While I was browsing their Pokemon threads, trying to find one where I could hang out, trade, etc, I found this Pokemon Zodiac that someone take up with.
This is how it works:
First, you just a number place that matches the year you were born.
#0 - 80, 85, 90, 95, 00
#1 - 81, 86, 91, 96, 01
#2 - 82, 87, 92, 97, 02
#3 - 83, 88, 93, 98, 03
#4 - 84, 89, 94, 99, 04
This means that, if you were born in the year 1992, you would be choosing a Pokemon that's index number was #2xx. Elekid would be an option for someone born in 1992, because it's index number is #239.
In the case that your year doesn't have your type, go down an index number. If you were a number #4xx, you go down to #3xx. If you were a number #0xx, you go down to #4xx.
EDIT: Everyone has to do over their Pokemon now! I've included the #4xx index numbers! Have fun! xD
Second, you choose your Pokemon type.
Jan. 1-21: Ice
Jan 22- Feb. 11: Steel
Feb. 12- Mar. 4: Flying
Mar. 5- 24: Normal
Mar. 25- April. 15: Grass
April 16-may 6: Bug
May 7-27: Ground
May 28- June 17: Rock
June-18- July 8: Water
July 9-29: Fire
July 30- Aug.19: Electric
Aug. 20- Sept. 10: Dragon
Sep. 11-Oct. 1: Dark
Oct.2- 22: Ghost
Oct. 23- Nov. 12: Poison
Nov. 13- Dec. 6: Psychic
Dec.7-31: Fight
So, if someone was born in June 2, 1992, they would be picking any Pokemon from that has an index number of #0xx, and had Rock as their only, first, or second element. It doesn't matter whether which one it is, as long as it has Rock as one of it's elements.
Last, but not least, you use the date of your birth as a counter. Using June 2 as our example, the Pokemon would be Graveler. It is the second rock type in the #0xx index.
Now, there are times when there isn't enough Pokemon in the index you need. Let's say, we had an October 20, 1992 birth date. That would make it a #0xx index for Ghost type. Wait! There are only 3 Ghost type in the #0xx, and we need to count 20!
What we do here, is simply recount the Pokemon. Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Gastly, Haunter, Gengar.... Until we reach twenty. This would make an October 20, 1992 birth date a Haunter.
I like to use Bulbapedia because you can select the element you need, and it listed all the Pokemon with that element, and their index number.
