I really don't see the harm. I know tons of gay/bisexual people and I really don't care. If I had told my dad about the one guy I dated he would flip out. He'd lay a concrete egg.

I don't think it harms anyone. It's just uptight heterosexuals being ... rawr-ish. D< It frustrates me but I (kind of) understand that they were brought up to believe in a certain thing.

I think that some people were introduced to it the wrong way. I think I found out that there was a whole group of good-looking, well-dressed guys who got to talk about their feelings and watch romantic movies without getting made fun of, I'd be like "******** THOSE GUYS! The bible says they're douchebags!" because I need to make up some reason so I don't look like a douche myself. ^_^
Seriously though, I have no idea. I'd think the media probably.

Its rather annoying how people get all crazy and saying god hates homosexuals. If god loves all why would he hate one certain group. I cant stand it! Gives straight people bad names sad

people who make fun of lesbians transgenders gay's bi's u name it r just insecure bout themselves and their sexuality this one dude made fun of me for 2 years stragiht after he found out i was bi. after 2 years of it and almost beating him up a couple times for not stopping even after i asked nicely i screamed at him y do u contantly pick on me for being bi wtf is wrong with u just bcuz im different i get treated like crap hm? 2 days after i screamed at him he asked me out and said he didnt know how to tell me he liked me and was gay after making fun of me for being openly bi

I think most people are intolerant beacuse they were raised on "mommy and daddy". If a child were introduced to homosexuality at the same time he or she was introduced to "mommy and daddy", the child might grow up to be tolerant.

I blame the media giving homosexuality such an awful name :l
there are other contributing factors, religion, beliefs, values, etc.
Also, please keep in mind society is retarded right now. A lot of people are ignorant against what is different than what you're "suppose" to be and what "normal" is considered to be.

The issue really isn't just because they are "uptight" or "insecure", the main issue is that according to historic Christian teaching, homosexual sex is considered wrong. That is quite simply the fact of the matter. Before it was a Christian precept it was a Jewish precept - and laid out directly in the bible... at least by some translations. That's the problem. During a more conservative era the bible was translated to read in such a way that it says to men having sex is an abomination. Now whether or not you personally think that's what it says or means (I personally do not believe that is an accurate translation) that fact remains that current Christians are taught to see the bible as the inspired word of God and often meant to be read literally. So rather than accusing all people who do not see homosexuality as a natural condition, consider how they were raised and what their personal religion teaches and have a little patience teaching then that what they know may not be the truth of the matter.

Society's norms.
Media.
Religion.
Fear.
Peer pressure.
People are victims of all those things. That leads to what they think is hatred. But they merely just don't understand...

well.....most people don't like what they don't understand....
i've seen many cases of people who hate each other because they are on opposite sides of society....
the interesting twists of life...they end up being best friends......it just took the right time to get know each other
i know two persons doesn't compare to most of the world...but even so....i know you guys will succeed in letting the world know that you have as much right to love whoever you want as any other
so.....keep moving forward....someday this will all be over....
(random fact: ancient cultures like the Incas and the Egyptians were the first to have men wearing earrings and skirts.......i don't see why in some places, like where i live, men cannot be seen wearing these.....though discrimination about earrings is way less than skirts.....lol...and i've only seen one guy in a skirt, wearing it willingly)

all the gay/bi guys in my area are big,good looking,kind,in shape,chick magnets,i don't HATE them i'm just jealous,and why hate someone who is awesome like that hell if to be like that i'd have to choose between being fat,ugly,hated and straight and big,beautiful,loved and bi,take a guess which i would choose?
