History:
Jamais was born to a family with no children; her father had hoped she would be a boy when she was born. When she was born her father was sorely disappointed, so when he was home with his family he spent time raising her like the other boys. Her mother knew Jamais’ father’s wishes and raised her to the best of her abilities like one would a son. Often times her mother would let her play with the boys around their little area as well.

However, it was Jamais’ grandfather that got her interested into the Ancient Craft, he was old and eccentric and knew how well she loved to tinker just by the fact she use to try to take apart things he’d found from the old world. He would occasionally sneak her off to teach her how he learned to tinker on the items and make new things or try to fix the old things. He started her on more simple things something that wouldn’t take a lot to get working but if it was possibly done wrong it wouldn’t blow up in her face and actually hurt her. He didn’t want to explain how she got hurt to her mother, since he knew Jam’s mother didn’t really approve of his hobby either.

When Jamais was old enough, she traveled with a small caravan to Trine, to study and try to become a candidate as a dragon rider. She hopes she can impress and write to tell her grandfather, as his dreams of having become one have long since pass. She knows it’s unlikely she’ll ever impress his favorite dragon color but she can hope to impress something for his sake, as she greatly respects him, as a teacher and family member.

Description:
Jamais looks older than she is, by about two years. Tall and lanky, she looks like she’d be all elbows and knees but she’s really not, just starting to get blessed. Her hair is black, to her shoulders and often times’ covers one eye. However she dyes ‘panels’ into it through various means achieving different colors. Often times when the black starts to grow back she’s finding something new to start the dying process with. She’s learned a little from a friend she met about making dyes. Her skin is slightly tanned, but she’d still be considered pale to most, her eyes appear as grey in color, but they may actually be a hazel with too many flecks of grey in them, as there’s a small shimmer of gold in it.

Personality:
Jamais is a little rough around the edges she loves spats and spars, despite never actually starting them. She often times acts like the innocent little angel, and she knows it’s not allowed but she can’t help when there’s a fight itching to break out she’s just there to help out a bit. However, she’s also not afraid to get her hands dirty if something needs doing and it’s dirty she’s more than happy to help, the dirtier the better, she likes to try to be one of the guys. Nothing actually deters her from trying.

Despite her rough nature and love to get things done no matter how dirty the job is she’s also protective of her friends, those that she actually calls friends, she comes off as aloft, snooty or downright mean to most people, but when you break that outer shell, no matter how snappy she can be she’s always there by your side. Even people she doesn’t know, if they’re being bullied for whatever reason she’s often there to take up for them. It’s possible this is for her love of scrapes but she believes if you’re man enough to walk all over someone that won’t defend themselves, then your man enough to take her on.
