Demo Oya stretched her legs, well on her way to at last finding a different life than what she had expected. She almost missed the voices of her siblings and her father, but she had to continue on, she knew that. There was a whole world out there, and she wanted to see it all. But she couldn't see it if she was constantly worrying about her family. She had to get away and find things for herself. Make a new identity. Start again.
"Start again..." What a concept. She had been part of a nomadic group her whole life, learned everything from then, but it was time for something new. She needed to be on her own for a while, strike out and make her own way. She couldn't do that there, with her family and her friends. Yes, it was time to start again!
"Okay..." She nodded to herself, trotting along until the pride and all those she knew were far out of sight, and she was says away from then. Now she believed she could really do it. She could do it alone!
Seaki Light tipped ways were stained, cflaws were bloodied with the lifesource of his own body, but the cub only limped in his gait - from a previous injury? He didn't know yet. Despite this, the cub was humming lightly to a tune that his body seemed to sway to with each sloppy step. "I've to get away," he spoke to the world, as if confessing. His body suddenly convulsed, and he frowned. Apparently the loss of blood wasn't good. He took a deep breath, inching his way to a tree, still giving off the strange song in his head. Rest, perhaps, he cub moved to the trunk of the tree and pressed against it, wearily watching his surroundings, he let his body relax.
Demo Up ahead, Oya saw something... a small figure. At first she thought it was a wounded animal she might eat... but the closer she got, the more she realized that wasn't the case at all. It seemed to be a small... lion, like her, maybe? She couldn't tell. But he looked like he was bleeding, and quite badly. That made her nervous. A wounded child was never a good thing. "Excuse me...? Child?" She asked softly, padding forwards and trying to catch his attention, "What are you... are you hurt? You don't look well." No, not at all. He was bleeding, she could tell. She approached more quickly, getting beside him, unafaid of a child, "You are hurt. Here, let me help you..."
Seaki Slate gray eyes blinked up at the lioness. He smiled a bit. "Hello, Miss," he said in all politeness, shaking the dizziness from his head. Maybe the claws went a little too deep as he traced his mistakes and the beating from his half-sibling. Well, he had come out on top - mostly because he didn't feel most of it. "Hurt?" he questioned. Well, he was bleeding, but hurt? He didn't feel hurt? Did hurt not swell up in the chest like an angry rhino and barrel at your heart until you were sobbing? "Well, I don't feel hurt, Ma'am," he said, but his body shook. "I'm bleeding," he said in a whipser, to let her know. He hesitated before added. "I'm a little dizzy too," he confessed.
Demo Oya sat down beside him, shooing him to move as she liked, "Here. I had a brother and sister who liked to fight, and I was always looking after them when they were hurt... and if you bleed, then you are hurt. Don't be tough about it." She told him in her no-nonsense voice, obviously refusing to accept any other opinion than her own on that subject. The boy did seem nice and polite though. "Will you be alright if take care of your wounds here? If they get infected, they could get terrible..." She warned him, making sure to watch over the wound. It wasn't as bad as she had expected, but he had lost a lot of blood if he was feeling dizzy. She had been trained as a healer... but this was the first time she'd ever had to treat an injury like this. "Can I ask... who did this to you?" She asked, hoping he would be alright with answering her. She would hate for anything to happen to him, he seemed like such a nice polite young boy. She wouldn't let him go until she was sure that his wounds were properly taken care of anyway. Whether he liked it or not.
Seaki Chozi gave a small confused looked. "Hurt is went you bleed?" He asked, confused. He rocked a little, letting her look at the wounds. "Is infected bad?" he asked in worry. He shifted on the red-stained paws. He rocked on his feel, slate eyes squinting slightly in worry. "I-if you need to," he told her. "Mother usually ties them off after they stop bleeding, Ma'am. I left though," he shifted again, not wanted to look into the kind woman's eyes. Guilt? He felt it for leaving and being selfish. "This?" he gestured down at the bleeding cuts, thought they had tapered off and started to scab. "It's... p-punishment?" Self-inflicted as it was, he was punishing himself. "For my mistakes..."
Demo Oya looked at the poor little cub sadly, "Yes... hurt is when you bleed. You have to take care of things when they bleed, or they can get... they can get worse." She told him quietly, "But don't worry, I know how to make sure that they don't get worse and you don't get infected." She promised him, glancing around for herbs she could use. Eventually she found some close by, and brought them back for him. "I will be a mother to you today then. But I won't hurt you, I'll take care of you." She promised him, feeling her instincts kicking in. It was like taking care of all her brothers and sisters, back when she had been younger, and her father hadn't been able to take care of them. It wasn't his fault, he was just too... incompetent, she supposed. He had been a kind father, but not the brightest one. So she was the mother of her family. She looked at him sadly, "You don't deserve to be punished." She told him, her voice allowing no room to be contradicted, "You can make all the mistakes you need to make before you do the right thing when you're little. You don't deserve to be punished... not like this, by anyone. Scolded, maybe. But not punished like this."
Seaki Chozi tried to keep his body still as he watched the nice woman walk away to find something to stop an 'infection.' He watched her as she look in interest and wondered how she was able to pick out the, assumingly, right ones. He gave her a small nod. "My brother's the one who made me bleed... Hurt me, that is," he confessed. "Mother can't pun ish him, since he's not her son." The Cheeton chewed his tongue a bit, spiking the familiar taste of blood within his mouth. Should he tell her? It would be a rare day if he came across this woman again, and she was nice... "He blames my mother for Father leaving his mother. I shouldn't have been born," he rocked a little.
Demo Oya watched the young boy, and her heart went out to the poor thing. How awful, for anyone, to think that they weren't wanted by their own family. She tended to his wounds and listened to him speak, and she shook her head a little, feeling sorry for the young thing. No one deserved to be told anything as awful as that. "Well, if I ever met your brother, do you know what I'd do to him?" She asked, though she did not wait for him to answer, "I'd give him a good spanking like a good mother should, for anyone hurting their brothers and sisters, because no older brother should ever hurt his younger siblings. The older one is there to protect the young ones... and I'm sorry that he didn't do that for you. Because he should have." And there would be no convincing her otherwise. She was firm on that much. "And never let anyone say you didn't deserve to be born. If you're born, and you're still alive, then you have to walk on your four paws no matter what anyone tells you. If you manage to be born, then you deserve it. Simple as that. Your brother can blame whoever he likes... but he should never have been cruel to you, even if he believed that. And he shouldn't have believed it."
Seaki Chozi tried not to shift as she worked on his wounds. He gave a content sigh at the care and a small smile. This was so... different from what he was used to. He came from an odd family. A very large one, too. Chozi gave a giggle at the words about his brother, looking up at the pretty woman that tended to his hurts. "Thank you, Ma'am, for helping me," he said with the widest grin he could manage. He ws really thankful. "I don't know if I could thank you enough," he frowned.
Demo Oya shook her head a little, glad that she had made him smile as she worked on his wounds, keeping him together as best she could. She was glad he was getting so cheerful, and she intended to keep him as such, for as long as she could. ANd she didn't like the idea of leaving him alone. "You never need to thank me." Oya smiled, rubbing his head affectionatly once she finished with his wounds, "You can thank me if you want, but you never have to thank me. Just knowing you're safe is enough... you're a good kid. What's your name?" She asked him, hoping he'd be willing to answer. He had been straightforward about everything else. "I'm just glad you're safe..." And she meant it. Seeing children get hurt... well, she'd never seen it before. And she'd have a good long talk with his brother if she ever found him. Sit him down and not be interupted, for that matter.
Seaki Chozi wiggld with a smile. He hadn't actually felt any pain from the hurts, but it was nice to have someone care enough to help him. He gave a small nod. "I want to thank you, though. You're one of the kindest felines I've ever come across, Ma'am." He watched as she finished up the patchings and rocked back and forth a bith on his front paws, swaying again to the invisible tune he sometimes liked to sing. "My name's Chozi, Ma'am," Chozi said with a smile. He thought his name had a nice sound to it, and it curled around his tongue nicely. "If it's not rude, may I know your name, too?" He asked a bit shyly, hiding his slate eyes behind his tan bands for a moment. A small beaming smile came from under the bangs however. Being carefully cared for was nice. His mother was different. She would bind his wounds, but had no concept of pain with small scratches, and quite enjoyed claws tearing away her skin and fur. Chozi didn't know what to thing about that. Chozi chewed his tongue again, forcing clod from the pink muscle for a moment before looking back up at the female. "For what its worth though, I did fight him back," he confided in a whisper. "My uncle found us - gave us a tongue lashing, and I ran."
Demo Oya smiled back at him, happy she had made the poor thing happy. Even if it was only for a litle while. He seemed like a good kid, "Then I accept your thank you, and you're very welcome. Anything ever goes wrong for you kid, you come and see me. I'll watch out for you, I promise." "My name is Oya." She told him, "And I'm happy to meet you Chozi. More than anything, I'm happy I could help you." She smiled, meaning every word she spoke, "I'm glad I met you. So never let anyone tell you you don't deserve to be here. Because you made me very happy, Chozi. I'm glad I met you." She felt sorry for the boy... and she didn't much like the idea of leaving him there. It didn't really seem safe. Especially if this family was looking for him, "Well, your uncle shouldn't have yelled at you for this. Should have given your brother a stern word, and then taken care of you. And I'll tell him that myself if I ever see him." She had a word or two she'd like to say to this boy's family. None of them pleasent. "Do you have anywhere to go...?" She asked, concerned for him
Seaki "Nice to mee you Miss Oya," Chozi said with a smile fixated on his face. "I'll be sure to find you," he promised with a solemn tone, but the smile was still gracing the dark-brown maw. "I won't let anyone tell me so, Miss Oya. I'm glad I could make you happy," Chozi said shyly, though he stayed silent about her thoughts on the white and black lion that became their uncle. "Oh, Tapi will probably worry. He's my friend, he is. I haven't seen him in a few days - he'll take care of me though," he informed the adult. Tapi wasn't much older then he ws, and he was acutally unsure of the lion's feelings, but he hung around the male lion often enough.
Demo Oya nodded a little, listening to what he said, "I mean it. I may be hard to find, I wander around a lot, but if you ever need me, I'll always be there for you, I promise." She nodded at him, smiling, "You can always count on me to be your friend... and if you need a place to stay, I'll be there." Oya nodded at him, rubbing his head fondly, "Good boy. You do that." Though his failure to comment on what she had said about his family did not go unnoticed. But what could she really say when they weren't there to talk to? "Okay... if he'll take good care of you, then I'll leave him in your care." Oya nodded at him, glad that Chozi had a frined he could count on. Otherwise, she might well have taken him with her, if only to protect him from the family who had done this to him. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Seaki Chozi shuffled a bit and stod, noticing the dizziness went away completely since oya had been caring for him. "I'm fine now, Ma'am - no need to worry over me," Chozi said with a small hum behind his voice. He gave a small grin. "I think I may have to leave now, though. I have to find Tapi," he informed her. "He probably doesn't know where I am." He took a few steps back and bowed a little. "Thanks again, Miss Oya. I'll find you again someday," He gave a turn of his head, followed by his bosy, leaving to scamper of. "Bye Miss Oya~" he called over his shoulder, leaving at a liesurely and playful scamper.
