By the edge of the lake a cluster of horses stood chatting and laughing merrily. In every way it seemed to just be a group of young mares in a wide variety of colors gossiping or commenting on how nice the weather finally was. All of them stood at roughly the same height with a black mare being the tallest and a little blue one the shortest. In the center stood a rather dainty one who was white like snow. A small black top hat stood perched atop of waves of platinum blond hair and it shook slightly as it's owner laughed. Before too terribly long the mares said their goodbyes to the delicate white stallion they had been entertaining. He smiled sweetly after them until they vanished at which point he scowled.

"Now what do they expect me to do?" He huffed sounding very much like the females he had just been conversing with. He turned to look out at the lake irritatedly. The young mares flocked to him like flies to honey. On days like this he hardly minded. Oh the sweet spring days. Everything was coming back to life after being sealed away for the winter. Young mares and stallions were all out looking for a good time with each other.

Unfortunately for Farren none of them seemed particularly interested in staying in his company today. Baring an angry snarly he stared down at his reflection. It was just terrific really. He finally wanted to be surrounded by people for days and he couldn't get anything to stay. It was terrible...not terrific at all. He was bored and there wasn't a damn thing around to entertain him.

With a frustrated cry he stomped his foot into the ground in a rather childish fashion. The world was against him today. What a cruel thing to do.

Inhaling the spring air, a tall, dark stallion took a moment to registered what he smelled. He definitely smelled the scent of bark, the scent of pine, but it also was accented by the sweet aroma of lilacs, the green sprouts of grass, and the faint aroma of herbs. The stallion could not admit experiencing these scents all at once, but there was a difference in the flora that sprouted in the mountains in comparison to the forests, fields, and other flat-landed area. It was something new. His teal eyes shone brightly, enjoying the spring weather.

The stallion continued on his journey, after taking a moment to take in his surroundings. It was times like these where he wished he had a traveling companion to accompany him, and experience the wonderful sights, smells, and feelings of certain areas he had come across. He offered his daughter to travel with him, but she declined him so quickly, that it took a moment longer for him to register that he had asked her a question and also, she had rejected him. He was still painfully oblivious of his daughter's dislike of him, and yet, could sense a rift between them ever since she was a young filly. He never understood why.

Coming out of his thoughts, his teal eyes took in the surroundings. He recognized the area, and recalled seeing a lake nearby here. The stallion decided that it was time for a break, and time to rehydrate himself. As walked into the area, the stallion had a curious look to his face. He noticed a small group of mares leaving behind a platinum blond hair mare.

The stallion did not want to approach the pretty mare before him yet. The feeling of shyness budded in his chest, feeling hesitant to approach the mare. As he observed her, the stallion noticed that she seemed upset. Feeling a bit concerned, the stallion walked forward to the pretty mare and see if she was okay. "E-excuse me, ma'am. Is everything o-okay?" He asked her in a soft voice and concern expressed in his face.

Farren's eyes narrowed slightly as a strange but familiar sensation prickled at the back of his neck. He was being watched. A self satisfied look played across pale lips and he laughed a little. It was good to be watched. That meant that someone had taken interest in him which meant his boredom was at an end. How wonderful. He did his best to adjust his posture to look his best when something caught him off guard. 'Ma'am.'

A cold light lit up his eyes. It was not the first time that someone had mistaken him for a female. Really there was a 50/50 chance of a person calling him a boy or girl. When they correctly identified him things tended to be a tad boring. How lucky for him that this one thought him to be a mare. Fixing a little smile on his face he turned around slowly.

"Hmm?" He tilted his head slightly. "Oh...oh yes everything is just fine." His voice was just as soft as the the dark stallion's but it was fluid like a harp. "It's just..." He paused. Well hell, it was pretty clear that the other male had seen his little tantrum earlier. How did he cover that up. "There was a bug." He hadn't even intended to say something of that sort. It just fell off his tongue. He shrugged it off internally, that was a girly enough thing anyway.

Khajag felt a heat rush to his cheeks catching sight of the mare's face, and tilted his head downward to hide his blush. She, too, had a faint rosy coloring to her cheeks, which Khajag found to be quite endearing since he easily found himself in a state of embarrassment, which tends to lead to a dark red stain on his normally teal and black face. With the movement of his head, his bangs cascaded down to cover some of his face. His eyes were focused on the ground, to avoid getting embarrassed any further, but would from time to time glance up to get a look of the pretty "mare" before him.

Despite his attempts to overcome his embarrassment, he kept enough attention to the "mare" that he followed what she was saying. Concern lit up in his eyes, as he glanced up again, this time meeting gaze of the "mare" before him. "Are y-you alright?" He asked, glancing around for the bug that might have frightened the "mare" before him. He would happily take care of it, if the "mare" so wished.

A self-satisfied smirk tugged at the corners of Farren's mouth as he watched the dark stallion. He adored it when they got flustered, and flustered the boy was, there was just something darkly amusing about it for him. To see others in a tizzy over him made him feel powerful. It was such a wonderful feeling. It made the white stallion feel as though he could do anything in the world, and at the moment he rather wanted to see just how well he had the boy caught up.

"Oh yes, don't worry I'm quite alright." He said giving his best embarrassed mare imitation laugh. "Just a little bug that flew at me and startled me." He turned his head down slightly and gave his best shy smile peering at the dark stallion through long dark lashes. It was time for the first test or game, however one wanted to look at it.

"I'm sure a strong stallion such as yourself would find me quite silly for panicking over such things." He tried to force heat to his cheeks to make a blush appear but it didn't seem to be working so he gave up on it. He would have to settle for the normal rosiness that already sat there.

Khajag smiled a bit, relieved that the "mare" was alright. He laughed slightly, listening to the "mare's" little story of what had happened. He could definitely imagine that experience to be surprising, especially if you weren't expecting the bug.

The stallion looked back to the "mare" with a blush still staining his cheeks. Her shy smile just made him feel more embarrassed since he was trying to act "macho" in trying to "vanquish the fiend bug."

The stallion's blush took on a darker shade, hearing the "mare" describe him as a "strong stallion". He shook his head. "I d-don't think it's silly at all." His voice faltered a bit. "It's understandable to be startled by a bug since you probably weren't... expecting it."
