It looked like it was going to rain...Lila hated the rain, not for the typical female reasons - Lila didn't care if the rain plastered her hair to her head like a ragged mop, she didn't even mind getting wet like some did, Lila hated the way it covered up sounds, it was infinitely harder to hear someone sneaking up on you over the sound of pounding rain. A few cats had told her she was a bit paranoid about that sort of thing but Lila preferred to think herself cautious. One didn't do well on the streets if they didn't pay attention to what was going on around them and Lila...she liked to do well.
More then just 'well' was preferable, but well would do in a pinch and she stared moodily at the grey sky and heavy clouds as though daring them to ruin her current state of well being. Lila was somewhat between jobs at the moment, without much of a cause to pursue and not being the type to get cozy with strangers this meant she spent allot of time aimlessly wandering, stalking or stomping about as her mood dictated. But it looked like the rain was going to wreak her wandering and it would probably be wise to stalk off and find a place to shelter before it started.
If she didn't hurry she would wind up having to fight with a couple of strays over the best spot - actually a fight might lift her mood somewhat, but beating a scrawny little stray wasn't much of a challenge and she doubted it would really be worth the effort in the end. "Blasted rain" She growled before turning her gaze away from the sky to eye prospective places to wait it out.

x x x x x x x x x x x x x Aaah, not even rain could lower his spirits! It was dismally gray, humid, and warm - a pretentious cat's worse nightmare. And the rain! God, it was as if it were raining . . . . Cats and dogs? He grinned a little at the weak pun. But not only had he gained a territory of his own with El, but he had been amassing quite a few allies as well as a potential one: Aki still needed work, however. He was . . . unrefined. Young. But those were the sort of cats that he could take on, yes? The best ones to pay attention to.
As it was, now that he was getting settled it was high time he began trying to find old contacts. Already the black cat had located an old friend - one of the particularly eccentric ones, but a useful one nonetheless - and had picked up directions on where to find a sympathizer to his cause. But he had no intention of finding this Siam person until after the rain had ceased, and so he too was attempting to find a good place to hide out until the storm was over. A suitable place was found just beneath the awning extending from a cafe's entrance door, and so it was that a passing human would spy a black cat with a scar over his right eye nestling comfortably by his lonesome.
But even when he was alone, BC was continually scanning the streets, as he was doing for the time now that he was out of the Facility. Time to refamiliarize himself with the city. This was . . . yes, an old haunt of hers. Oddly, the same general area they had met before, whilst he had been dining on a forgotten meal upon one of the cafe tables before a waiter could pick it up. Considering what Fate had been dealing to him now, he could expect -
- Ah yes, there we go. Around five minutes later after sitting down, he spotted a flash of red in the distance coming up the street, and BC grinned. No doubt Lila would be hating this weather. "I was hoping for a candlelit dinner between old friends, but it seems the weather has other plans," he called to her.

Lila's wayward stalk down the street was stopped short as a familiar voice floated out from the entrance of a local restaurant. It didn't take but a moment for her to locate him once she had a direction to look and she found herself vaguely irritated that he had managed to spot her first. Though to be fair he was hardly someone she'd been looking for. It had been...months? At least that long.
No - she hadn't been expecting him but that didn't mean she wasn't pleased to see him - considering the last place she'd laid eyes on him hadn't been the greatest of circumstances. Enough of that for now though and with a quick glance about - just to make sure no other unexpected beast was lurking in the shadows, because that just seemed to be her luck today - she trotted across the sidewalk to join him under the awning, huffing slightly at his remark about the weather. "Well" she commented after drawing close enough to get a good look at him. He looked to be doing rather well she thought to herself as she regarded him "If it isn't Red Eyes himself, come back from the shadows to grace us with his presence once more"

In response, he bowed a bit with a smile. "And if it isn't my favorite face to see! Although that face has seen better days~" He straightened, unable to help himself with the tease - even though it was quite likely that Lila would stab him with a wrong word. "I wil say it wasn't from the shadows that I came. The Facilty was . . . too bright. Too cleanly and innocent for my tastes. I allowed them to keep me there so that I might learn about what was going on, but afterwards I grew bored and decided to leave." Simple as that.
"But I won't open that can of worms just yet. How have you been, dear Lila?" he asked, grinning. "Is the human's bad economy affecting your jobmarket? Or have you moved on since I last saw you?"

Lila arched a brow slightly "Haven't we all" was her only remark on his little tease. There really was no point in fussing at him about it - she doubted it would get him to stop and in any case he was one of the few allowed to get away with such things. She was sure there was more to his story of escape then he was letting on, but she decided not to try prying it out of him at the moment.
"Bright places are bothersome" She agreed, she rather disliked placed flooded with light herself. Places like that made things difficult in her line of work and while she didn't mind a challenge she'd dealt with it enough that some things were less a challenge and more an irritant. "Boredom affects my job market" she told him with a slight shrug "I grow weary of picking off small game, I find myself seeking a challenge and finding none that suit"

"Small game? You?" He tutted in mock shock. "My, it must have truly fallen through for you since the capture. 'Tis lucky for both of us that I made it out then, for I have a new job I would interest you in!" He clapped his hands together. "My recent stay at the Facility did not hamper my original plans: in fact, they have provided for me the stepping stone to begin it and refueled my passion. Already I am beginning to find new cats to join the cause, and it was after I had found a new home that I thought, 'What better person to find once more than dear old Lila? She would simply love to know that I am still alive and well enough to provide something interesting for her.'
"And thus here I am! Or rather, here we are. Fate certainly has a hand dealt for us~" He separated his hands and arms into what looked like a welcoming gesture. "Tell me my old friend is not so busy as to not have time for me! Tell me she isn't seeing someone else." Ah, the teases just kept coming forth! BC truly was a theatrical little black cat.

"It seems stupidity runs rampant in our society - and stupidity does not often lead to challenging adversary's" she told him with a long suffering sigh, as though this was a very distressing thing or her to deal with, no matter the results it had for her poor targets. She did however perk up somewhat at his words, an interesting job? Anything to send apathy packing and this Red eyed beast had certainly had lofty goals goals before, Goals that would if nothing else lead to a few interesting trials along the way.
"Well there was a nice ginger fellow I was supposed to meet" She told him in an offhanded manner, responding to his teasing with her own, letting her gaze roam across the street as though she was actually searching for this other creature before glancing at him out of the corner of her eye "But doubtless he has less to offer and ginger is such an unflattering color" She finally concluded with a slight smile.

"Ginger!" He gave a laugh at the thought. "Pure redheads are dying out, I suppose; the human ones are in any case. How noble of you, Lila~" he purred, letting his arms fall back to his sides. "Well I shan't keep you from your date for long; my story is far too long after all, you would be bored with the details. So I shall make this brief: still interested in taking out the human oppressors? Or do you prefer to . . . continue taking out your frustration upon the more idiotic of our race? I don't have a cent on me for pay of course, nor any food, but I could give you a higher position than most could ever reach and central headquarters to lodge in."

Lila shook her head slightly - it was nice she supposed to see that some things in life never really changed. The sun always rose, the stupid always reproduced and Redeyes was alway on a quest of revolution. Lila wasn't sure how much of a chance this revolution stood - but she harbored no warm and fuzzy feelings for the humans, one hand absently fingering the scar at her neck as these thoughts flickered through her mind.
It didn't seem like much of a decision to make in the end, besides she owed him far more then a bit of work for his cause after that little stint with The Facility a while back. Things could very well have turned out differently if hadn't done what he had that day, Lila might be a mercenary but she liked to think she was one with some honor and she owed this black extravagant little cat her loyalty. Suddenly aware that she was fingering her scar she glowered and crossed her arms, irritated at that brief lapse and the mental insight it no doubt showed. "He was too orange tinted for my tastes anyways" She told him with a slight huff "And I'm perfectly capable of feeding myself" she continued, a clear indication that she'd already accepted his proposition even if she hadn't come out and said so.
"A central place to work from would be a nice change...and knowing your penchant for fore planning which position had you thought to offer me my Onyx friend?" She questioned him after a few moments pause her attention once more focused completely on the black cat.

He tapped his chin in thought. "A good question. It depends on how you see yourself best as. A mercenary can be a jack of all trades I imagine, thouh you've proven yourself to be more of a . . . force than a person." The black cat chuckled. "I've missed your nags after so many months in that dreadful place, so there isn't any question that you would work aboveground with me. That is, unless you prefer to work underground in the sewers with an agent of chaos and his lover." Which seemed about as likely as her growing to like rain.
"I'm planning on the territory to have a heirarchy of power. Warriors, assassins, spies, and healers would make up the majority of the underclasses, if their wild spirit is freed at least. Three cats would head the departments beneath each master: a Guildmaster, the cat that procures and reports information to El and I, sows false reports to other spying territories, and controls the assassins and spies; a General, the cat that will head our warriors and keep them in shape; or a Head Cleric, but I won't bore you with that. Unless you've gained that sort of knowledge?" he posed, chuckling.
"Truly, it depends on if you are comfortable with a seat of power. I would not suffer greatly if you chose to be one of the top three positions after all, nor would I be disappointed if you decided to continue as only one of the many."

Lila wasn't sure which part of his 'unless' scenario turned her off more - the sewer bit or the agent of chaos bit, in any case his mental premonition of her distaste for this option was spot on and she confirmed it with a slight wrinkling of her nose at the mere thought. That option didn't even deserve a response on her part and so she ignored it.
Focusing on the more important decision at hand, tail tapping a staccato beat as she pondered her options, Lila considered each side of the equation - true she could train others to fight and she knew tactics - even if such a position would require dealing with numerous felines - half of which would most likely be more brute and less brain...on the other hand she could always opt to deal with the wiser of the fighters. Assassins and spies were generally smarter then their foot soldier brethren - but also sometimes to smart for their own good - it was so irritating when they got delusions of grandeur and you had to hunt them down when they turned on you. Wretched beasts. "Both options are indeed alluring" she admitted after a bit of thought "and each have both their pro's and cons... However I believe I could serve you best by ensuring your warriors function as they should. The information you will glean does you no good if your minions are incapable of acting on it"

"Good, good!" He clapped his hands delightedly. "I wouldn't have it any other way. No doubt being a General will come to you easily, Lila, as you'll get to order all the little minions about without having to deal with all that red tape; your favorite pastime~" The ordering bit or the red tape bit, he didn't clarify. The black cat's eyes gleamed mischievously, and his tail flicked with devlish intent as he turned from Lila to face the pouring rain with new optimism. "Good, good . . . Doesn't that make your day, Lila? Meeting old friends, returning to old plans, concocting future ones, getting a new position in life? Not even a little bit of rain can ruin it, I think. Really, it's good to see you haven't died in the past several months."

Lila shook her head a little and gave him a somewhat amused look. He sounded so very pleased - with himself or with the way things had gone she wasn't completely sure, but knowing him a little bit of both. "I'm sure it will be both enjoyable and beneficial" she agreed before looking out into the rain herself, which she noted with a brief moment of distaste looked as though it was fated to continue for a good bit longer.
"I do try not to make that a habit, it's a bit of an inconvenience dying" she told him dryly, really...like she'd let herself get killed so easily. With the way things had been going lately she'd sooner die of a lightning strike in this rainstorm then be mortally wounded by any of her targets. What a sad place this was becoming, where had the days of challenge and intrigue gone? Hopefully to the future now that she'd signed on with Red Eyes again."But.." she agreed after a few moments pause "It is good to see you again" she hadn't truly doubted his ability to escape - but after some time had gone by without a speck of news she had started to wonder...just a bit.
