... you shouldn't be kind to someone until they proved they deserved it.
Chobi:
The female had never been praised for being cranky before. Her jaw hung open for a moment not sure what to say to that. It was true, she was being honest. She'd never thought of it that way though.
The female finally came round , "You.. too?" She blinked. For a moment she forgot how bad she wanted that nap.
Demo:
Falk smirked at her a little, "Yeah, me too. Someone's always getting annoyed with me for doing something... well, you know. Saying what I mean instead of what people want to hear. Honesty."
He had always believed it was better to be honest than let anyone guess at what you really intended. And people seemed to think that was rude. He didn't get it.
Chobi:
Yakujo gave him a small smile. Falk was alright by her book, strange, but okay. Though seriously, she did want that nap. Her eye lids were heavy.
"I m going to take that nap now if you don't mind. Maybe I'll see you again . If I do then I'll know that you're visions are really leading you and your not some creepy pelt stalker," She gave him a smart a** grin. This felt all to good. More then it should have, it pleased her. Father would not have approved.
"Good night," She turned her back on him and closed her eyes. It felt good to be honest.
Demo:
"Night." He smiled back at her, turning and heading away. How pleasent, someone who was like him... someone who wasn't afraid to say what they meant. These things were important.
That, and she was pretty funny. He liked funny.
