My and my husband tried for a baby early this month..I also recently got a job.
I still haven't had my period yet, I'm over due 5 days. I had done 5 test, from the best brand. and they all told me I was negative.
I'm thinking to check with my doctor.

I wonder if that happened to anyone?

I wouldn't mind if I am pregnant. but I still wonder why it's causing that.. sweatdrop

To not have your period? Being very emotional may slow down the period process, due from either stress or some other strong emotion, could be that. You should check again in a week and see if it might read positive, if not, then your probably not pregnant.

Val is right. Late periods are extremely common and not always due to pregnancy. Stress is often the culprit. And if you just got a new job and decided to start trying for a baby, that certainly can be stressful. But certain medications, changes in weight, and more can all have an impact on our cycles too.

So wait a week. Take another test if you still don't have your period at that time. If you're not sure whether or not you're doing the test correctly, you can visit your doctor for a blood pregnancy test. In the meantime, try to relax.

(Now this next part might sound rude. I don't mean it to be rude though. I just want to make sure you two area ready, have thought about this, and have done your research, and that your baby will get the start the he or she deserves! smile )

Knowing about your cycle, what can make you late, when you need to see a doctor, etc. is sort of Female Stuff 101. If you don't know that stuff, there is a good chance that there is a lot of Baby Stuff 101 that you two don't know yet, and that's some really important stuff.

So make sure you have done your research. Make sure you have talked to an ob-gyn about getting pregnant and any medications you are taking, even if they're over the counter medications. Make sure you are eating right and taking prenatal vitamins. Avoid cigarettes and alcohol. That's all stuff you should be doing before you even start trying to get pregnant.

Also make sure you two have thought this through in other areas as well. For example, do you need the money from your new job? Will you get maternity leave at your new job? Or do you plan on just leaving when you are farther along? Can you afford to leave the job? Do you have health insurance? Can the baby be added to it?

So those are all things to think about. And the sooner, the better. Because fairly simple things like diet, regular doctor checkups, and vitamins can actually be the difference between life or death when it comes to babies!

I'd recommend signing up for a pregnancy newsletter or getting some recent pregnancy magazines from your local library. Newsletters and magazines can be a great way to get a little information, to remind yourself of things you want to do more research on, to point out possible issues you wouldn't have even thought of, etc.

That is really helpful, thank you! smile

We been talking about kids for a while now. We know we are young, I'm 27 and his going to be 26.
We known each other for 6 years. been great and still going great. We did talk about how we would take care of bills and thigns like that since I'm here on a spouse visa I have to renew it in a few years, that was to think about. and the moving back to Canada.
From England, we got NHS like in Canada, free health plan. good thing ym hubby got a good job! biggrin

I started to have a slight bleeding today.. and I'm having bad cramps but nothing yet. I took another test this mornign and I'm negative, but I'm planning on calling the nurse and ask her question. maybe go for a check under there aswell.
We have mid-wife over here. Doctor will recomend you to them.

Luckily I don't smoke,I hate cigs...lol.. I drink occasionaly when there's events but it's rare.. i rather stay home, do my laundry, clean, cook when I get from work.
I know about the regular check up with the midwife. and you can have your first baby ultrasound at 15 months.
It's a lot of preps. and I know kids in life cost expensive.

if I am not pregnant this month, I might let it just happen naturally. I need to work on my body. meaning loosing weight and be more healthy. I am a bit over weight...

I'm pretty sure I do read the test right. as it say on the paper. I got those Clear blue stick. 6 days before period time. and 2 blue bar is pregnant. just oen on the right is not pregnant. mine was 1 bar. so it was negative. I kept staring. and my husband was around wondering what was the result. we sigh when nothing happen but I say We'll just let it happen. it it takes 2 months, or 2 years we'll take it easy smile

So hopefully I get my period this month and I can start brand new. with excersicing and getting ready. if i do end up pregnant. I will do my best to have a healthy baby.

You opened my eyes. more question got into my mind. hehe

thank you for your help!
