The sun was out and warming over the savanna after a night full of rain. The ground was hardening back up and Aminah was contentedly lounging in a sunny spot by a watering hole. Again. It seemed to be becoming a habit, lounging by water in the daytime, wandering about all night. She was losing her idea that this sort of life was boring and lonely, considering she kept running into all sorts of creatures in this manner.
Today the striped lioness was attempting to clean mud off her paws. While not vain, she did pride herself in looking presentable and being covered in mud after too much rain wasn't a state she liked being in. So here she was, scraping dirt off of white and blue paws.

Bright, shimmering, golden eyes watched the now cleaning lioness. He was stalking very well now, his Father was teaching him to hunt recently and found he was stalking all sorts of things. Sniffing the wind he made sure it was blowing towards him, down wind was always good. His paws were tensed, muscles wound up and body ready to leap, the lioness was relaxed, had a beautiful pelt of white and light blues. "Such a weird mane." He murmured, unsure of what to think.
He lost track of his thoughts and went to step forward, get a better look, all in the same motion he had a quick pulse of adrenaline launching him forward. He yelped quickly and almost silently, he saw where his path was headed and he prayed the lioness was nice and didn't mind young minds.
He fell in a heap at her side, almost hitting her in his tumble, he got lucky, sort of. He still wans't sure of the temperament of the lioness so he whipped out teh big guns, large sparkling eye's and big grin.
"Hai!" He smiles broadly, tail swishing behind him and body language cheery, he was a kind young soul, it codul be seen in his eye's alone. "My names Kaito, I didn'tmeantorunintoI'mso sorry...!" He rambled quickly, slurring his words, ears flattening to hsi skull as he spoke.

Aminah glanced down and blinked as something bumped into her side lightly. Her eyes widened at the cub that'd just bumped her and she looked concernedly over him.
"Are you okay?" she asked, moving a free paw to carefully help right the little cub and brush his fur back into place, getting a bit of dust off of it.
She smiled indulgently as he greeted her and introduced himself. Yep, he was fine. "It's quite all right. Just be more careful next time, Kaito." she told him, giving him another pat with her clean paw. "My name's Aminah. What were you doing?"

Kaito eyed the pretty lioness, a smile still glued to his face, his ears raised as she spoke sweetly and he relaxed ultimately sighing with relief. Fur being brushed back into place, and dust raising into the air he sniffles then sneezes, knocking him onto his lower back, he brings himself back and stifles a giggle.
"Hi Aminah." He smirks, head tilting with his grin, eye's were normal now, not sparkling in the puppy dog look. He was cute as a button anyhow, he didn't need it [;D] "I uhm.." He wasn't much of a liar, he hated it and thus took in a deep breath and let a small grin take place of his large smile.
"I was, uhm, practicing my, uhm..." He gulped a little, she was sweet, but how exactly would she take to being stalked, he couldn't have all the luck, could he? "I was, uhm, practicing my stalking on you..." He said, head hanging slowly, he didn't wanna see the look on her face as the words hit her ears.
He invaded her privacy and deserved a good smacking around.

"oh really?" she laughed then, nodding in approval, "You must be getting very good then, because I didn't notice you at all." She had been quite distracted and he was being decently quiet.
"So, little Kaito, do you always stalk strangers in the wild, or do you have a family to go home to?" she asked, leaning down and looking at him in amusement. Her coat could wait a bit.

Ears perked forward, eye's wide adn a huge goofy grin was on his face. He became very smug all of a sudden and giggled. "Really! You didn't notice me!" He gasped excitedly, he was used to his Father's pretending not to see him techniques, not the best learning strategy, then again it was obvious he hunting him when that was the lesson.
"Oh! I have a family, well right now it's me, my Dad and a couple sisters. We left Mommy a while ago." He nodded curtly, as if leaving was the right thing, not that she had caused any harm to the cubs, just wasn't Kaito's piece of boar leg.
"What about you, do you have any family?" He asked, he rocked a little back and forth on his haunches as he asked his question. He thought fondly of his Dad as he moved, but stared right on at the female he spoke to, it was only respectful for listening to look.

"Left her?" Aminah inquired, looking surprised at that. Whyever would they just leave his mother? Hopefully they hadn't just abandoned her for being sick and dying - that'd be awful.
"Yes, I did. I had to go away though. I was all grown up and wanted to start my own family."

"Yeah, I don't know why we did, I think it's because Daddy likes to travel. He talks about a white lioness he'd like us to meet eventually." He smiles sweetly, the obvious story being the cub was from a litter of a fling and the Father was headed to the adoptive Mother.
He beamed at her with sparkly eye's. "You want to be a Mommy?" He was going to be a family man, it showed in his slowly building personality. He was just like his Dad, calm, loving and caring, though this cub had one outstanding feature in his persona, he worried a little to much. He didn't want to hurt anyones feelings ever!
"I want to be a Daddy some day!" He smiled broadly and his question face came back. "So, when do you plan on being a Mommy?" He asked curtly, blunt and obviously unsure of how the process worked.

"Oh, well that's okay then." she laughed, maybe it'd just been a fling or the mother had wanted to stay and was willing to let the cubs go with their father. At least Kaito seemed okay, right?
Aminah nodded, "Yes, I want to be a Mommy and have cubs of my own. Though I'd like for them to have a Daddy too."
The lioness reached out to pat the cub's head a little, mussing his fur then pushing it back into place. "That's good that you know already. I don't quite know when I'll become a Mommy - when I find the right mate, I guess."

Now his mind was made up. "Will.. will you come back and visit me when you have cubs Aminah?" He asked, his eye's glittered and sparkled, he loved being around cubs, his own age or younger. He liked acting like the big guy, the one everyone could go to for help and support.
"My siblings and I get along grandly, I'd promise to help watch them! And I love meeting new lions allllll the time!" He wore a dopey grin, ears up and tail flailing, half way through his speech he'd stood up, lowered his fore body and let his rear shake playfully in the 'I'm gonna getcha' stance.
"Promise!?" He growled playfully, he enjoyed life to all it's good and bad, though as bad as it got for him was accidentally killing a buggy playmate!

"I promise." she laughed, smiling down at the little cutie that'd decided to become her friend. "You can play with them and show them how to stalk since you're so good at it."

Kaito felt his cheeks warm up and a fuzzy feeling touch his belly. The compliment went straight to the cubs head and dove for his heart. "Oh yes, I'd love that sooooo much!" He leaped from his 'attack' position and rolled in front of her before spewing out all his knowledge of games and things they'd do.
"First! I'd teach them hide and seek, then how to play tag, then I'd get them to meet my siblings and my daddy, oh how he loves us cubbins! I bet he'd LOOOOVE to meet you!" Kaito's grins, excitement and joy never seemed to vanish, even when he thought he was in trouble earlier it took nothing to take him out of his fear.
"Once they meet my family then we can ALL play while you and my Dad and your mate.." He paused, excitement not disappearing, a question face just took over a moment, his butt was wiggling with his tail, caught in a moment of movement. "What's a 'mate'..?" He asked, his eye's searching the lioness.
"I've never heard of such a thing!" He exclaimed, a gasp face over rid his questioning appearance, he was very close to getting to the 'where do I come from' moment that he didn't have a Mother to explain to him.

Aminah tickled him lightly with her tail as he talked, watching the little one play and expound on the numerous games and meetings before the question arose. She laughed a bit and smiled.
"A mate is who you have cubbins with and stay with. So my mate would be my cubs' Daddy. If I didn't want to stay with my cubs' Daddy, we wouldn't be mated and I'd just go alone with them."

"Sooooo if you stay with the Daddy of your cubbies you'll have a mate?" He ponders this briefly and then brings up the million dollar question, one most Mom's wouldn't hear a thing about until their adolescent stages. "Where do cubs come from?"
His tail swished, giggling at being tickled, his ears were pricked forward and in a few moment jaws found the tickling tail, stifling his giggles his nibbled at the tuft on her tail playfully, not looking to hurt. Though cubbin teeth could get vicious without them knowing.

"Mmmmmmmmmm sort of yes." she agreed with a nod. "It's more complicated than that but you're a bit young."
Aminah laughed, "I'm not allowed to tell you that, silly. You have to ask your Dad if you want that information. But, I can say they sort of come from Mommy's tummy." she said, flicking her tail to indicate her own belly. "Mommies get really fat when they're going to have cubs and then cubs come and they're not fat anymore." Yep, she was just winging it. Going on memories of her own siblings and their births.
The white lioness snorted as she watched him play with her tail. "Silly cubbin." she said, reaching out to tickle him with one of her paws while he was distracted.
