The play ground looked practically abandoned. No children were to be found sliding down the slide, or making sandcastles in the sandbox. In fact it was almost as if human life didn't touch this place, except for the fact that a single little girl sat on the swingset. Remi stood out brightly against all the gray metal of the equipment. Her dress a light lavender swayed back and forth with the swing, but her face was covered in a frown. She wasn't sure why, but she was sure something was wrong. Now why couldn't she think of it?

It was another day of great escape from magic lessons. Juno had been going on and on about how there had to be a balance and other philosophies that bored the moon child. It had taken an hour before Phoebe was able to slip away while her guardian took a call from a sister witch. That was all that the little girl needed before she ran out of the building.
As always, Phoebe made her way to the park. There were always interesting, new people for her to meet there even if it wasn't always by moonlight. But strangely enough the park was empty, nearly empty, when the girl arrived.
All the same it was a stranger, a new friend for Phoebe. The girl skipped her way over to the other girl before slowing to a stealthy walk. The other girl's pretty face was adorned with a frown, turning Phoebe's own smile away.
"You know you'll get wrinkles if you keep frowning like that."

"Huh?" Lifting her head Remi gave a small sheepish smile which quickly turned happier at the company. She really didn't feel like being alone right now anyway, she kept getting this strange feeling like she was being watched and a cold shiver ran down her spine.
"I normally don't frown at all, it's very weird and I don't know why I'm unhappy now anyway!" Smiling brightly again she hopped out of the swing and enthusiastically put her hand out, the height difference between them very obvious. "My names Remi!"
Of course even with the happiness she actually felt she could still feel the hair on the back of her neck prickle like something was very wrong and that she was forgetting a very important detail that needed to be remembered.

"Hmm... well, you don't look unhappy now," the moon child flashed Remi a bright pearly smile, "I'm Phoebe."
There was something off about the other girl. No the girl exactly, but something around the girl perhaps? It was starting to nag Phoebe, her eyes darting around the surroundings. What was it? She nearly snarled in frustration but remembered to stay remain calm. It wouldn't do to unnerve Remi with her own frustrations.
Still... there was something. She would figure it out and Phoebe had a feeling that whatever it was, it might be the reason why Remi looked upset. Should have paid more attention during lessons with Juno, the child thought to herself as she refocused on the new girl.
"Why are you unhappy?"

Giggling slightly Remi nodded her head trying to force her normal bubbly happiness to surface instead of this semi false one. Phoebe didn't deserve to be treated falsely! "It's nice to meet you Phoebe! I was feeling kinda lonely here since no one seems to be around..." Glancing around the feeling of being watched increased and she shivered lightly, checking to make sure Neena was still sleeping in the tree the sight of the blue tail hanging down reassuring her that if she as really watched it was probably her aunt doing so. "But now that you're here I don't have to play alone anymore!"
"Oh....I........I really don't know." Frowning again she bit at her lower lip, her head hanging and eyes instantly focused on her feet she squirmed a bit under the taller girls watchful look. Sure Phoebe probably didn't mean any harm but that's what she thought about that one Malice girl before she had stormed off and been so mean to her.
