Aminah: 1:13 pm
(1:13:37 PM): Aminah stretched a bit, curled in a den that she'd found, and watched the sky outside. On her way back from hunting, the sky had decided to open up and start a torrential downpour, something intended to keep any and all creatures inside for long periods of time. She was glad, at this point, for the large rocks in front of her little cave that kept the wind and rain from getting in and drowning her while she slept. It made the cave hard to get into or find sometimes, sure, but it was very convenient.

Idly, she prayed quietly that if there were any gods out flying, they found shelter and soon. The few she'd run into before had all been flying in the night and if they were out now would probably be in all sorts of trouble. Li Wei, she was sure, was probably hiding out somewhere and hoping his mane and scales didn't get soaked yet again. Eir was probably....well Eir could probably handle herself. And Rama? He would probably be horrified that his hair and wings would be ruined by this weather, so he'd desperately hate it. With a shake of her head, the lioness stretched out a bit, deciding to watch the sky just in case there were any flying blurs that needed somewhere to dry off.
Rama: 1:30 pm
(1:30:17 PM): Horrified would be putting it lightly. The god's world had effectively come to an end for the third time that week. First the lovely young goddess who...for one reason or another had somehow tricked him into saying the most atrocious things about himself, then he'd broken a claw when trying to land himself, and now this. Things couldnd't possibly get any worse.

"This is terrible! Horrible!" He wailed, knowing full well that he was talking to himself at that point. Unfortunately, himself was the only person he trusted with his innermost secrets and moments of weakness.

The rain had drenched through his fur and had his wings sopping wet. Cold water ran down through his skin like tiny balls of ice. Magic or no, flying in the rain would be beyond difficult.

"Of all the things to happen! It's not fair, it's simply not fair! What have I done to deserve this! I do charity work!" He tossed his sopping hair clear from his eyes and trudged forward in the...ech...mud.
Aminah: 1:32 pm
(1:32:09 PM): The voice was loud and familiar enough to jolt Aminah out of the light doze she'd been in. Poking her head out of the rock, she spotted a very sad and bedrugled looking Rama walking along looking, well, awful. "Psst! Rama!" she called out, poking her head a little more visibly out of the rocks. Thankfully, she was white which made her much easier to see against dark rocks in the night.

"Over here! There's shelter!"
Rama: 1:34 pm
(1:34:06 PM): Rama jumped, eyes going wide as he splashed back a few steps. Someone was around!? Someone saw him!? Oh heavens above, NOW his life was over. He should just lay down and die. Of course, he'd always imagined a beautiful, dramatic death. Not one covered in mud and rain water.

Desperate to save his pride, the god threw his head upwards, tossed the mop of mane over to the side and fanned his wings out. "Shelter? I don't need shelter. I laugh in the face of the storm!"
Aminah: 1:35 pm
(1:35:56 PM): "Rama get your dumb butt over here!" Aminah barked in a no-nonsense tone and gave the god a look that said he wasn't saving any face whatsoever by standing around and trying to seem unphased. "Come on, I'll help you get cleaned back up so you can look pretty again when you go out."
Rama: 1:40 pm
(1:40:57 PM): Dumb!? DUMB!? Wasn't that the pretty from the other day who had so willingly complemented him before? Now he was DUMB!?

He made a quiet chocking sound and brought a paw up to his mouth, smudging a clump of mud over his whiskers. Swearing, he stepped back and began rubbing his mouth off on his shoulder. Now his shoulder was dirty!

"I am NOT dumb!"
Aminah: 1:42 pm
(1:42:31 PM): "No but you're being dumb." she commented, heading out into the storm to nudge him into the cave. "Go on, you're just going to get yourself even more dirty and then you'll be miserable and upset."
Rama: 1:47 pm
(1:47:46 PM): "Oh don't look at me! I'm hideous!" He brought his wings around himself and threw his paws over his head, effectively drenching his hair further- and adding to the mud collection over his body.

"Ooh this is the end for me, it's all over! Life's not worth living if I can't be beautiful! I'm a mess, a hidious mess! UGLY!" He slapped the side of his face. "Look at you! And fat- fatty fatty! Ooh Rama how the gods have fallen! They laugh at you now!"
Aminah: 1:54 pm
(1:54:00 PM): Aminah rolled her eyes and promptly half crawled under him, standing up and with some effort lifting the younger male and carrying him the rest of the way into the cave. There, she set him down on the dry ground. "Shake off some of the mud in the entry way then come into the back of the cave and I'll groom you." she told him sternly, but lightly pat his wings. "You do not look THAT bad."
Rama: 1:57 pm
(1:59:10 PM): Rama might as well have been a rag doll by the time she got him into the cave. He simply flopped down onto his back, his muddy wings sprawled out to either side as he brought a paw over his eyes. Heaving a dramatic sigh, he went completely limp against the ground. He was a mess! What's worse was someone saw him! A lady saw him!

Aminah: 2:00 pm
(2:00:10 PM): "Rama, do you WANT to look pretty again?" she asked him exasperatedly, picking up one wing and shaking the mud off of it and proceeding to do that with the other. She had to hold them up after she did that, of course, or they'd get dirty again. "Stand up, you and hold your wings up." Such a drama queen.
Rama: 2:01 pm
(2:01:24 PM): "What's the point? It's all over for me... I'm hideous! Plain! Disgusting. I've had my beauty tainted, mud everywhere...I've fallen from grace, there's no redemption for me now! The gods laugh at me! They make me lie.. I can't show my face to the world! The humanity!"
Aminah: 2:03 pm
(2:03:16 PM): "Oh hush. You look very pretty when you aren't being whiny." she growled, whapping him lightly upside the head with a paw. "Now stand up, and stop bellyaching. You're behaving like a petulant child not a mighty god of anything. What would your parents say if they could see how you're behaving right now? What a disgrace on their names AND on yours, you're being right now!"
Rama: 2:08 pm
(2:08:44 PM): "You don't know anything!" He rolled over onto his side and curled up into a small, muddy ball. His wings cupped over his form, further hiding him from view. What did she know? A disgrace! He was filthy- that was a disgrace. Considering the situation he was handling himself just fine!
Aminah: 2:10 pm
(2:10:29 PM): "Oh really? You know I've met at least two other gods since I've met you and NEITHER of them would be behaving this badly." she commented, picking his wings up once more. "And STOP putting your wings down like that, I JUST shook the mud off them and you're going to make things worse!"
(2:22:22 PM): "Are you saying I don't measure up to the others!?" He sat upright, indignant and horrified. His muddy hair slapped over the side of his face and sent two long trails of dirty water dripping from his forehead down to his maw.

"Is that what you really think!? Is that what everyone thinks?! Life's not fair..."

Aminah: 2:24 pm
(2:24:20 PM): "If everyone saw you sitting here being a baby about a little mud, YEAH, THEY MIGHT THINK LESS OF YOU." she exclaimed giving him a dirty look. "I was actually telling them I thought you were an all right sort and that they might get along with you but I guess if you're going to sit here and be a whiny little brat about a bit of dirt and mud rather than quieting down since I have already offered to help you get cleaned up and pretty again, then maybe I was wrong."
Rama: 2:47 pm
(2:47:07 PM): "No one was supposed to see! That was the point! DUH." He flared one of his wings open to provide him with a 'wall' between himself and the female. It wasn't her fault that the world was ending in his mind, but he didn't want to have to face another dose of reality. Not twice in one week. Maybe twice in a year...or a decade, but not in the same week.
Aminah: 2:50 pm
(2:50:01 PM): "Well we'll pretend I didnt' see later, Relax, okay?" she told him, pushing the wing back a bit and brushing his hair out of his face. "We'll get you all cleaned up, take a nap and we'll pretend this never happened, okay?"
Rama: 3:49 pm
(3:49:11 PM): "Y...you would do that?" He wiped at his eyes with the back of his paws and took a deep breath. Well if she'd pretend she'd never seen him in such a disgraceful shape, he'd be okay with that. So long as she didn't tell a soul.

"Fine... I accept your terms...you may groom me now."
Aminah: 4:20 pm
(4:20:16 PM): "Yes actually." she agreed, patting his shoulder lightly. "It's no one else's business." Aminah assured Rama before carefully standing and helping him to shake the mud off.

"Drip that off at the front of the cave so you don't drag it to the back. That way when you lay down for grooming or a nap, you won't get dirty again."
Rama: 4:47 pm
(4:47:05 PM): Drip off? But that would take forever. With an overly dramatic sigh and a roll of his eyes, he trudged to the mouth of the cave and began flapping his wings out to help speed up the process. Loose, diney feathers fell to the ground around him along with dirty shed hair. He couldn't even see the dragon mark on his paw- what a disgrace.

"That's right, it's no one's business."
Aminah: 5:15 pm
(5:15:45 PM): Once he'd gotten decently dried, she directed him to the back of the cave so he could be groomed. Aminah was careful with his horns and wings and whatnot while she got rid of the mud and water from his precious coat. "Feeling better?"
Rama: 5:37 pm
(5:37:58 PM): "Much better yes." He stretched himself out along the stony ground, his wings fanning out to allow them to dry a little faster and to give the female all the room she needed to see to his needs. He didn't seem all that interested in giving her any assistance beyond that. Afterall, why should he? Mortals were meant to adore and serve the gods.
