i am currently working on trying to make a D&D style version of monster hunter.

this is an idea i've been toying with for a while now and i think it might be something that could take off if done properly

it will feature all the elements from the monster hunter games but with the added bonus of infinite customisation and will allow more players to take part than is possible in the psp/wii versions

ideally you will need at least two players:
one to act as a hunter and the other as a guild master
the guild master role will be very much like the dungeon master in D&D, giving the players missions, rewards and generally making the rules and making sure everyone has fun with it

its going to be a lot of hard work but with some help i might be able to get it off the ground.

if anyone is interested in helping please post here and ill tell you what i need from you

you should add something like a specific skill job they can do like chef or skinner or blacksmith

as i said its going to be totally customisable, GM's will be able to add new equipment, missions, locations, maybe even monsters, some may want to include character classes that give bonuses in missions (e.g. chefs might have higher success rate for cooking, skinners might get a better item/more items from carves, blacksmiths might have added sharpness to weapons)
it should all be possible onces i have the basic framework sorted (monster stats, weapon/armor stats)
experience might not factor in to this game so people can drop in and out whenever they like.
its all stuff that needs to be sorted before i start testing it on real people

it is pretty much ready to go, i just need monster data (health, attacks, weaknesses, etc.)
if i can get some information on just one monster like a kut ku i can print up the rest of the information right now for an alpha test

D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) is THE table top roleplay game
came out years before Warhammer or anything else
it is a very nerdy game

D&D can be epiclly fun in the right group but is a lot of hard work for the person running it, but that hard work is always worth it, seeing something you crafted with your own mind come to life and watching how people react to it is awesome, and vitually everything can be tweeked to make the game more epic, basically if you can think it you can do it in D&D
