He sat almost awkwardly outside of the den he knew Oya was sleeping in. he had foreseen this day long before she had come and he knew that once she was settled, once she had decided to stay that he would sit on this spot, the sun hot on his back, he remembered the hot sun, he couldn't possibly remember it it had never happened before. He didn't remember feeling this nervous. He knew what was about to happen, he knew what he had to say. he just had to wait here.
Biting his bottom lip he rehearsed the lines in his head, he was awake, he knew that, he didn't remember feeling quite this hot. The sun was very hot on his back and he was very nervous. He was about to do that which he knew he had to, there would be something missing in his life if he didn't. In fact his life couldn't possibly go on without this very moment, without this very day. the sun was hot on his back and he knew he was about to ask Oya to marry him. He'd done it at least a hundred times, he just didn't remember the sun being this hot.

Oya yawned and stretched out, rolling over once in her den. She could hear lions outside, moving around and doing things... not something she was used to, especially since she had struck out on her own. But she had no family here, just her new friend... and he was a bit of an odd duck. She spent a good half of her day straightening him out.
Though she liked straightening him out. Keeping him in line was like a game, in a weird way. Well, a simple way. She liked mothering people, only this time it was just someone who wasn't a member of her family. And she liked him. He had been nothing but sweet... though a little day-dreamy. Very day-dreamy. But that was sort of his charm. They balanced each other well. He made her feel assured, since he always knew what would happen... and she kept him from walking off cliffs because he thought he was dreaming.

Clearing his throat roughly the khaki male continued to wait. he could hear he removing about inside, he knew she was about to get up and he would have to run his lines past her. It was a lot of fun being around Oya,s he confirmed to him every day that he was awake, that his dream had gone and anything else he dreamed of this day was not premonition, it was fact. he liked fact, his premonitions could be changed due to the spontaneity of creatures. Oya was very spontaneous and he needed her just as much as she needed him.
"Oya." he calls, quietly, his toes moving the dirt around them in his nervousness. the sun was really hot, should he ask to go in? Would being in a dark den make this easier? He didn't think so, he stayed glued to to the spot, he needed her to come to him. "are you awake?" he knew the answer but he needed her to say it. Why was it so hot out here? His dreams had never quite touched on just how hot it would be proposing to someone.

Oya stuck her head out of the darkness, only a few inches from his face, "I'm awake, relax." She laughed a bit, "You shouldn't worry about me, you're the one who walks into trees, not me." She mentioned, slipping out of the den and yawning, "Is it really the morning already? I keep thinking I should be the one who should be asleep..." She mentioned, stretching out again. She noticed he was acting a little odd... but he was really odd. In general. It was what she liked most about him.
"Should we go hunting?" She asked thoughtfully, thinking about what they could have for breakfast. She was getting a lot better at hunting, where once she had just generally been a healer. This still worked though. "If we get out far enough we might be able to find something good..."

"Uhm..No..I have to ask you something important." His brow creases and he licks his lips nervously, why was his mouth so dry. "Uhm, we can't hunt till later the herds the other side of the lands right now it'll move closer to us by late afternoon." Okay, that was random, he often knew were the herds were sure, but he was stalling. He didn't remember stalling before.
He didn't want to stall, he was perfectly sure about what would happen next, that it needed to happen but his throat felt so dry and the sun was so hot. He leaned forwards and licked the tip of her nose with a smile. "I don't think I'v walked in to a tree recently." He grins a slightly foolish grin clearing his throat again. "I have something very important to ask you.."he trails off looking at his dusty paws for a moment wondering where to start this whole conversation off exactly.

Oya tilted her head, listening to him talk before she nodded her head, "Oh, okay then. We'll go later and take a look." She nodded. Good to be enthusiastic about hunting, in the long run. Plus, with her getting better at it, it was actually fairly exciting! She had always fretted about these things before. Traveling had been a big help.
"And yes, you haven't walked into a tree because I keep redirecting you." She pointed out, grinning widley. He seemed to be a little weirder than usual though, and that worried her. More than a little. She didn't like it when things were off with him.... with him being her only real friend and all. "Something important? What is it? Is there something wrong?"

"No, nothing is wrong." He smiles a light gentle smile. "I'v told you before I dreamed about you coming? Well I didn't tell you all of what I dreamed about because I knew you'd be a bit freaked out at first." He rambled trying to get his story straight. He knew that this time was the time when he would tell her of everything he had dreamed. Well almost everything.
"I um, I dreamed about you a lot in the weeks before I sat and waited for you, some of it was too far in the future but i knew you were there, some where in the dusty haze I could feel you sitting near by, or hear you speaking. It's odd knowing someones voice before you've ever met them." His ears flickered and he turned his watery green eyes to the sky as if he was looking for inspiration from the few wispy clouds that scudded on by.
"Truth is, I love you deeply Oya, I have since before I met you, when I knew you were coming I knew I would love you and that you would stay here and help me, in more ways than one. It's almost strange having you here, as a solid person, not just a flickering dream." He blinks owlishly looking to her for a response, he wasn't quite to the point yet but he needed to see her reaction to his words.

Oya stared a moment, tilting her head as she listened to him. He loved her? He had loved her... before he had even met her? Now if that wasn't putting your faith in a strange place, she wasn't sure what was. But still, when he said the words, she felt herself blush and her body tremble a little. And in... well, sort of a good way. What did that mean?
"You...? How can you just say that?" She whispered, looking down, "You don't really know me... all you know is you will do something... and how can you know that anyway?" She was mumbling now, blushing even worse now than she had been before, "I mean I... I like you and I want to get to know you... and I... I'm just. I'm gunna sit here and be silent for a second."
Yeah. She needed to sit down. She was already sitting down. This was... this was weird.

The dark maned male let out a long heavy sigh, he had a feeling this was going to be her response. Taking courage he lifts a paw and tips her head up, looking in to her eyes, his own glassy, watery green orbs holding hers. "You don't understand, I do know you. We've had conversations, long, endless conversations that last in to the night and until the birds raise the next day. We've spoken of everything from your parents to your life before you came here. I know, I know these conversations haven't happened yet, but they have for me. I can remember them, every word you say to me every lilt of your voice. Since you arrived, you've stuck with me, I promised myself I would wait for the day I was supposed to speak to you so you would accept what i say is truth."
He flicks his tail a little , his ears twitching in his dark mane, a rough clearance of his throat pulling his eyes from hers for a moment. "It has been a lifetime for me, waiting for you to come, waiting to tell you how I have felt from that very first dream of you. Knowing you were coming, knowing it would change my life forever. Knowing I would finally love someone as I have never loved someone before. I have been waiting for you Oya, I don't know truly how long but I know that without you my life will have no meaning. I love you, I have loved you for a very long time."

Oya stared a moment longer now. That sounded good. Like, really good, in that romantic-swept-off-your-feet-kind of way. This was bizzar, and she never would have thought about this... any of this. But he said all the things she wanted to hear. That she was meant to be there, with him, somehow. He was right about everything, usually, as it was. When he wasn't walking off cliffs anyway. "...Thank you... for everything you just...Abiona..." She whispered his name and smiled, "I just... you know all this stuff. I want to have these conversations with you. I want to experience them too. I want to know you like you know me."
And she wanted to know him. She wanted to know him bad. "You're so... so funny, and not like anyone I've ever met before. You're not normal... well, I guess no one is really normal. But you're special. Really genuinly special. And I want to know you, more than anything else... I want to know you. Because I really want to fall in love with you, and experience all these things. But can... can I experience them too?"

The khaki lion smiles a quiet smile and touches her nose with his own 'We have a lot of conversations to be had, I need to hear teem again just as much as you need to hear them for the first time." He smiles a genuine smile and licks the tip of her nose. "I promise, we have a lot of talking to do." He takes a breath and pulls a black feather from his mane, he'd attached a little stone of green glass to it using a small length of cord, holding it out to her he smiles.
"He feather of a raven and a bead as green as my eyes." He chuckles, reciting something he had clearly heard her say "I'm sorry, that was your line." He grins playfully, taking a deep breath "Please, take it and stay with me forever, join me as my wife and I promise you I will always be here beside you, saying all the wrong things at all the right times." He looks down at the soft tan female, his deep watery green eyes never leaving her.

Oya looked up at him, then smiled, leaning forward and nuzzling him fondly, "You're a big dumb... adorable, sweet, kind... thing." She told him, meaning pretty much every word, "I'm really looking forward to falling in love you you. I mean it... you know? And I accept your gift... and I'll stay with you forever. As long as you promuse that this is for real. It will all really happen."
Oya smiled even wider then, "I had all these funny thoughts, when I was a child, about what it would be like. When I met my special someone and he whisked me away to a life of... something or other. Except I whisked myself away, and you more... grounded me in one place. Which is just as important... maybe more important, in the long run. Thanks for grounding me."

Abiona chuckles wrapping a paw around her shoulders and pulling her close in to his body. "We'll be having a long conversation right after we eat tonight. I promise." giving an affirmative nod he grooms her tuft of head fur and purrs happily. "Come on, we'll go and relax in the shade and you can drill me." He grins playfully nuzzling her ears happily. This couldn't have gone better and he knew what the future would hold, more or less. The biggest, most important part was confirmed, he would spend the rest of his days with Oya and that was more than he could ask for in this world or the next.
