*Sweeps into the shop with several rolls of paper, clearly nervous as his curls are in dissaray about his face* They'll be here in a few moments, I owled Justus the directions -- here, I've had him draw up a few different views of the dress--

*Scowls and takes the drawings from Circi, rolling her eyes before she looks them over*

You ought to go freshen up, then.

Freshen up? *Appears startled* Do I need to?

*Sets the drawings aside, noting to herself the design was extremely simple to accomplish before she stepped in front of him. Reaches up with a flawlessly manicured hand, righting the few curls that had gone astray.*

There.

"Are we really sure we want to do this?" Devlin asked for what had to be the billionth time, arms crossed as he walked down the street in plaid shorts and a red t-shirt, nervously kicking at small pebbles on the pavement and doing his best not to look sullen and glum.

Don't get him wrong, he was excited about dresses, kind of excited about having help from someone who had really been there.... but he was still far from comfortable with Circinus knowing, and having his friend, Abygale know now was making him feel sick to his stomach. Once they showed up there was no going back.

"Because..."

"It's going to be fine, Dev. I promise." Justus only felt somewhat at ease. The Professor had an interest in them that he didn't fully trust, however the very fact that he was so interested in them- or at least Devlin- had an oddly calming effect on his nerves. Professor Bulstrode, he thought, would not let anything happen to shatter Devlin, would not have them go to this woman unless he trusted her explicitly. Still, he wore an expression of polite disdain as the shop appeared in front of them. The expression wasn't so much out of worry, as it was a normal look for him.

"We're already here, Dev. There's no going back now." He said, as he pushed open the door to the shop, ushering a still-reluctant Devlin inside.

"I.." Devlin clamped his lips together as they went into the shop, keeping his eyes on the floor for a few moments before darting them upwards. Without realizing it he had clamped himself onto Justus' arm the moment they were out of public sight.

"Okay."

*Seems to relax beneath Abygale's swift fingers, assured that his appearance was completely righted by her always flawlessly clean hands - her skin smelled faintly of vanilla soap and its scent furthered his calm*

Oh! *Turns as the door opens, a smile unfolding on his handsome features* Abygale, these are my students, Justus Starkey and Devlin Wildsmith. ^___^

Devlin will look perfect in the dress, don't you think? Kekeke~

*Seems vaguely flustered for a moment before it's hidden by a casual, catty indifference. Offers a smile to the boys none the less, slightly stepping around them to flip the shop's sign to Closed.*

Pleasure to meet you.

"Yes, a pleasure." Justus said, eyebrows raising slightly in surprise as he gave Abygale a only slightly impolite once over.

"The dress isn't quite........ I'm not as good at designing them as Devlin is." He said, not offering an explanation as to why Devlin was not the one to make it. "We're supposed to be doing a shoot for a jewelry designer.... they actually sent us the product, instead of having me shop it in the photographs later."

That was a rather big deal, considering the 'product' consisted of a very expensive pair of earrings and necklace made entirely from small diamonds, gold, and a few other precious gems. Justus reached in his carry-along bag and pulled the box out.

"However I was hoping you could help us with it." He was interested to see what she might do to the design, if she was willing. He had to test her to see if she was as good as Circinus said, after all.

"..'lo." Devlin said, shyly, quietly, looking around the shop timidly- an abrupt change from how obnoxious and boyish he'd been acting before they arrived.

Devlin flushed prettily in shame as Justus mentioned the dress, but was given a reassuring squeeze by the other boy. He hadn't been able to draw anything lately, putting more effort into Quidditch, roughhousing, and playing pranks to offset his nerves about the entire situation, which was made only worse because he knew Abygale.

He'd met her before, and thought she was a nice woman- but he was terrified she'd let something slip to Micah. And then he was afraid Micah'd let something slip accidentally to the others, and then it'd be all over.

His parents would know. They'd disown him. They'd treat him like he didn't exist and never want to see him again. This terrified him, even though deep down he wasn't sure if that would actually even happen.

*Goes back over to the drawings, inspecting them before handing them back to Justus*

I think it may look better with richer accents.. I have my fabrics just in the other room if you wanted to have a look.

Perhaps, adding and taking from each design...we'll be able to make something simple and elegant.. I don't see a need for a princess gown or anything of the sort.

*Glances over to Devlin, studying his features like one would a painting before she looked back to Justus* He's got a lean body type, anything overly draping or ruffled would make him look awkward, so maybe silks?

Justus was impressed, and relieved. They certainly were not working with an amateur, like the last person they'd had make them a dress. Horrible.

"Exactly." He said, eying Abygale again and giving a small, pleased smile. He always enjoyed it when adults actually knew what they were doing. "Silk would be wonderful. And the client requested something elegant and simple that wouldn't, of course, take the spotlight from the jewelry."

Justus coaxed one of Devlin's clinging hand's loose until he could grab it, casually rubbing his fingers across the other boy's to help Dev loosen up a bit. "We'd love to take a look at what you have."

Realizing he hadn't quite acknowledged the Professor's presence- though he'd just really been waiting until business was under way- Justus gave Circinus a polite nod- and his own once over, casually letting his eyes linger for a few moments before turning his attention back to Abygale.

Devlin stood up a bit straighter as Abygale looked him over, doing it automatically as it was something he was used to.

Her words bloomed images in his mind and he actually looked more interested, casually touching Justus' relaxing fingers back and gradually calming down.

"Silks are my favourites." He said, flushing again, and looked a bit more around the shop, taking in the sights- she really had some beautiful merchandise up.
