Demo 6:23 pm
(6:23:16 PM): Faizah lay sprawled out on a rock, counting the toes on her paws, forwards, then backwards. Mother and father were hunting, which meant she had time to herself... but when mother and father were away, things were boring. Especially when they said they weren't bringing back their prey alive. Faizah liked it when they brought things back alive, to play with, not to eat.

"Boring..." She mumbled, sitting up and peering over the walk to her little collection below her. Eyes, from creatures she had managed to capture. Mostly small creatures, and very few had survived the process... but mommy and daddy had been so impressed with her, yes they had!

"Death, I'm so bored." She said to her imaginary friend, who she spoke to often when her parents and siblings weren't around. It was not polite to talk to someone who wasn't there, when in the presense of people who were. That was what her mother had told her. MOther was always right.

1/3 6:51 pm
(6:51:28 PM): Veaj had been pacing off on his own. Bordom hadn't been a problem. His own thoughts were enough to keep him occupied while his parents were out. Things rarely worked out well when he put too much faith in last moment inspiration. All of the best plans were premeditated.

The only problem was that he had no one to bounce ideas off of. His siblings seemed to be more intrested in physical practice and the small creatures they often abused couldn't give feedback. They'd cower, they'd squeal, they'd die, but that wasn't enough.

But tell me; How does it make you feel?

He'd returned home only because he had no where else to go. When he heared his sister talking to himself he frowned.

"You know, mother hates it when you talk to him," he teased. He'd noticed her and mom having a word about it a couple times. More then that he was unsure. "And why 'Death'? I figured you'd be more creative."

Demo 6:56 pm
(6:56:57 PM): Faizah rolled over, smiling at her brother darkly, "Death isn't a boy, silly. Death is a girl." She told him, matter-of-factly, "And I talk to death because we have a little game, don't you see? Every time I kill something, Death gets a point, every time I leave it alive, I get a point. Death is winning so far, but I'm getting better at the game." And she intended to be the best at the game. Better, even, than her parents, if she could.

She stood up, stretching a little, "And mommy doesn't mind unless I talk to Death in front of other people. Talking to Death should be done in private, don't you think?" She mentioned, tilting her head pleasently.

"What are you doing brother? Why wandering around out here?" She asked, wandering over towards him, pretending Death wasn't there. But Death was always there.

1/3 7:08 pm
(7:08:17 PM): As she got up to move he caught sight of her writhing collection and involentarily took a step back. It was grotesque what she did. The gore invited flies. Flies, maggots. He was reading into things too much now and his imagination bothered him as much as the haphazard way she went about her exchange with death.

He made a note. Keep it clean. Stay in control. Don't parley with death.

"Same as you, I suppose. Only less chatter," he wasn't sure if he wanted her to know about his desier to find a better playmate. For all he knew she'd offer to help.

Demo 7:14 pm
(7:14:22 PM): Faizah tilted her head, following his eyesight towards her collection of eyeballs and entrails, "You like my pretties? I wish there was a pretty place I could keep them, so they'd say pretty... but they turn black and mushy so fast. Such a shame." She mentioned, pouting a little, but her eyes glowed a little. She loved the pretty eyes... but mother kept telling her she had to be careful.

Normal creatures would think it was strange, that she wanted to keep their eyes for herself. She should only tell normal creatures that if she intended to keep those eyes.

"I'm not so chatty." Faizah pouted a little, but reverted back to her happy-go-lucky attitude very quickly, "Are you as bored as I am?"

1/3 7:25 pm
(7:25:27 PM): "No," he answered curtly. "I'm having a blast. Never had so much fun in my life," his deadpan tone suggested otherwise.

Eyes... To each his own, but still. There was nothing attractive to him about an eye collection. Dead eyes quickly lost their colour. They didn't flick about as their owner took you in and they didn't contract in fear when they noticed you approaching.

These never would again.

Demo 7:31 pm
(7:31:38 PM): "Liar." She grinned at him, easily catching onto her brother's emotions. She was good at that, her mother said that. Faizah easily caught onto other people's feelings or emotions... but what she was, was incapable of understanding or feeling them herself. She knew what they meant and indicated... but she usually only felt two things. Glee and dissapointment. Nothing had made her angry. Yet.

"Such a bad liar!" She accused him of, straightening up a little and shaking her head, giggling under her breath, "Or are you being sarcastic, brother?" She asked, wiggling forward to sit next to him, "What? Don't like my collection? Squiemish?"

1/3 7:50 pm
(7:50:46 PM): Slowly he was catching on to her attempts to read him. He'd have to pay attention to that in the future. After all, it would detract from his games if he was so easily read by his victims. Since his sister was getting so good at it she might make a good standard.

"Neither and both," he said, glancing at the eyes again. "And I'm not squeamish. Just disapointed. There's no art to your work. None."

Demo 8:01 pm
(8:01:37 PM): Faizah pouted at that, her dislike of his words showing, "Excuse me?" No art. No art. This was it. That angry feeling. "The eyes are the window to the soul. I have your eyes, I have your soul. That's all that matters." Her dissapointment was catching up, but it was getting towards angry. She was, after all, a child.

"You think your mind games are prettier?" She tited her head, beginning to pace around her brother, like a shark, circling her prey, "Nothing you can see. Nothing you can hold. My eyes are beautiful, even when they never see again. My eyes are perfect, even when they're decaying."

1/3 8:07 pm
(8:07:16 PM): "And who are you parroting now?" he growled. He liked his sister. He really did. He just didn't know how to show it.

"Hardly matters. That isn't what they meant, you know," semantics, or maybe a matter of personal oppinion. "The pathway to the soul not the soul it's self!"

You could better tell how a person was thinking if you watched their eyes. You could get to know them, manipulate them, take their self, their soul.

Demo 8:16 pm
(8:16:23 PM): Faizah stopped, anger gone as fast as it came on, her moods swinging back and forth with ease, which could make it difficult to keep track of how she felt about it, "Parroting? Like a bird? I have bird eyes! They're hard to catch." She mentioned, trotting back over to her collection.

"Can't catch a soul. Can't hold it in your hands, silly brother. You can hold onto eyes though. Be the last thing they ever see..." She made a snatching motion with her claws, not far from his face, "Be what wakes them up in terror at night. That you'll be back to finish the job. Then you have their soul. Hm?" She laughed.

1/3 8:41 pm
(8:41:04 PM): He tried not to flinch as her claws approached his face. He knew she wouldn't do it. If she wanted to she'd had better oppertunities before just now. Besides. Mother wouldn't have been impressed. Despite his efforts though he moved back just a little.

"There's other ways, if you're not so single minded as to ignore them," he sighed. "You're eyes are starting to stink."
She liked her brother as well, loved her whole family. Loved their eyes.

Demo 8:44 pm
(8:44:12 PM): Faizah grinned, pleased she'd made him jump, but still not overly excited or upset over the entire affair, "Oh? Are they? I didn't notice them. I like the smell." She grinned, stretching out playfully, "And why would I want to do other things? I like my eyes best. Other parts are boring. I don't like other parts."

And she didn't. Other parts could be messier, bloodier, more irritating. She liked her eyeballs, liked that they watched her. The only thing they would ever see again, and even though those who had them were -mostly- still alive, what had last been seen out of those eyes... her, would never be seen by anyone else. Yes. She liked eyes.

1/3 8:55 pm
(8:55:57 PM): "Yeah, well just don't bring them with you when mother and father get back. I'd rather not be choking down the urge to vomit over dinner," they weren't really that bad. There were things that smelt worst.

"I don't think I'd ever want to own just a bit of someone, no matter how much importance I attributed to it."
PostPosted: Sat May 15, 2010 6:07 pm

Demo 9:01 pm
(9:01:03 PM): "I don't own just a bit. This is the part I take. But you take something like this... and they'll never forget you." Faizah grinned, "This is everything. This is all there is." She laughed loudlly, running beside her eyes and nuzzling them softly, "Or at least, it's my favorite part."

She laughed, "What do you want, brother? What parts make you happy?" She asked, tilting her head curiously at him, "Mommy doesn't keep any parts. She just destroys them and leaves them alive and scared. Daddy likes to talk to them while they do it. What do you like to do?"

1/3 9:07 pm
(9:07:19 PM): "I can't say I'm all sure yet," he muttered. "Saying what I don't like is easy. Refining what I do like is more complicated. I have to admit. I'm a bit jealous of how you've simplified things so neatly. Brutish maybe... but simple."

Demo 9:12 pm
Faizah tilted her head, "No, not brutish. Don't catagorize. Don't label. That's silly. Nothing brutish about what I do. It's all art. Just have to know what your art is." She chastized his wording again, shaking her paw at him, "So rude, brother. Nothing brutish about it. It's all an art. It's as much about hurting the body as hurting the mind."

She shook her head again, wandering back up to him, "Expand your mind. Not too much, or your brain will fall out. But you can't have catagories like that. Takes all the fun out of it. How do you think I found what I like so fast?" She laughed, bouncing back on her feet gingerly.

1/3 9:20 pm
(9:20:09 PM): "Hmm..." flawed logic he was sure, but even if she vocalized it perfectly she wouldn't listen anyways. Not that he was trying to change her. There was just only so long one could go on about gouged eyes.

"Our parents have been gone a long time... Think they're having fun?"

Demo 9:22 pm
(9:22:40 PM): "Mom and dad always have fun." Faizah shrugged her shohulders, "Unless they don't find anything. Then they'll be in a bad mood. But they always find something. Mom and dad are clever. Clever lions always find something good." She laughed, broken and fragmented speech coming out of her mouth as she got more excited.

"I want to be like them. Different, but like them." She announced with fondness.

1/3 9:31 pm
(9:31:51 PM): He smiled at that. Yeah, mom and dad sure were good roll models.

"You have to be your own you," he agreed. "They'll find something though, I'm sure of it."

He stood then streached, "Want to go wait for them? I think I know what direction they'll be coming from."
Demo 9:39 pm
(9:39:37 PM): Faizah looked thoughtful, then she nodded and smiled, "Yes, well, I am my own me. I just want to be successful. Like them." She raced ahead of him, obviously excited now, "Come on now. Let's go wait for them!"
