- Exile/"Bad omen" after his failure in his rite of passage.

Personality:Jelani acts very much like the prince he was born to be. He speaks eloquently, holds himself with pride, and has a practical view of the world. He's seldom taken off guard and even rarely intimidated. However, the lion has a hair trigger on his temper. Cursed by the goddess of psychopathy in her prior life his temper often drives him into an insane tirade. Often by the time he calms himself out of his rage, his claws are already slicked with blood.
Jelani does not like anything getting in his way. He was denied his position in his pride with his failed rite, and he was denied the death his failure would have granted him through the compassion of a god. He vaguely remembers a winged figure stooped over him, nursing his wounds, and giving him the strength he needed to survive an otherwise mortal wound. His survival infuriated him. He saw the mercy as a god's curse to see him living his life in shame and exile. Rather than accept his failure and make a new life for himself, he's vowed to free himself from the god's hold over him- one way or another.
As time goes on, his hatred (and as a result- his madness) increase. He often entertains thoughts of waging war against the gods and turning the mortals against the beings they worship in order to free them from their fates.

**I don't want Jelani getting involved with any other bad guys. He'd likely kill them. He's not completely 'evil'. He's more the type that's doing what he thinks is the right thing for all the wrong reasons. Anyone that's going around just raping and BEING EBULS he would KILL. If you insist on a battle of the baddies- keep that in mind. I'm not saying he'll win, but he won't wanna buddy buddy up with them.**
**Jelani doesn't handle pain in a normal fashion. Having already suffered a mortal injury, anything else pales in comparison. He's likely to laugh at being bitten or clawed. Yes it damages him like anyone else but he won't shut down when facing pain.**
**There are some prides that he would not tolerate. Spirit bound, for one, he would likely try to put an end to (...he's nuts. Remember that.). He would be disgusted to hear of a pride that sacrifices mortals to please gods (Or "spirits"). Either Amazon pride he'd see as easy prey and likely terrorize simply because he firmly believes that females -are- the weaker sex. He'd see their traditions as insanity. Demons he would NOT tolerate either, he'd see them as delusional (pot calling kettle?) . Keep this in mind if you want a character from these prides to interact with him. He won't take it nicely. The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged but I can't control itDo want:
- Jelani is a bad guy, plain and simple. However, he's not the "ZOMG RAEP U AN LAUF" or the "I'M EBUL TO BE EBUL." He is very tactful in his ambitions and chooses his battles wisely. He has raped in two occasions- once in an attempt to claim his brother's mate as his own and a second time to disgrace a lioness for refusing to assist him in seeking out her patron god. I don't intend for him to rape anyone else, it's just not his typical style. He is, however, fine with flings. He has a silver tongue and can likely convince any lioness that she held his heart. Just don't be surprised if he decides to walk off without sticking around after the encounter.
- Prides to investigate. Currently, he's trying to understand the true nature of gods. He's nearly killed one, he's killed one who sought him out for that purpose, and he's attacked another. Each encounter has brought him a little enlightenment towards the true nature of gods but he doesn't know them well enough to continue to pick fights with them. Nor does he remember which god cursed him and which one spared him. He'll likely enter a pride to ask the spiritual leaders about their patron god, what they know of gods, and perhaps snoop around for said god.
- God encounters. Keep in mind, he is -very- hostile towards gods and will attack them if the set off his hair trigger temper. For gods- this is very easy to do. I don't mind if he gets roughed up or cursed but I do want to talk out what will happen prior to a cursing.
- Followers? I may or may not pursue a larger plot with him. Currently, he's very liberal about sharing his views with other mortals. He sees the gods as playing with the lives of the mortals the way a puppeteer would play with his puppets. In his delusion, he believes that the only way to freedom is for the mortals to somehow overcome the gods. I may or may not try to get him to ascend. I want a LOT of plot for him, however. If you have anything to add/offer let me know!
- General RP. Keep in mind that he can be a perfect gentleman, few will actually know about his curse until it's too late. He has only really attacked one other mortal- and word hasn't gotten around about that.
- A well-thought out plot. I really do want to play him up a bit, get his name out there and cause some chaos. However, I cannot, will not god mode that he's this terror ripping through the grasslands. I want to plan things out with other people to set something up that'll be a nice, long, thought-out plot.
- Suggest something? I'm up for plotting really, and I'm pretty open for having Jelani play the part of a bad guy if you need one to move a plot along, it just has to make sense for him. So stay away from me, the beast is ugly

It comes awake and I can't control itDo not want:
- Jelani will never fall in love. He believes that it's a crippling emotion. He will often attack his enemy's heart before their flesh, especially if he's figured out their particular 'leverage' (A mate, a family, a friend, etc.). He keeps himself well guarded against affection to keep him from falling into the same trap. The only individuals he will ever soften up to completely are his first sons, Maeth and Lir.
- Death. I want him to be alive and kicking for a while.
- Rape. He will not be raping anyone else.
- Crippling curses. Curses that suddenly make him 'nice', 'happy', or having his psychopathy curse lifted.
- Friends. He has allies, he has followers- but not friends. Friends touch a little close on leverage. Remember, he's not afraid of putting anyone in danger.
- RANDOM EBULZ plots. He's not 'evil to be evil'. He's more the lawful evil type. He's doing what he does because he truly believes he's doing the right thing. If you need a random rapist or a random beating, he's not the lion you wanna look for. He only snaps when provoked.

There's no escape for me, it wants my soul, it wants my heartPlots in the works...
- Right now Jelani's on his way to Kiza. There he'll encounter Miakis, a lioness who suffers from memory loss. He's looking for the patron goddess of the pride and he'll use any method to get what information he wants. Seeing as Miakis is low on the food chain within the pride so to speak, he'll be disappointed in the information department. Rather than leave empty-pawed, he'll seduce her and convince her that he's fallen madly in love with her. The lioness will be impregnated- but forget who the father is. Jelani will leave for a time, leaving his offspring in the care of their mother. He may return at a later date to snatch at least one of his offspring to prod them for any knowledge of the god's whereabouts. If they still don't know he'll find some other way to manipulate his offspring into finding out for him.
I don't know how many I'll get in the litter or who I'm giving all the cubs to. I may custom another one for myself and Dusty, Dark Fire Angel will get one for sure. If you cannot work with myself, Dusty, or DFA in a plot don't bother asking to be involved in the plot. I would like to see it develop out a bit.

T he nightmare's just begun...
Plot Idea: Kizuka'nafsi is one of the two leaders of my concept pride, the Intaba'umbikezeli. They are an entire pride dedicated to the worship of the gods. They're a matriarchal society, but not an all female one like the Amazons. Women are valued because of a "gift" (which is really a disease) that passes down through their genes which allows the females to have "visions" (hallucinate). Males born with these visions are either pawned off onto other prides, if the mother's can't stand to harm their children, or drowned because it is believed that males with this gift go insane and become uncontrollably violent.
Kizuka would be more than happy to tell him of their god (their god is the god of Hallucinations, who does not yet exist), who they believe to be the one true god. And other things of that nature.

Additional notes: Kizuka is escorted everywhere she goes by a troupe of 4 (2 lions, a leopard and a female hyena). So please 2 not maim my girlie D:

Plot Idea: If Jelani can stand putting up with rambunctious children, Umuthi'johari is a cub Jelani should talk to. She's knows about one particular god, Fleance the god of Ashes. She is friends with his daughter, Kimo. If Jelani plays his cards right and doesn't scare the crap out of her, she would tell him everything she knows about Fleance. She can't lead Jelani to him, though.

Additional notes: Umu is a generally loving and sociable girl. So long as Jelani is nice, or feigns niceness to her, she'll keep talking to him until she runs out of things to say XD
