Kiyo is rather tall for a 15 year old Japanese school girl. Her eyes are warm, but she’s always frowning, or looks kind of irked about something. If she’s showing neither of these emotions, she’s probably wearing a devilish grin. She has choppy blonde and black hair that’s about shoulder length, and her bangs are always in her eyes. Generally, Kiyo wears her school uniform. Outside of school, she wears skinny jeans, a simple t-shirt, goggles either around her neck or on her head, and a lime green stoner hat. In Soul Society, she wears the traditional Shihakusho. A shredded silk scarf is flung across her chest, and is used to hold her sword, which is on her back, just behind her waist.
Favorite color: Ultraviolet and lime green.
Food: Wakame and toufu miso soup, curry rice, hot chocolate.
Hobbies: Drawing, playing guitar, biking.
Hates: Idiots, arrogant people, mushrooms of all kinds, rap music, people who won't listen to her.
Overview: If I had to compare her personality to anyone, it would be Jak, from the Jak and Daxter Saga. Or possibly Naruto.
Habits: Fiddles with her hands a lot, tends to play air-guitar when bored, overuses the word "b*****d".
Greatest Strength: She's analytical and enjoys observing all sorts of things, and is kind and loyal.
Greatest Weakness: Despite the enjoyment she recieves from observing, she can be very headstrong and will rush into battle. Kiyo doesn't like being bossed around.
Soft spot: Arrancar, surprisingly enough. And boys.
Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: Her pity for Arrancar can be rather obvious at times. Normally after she's donned her mask, for Kiyo feels a slight connection with Arrancar due to their similarity to Vizards. -- When boys sucker up to Kiyo, she can't help but give in, so this is very obvious.
If not, how do they hide it: She does not wear her mask. That way she doesn't feel so connected to Arrancar.
Biggest Vulnerability: Fire. Kiyo's always hated fire. This, perhaps, has some connection with her Zanpakutou, which deals in shadows, and fire is constantly flickering on and off. It scares her.
Background: Kiyo comes from a fairly stable family. Her father, Sora, is an accomplished inventor, and is the CEO of a company called Murasama INDUSTRIES. However, Kiyo does not know much of Sora's actual background. Her reply: "I think he's from Seoul, Korea..." Her mother, Akane, is a nurse, and was born and raised in Akita before moving to Karakura.
Type of childhood: Kiyo had a very nurtured childhood, though her parents weren't always around. For quite a few years, Kiyo was raised by a nanny. But whenever her parents were around, they were very caring.
Kiyo is psychic. Or at least that's how she's always referred to herself. She's been able to see beings from the other side practically as long as she can remember, and even possesses a small degree of telekinesis.
Born in Karakura town to her father and mother, Sora and Akane. Kiyo doesn't know much about her father's history ("I think he's from Korea...? Somewhere strange..." ), but is positive her mother was born in Akita.
Kiyo had an older brother. His name was Ryok, and he was born five years before Kiyo. Ryok died when she was only 3 years old, and she has very few memories of him. For this reason, his death never grieved her, though she's always been very curious as to what he was like, and who he really was.
Kiyo gained Shinigami powers when she arrived home late from school one day only to find out her nanny was being attacked by a Hollow. Through a series of small events, Kiyo met Hikaru Hanazono, who lent her half of his Shinigami powers, because it “was the right thing to do”, in his own words, respectively. However, with the borrowing of Hikaru's Shinigami power came the borrowing of his Hollow powers, too. Kiyo herself gained a Hollow, and became a Vizard. Kiyo managed to defeat the Hollow and save her family, but has been left with a sense of bitter resentment towards Hollows, and Arrancars especially.
A Shinigami woman named Daisuke Kawasaki helped Kiyo control her Inner Hollow (which I may note is a man).
The whereabouts of Hikaru Hanazono are unknown.
Kiyome works as a Substitute Shinigami and a high school student, but because she’s a very curious person, she ends up butting into Soul Society’s issues quite often, and disappears from the World of the Living quite frequently.
Most important childhood event that still effects him/her: When Kiyo was almost two years old, the nanny "spilled" highly concentrated bleach on her head. It was really Kiyo's fault due to her telekinesis.
Or perhaps when her brother Ryok died.
Why? Since then, Kiyo's hair has grown in blonde on top and black underneath. Many girls at school have teased her about this, which has lead to Kiyo growing a tough outer shell.
The absence of Ryok has affected Kiyo's life in practically every way possible.
Most at ease when: She's alone at night, sitting on top of a roof either at home or in Soul Society.
Most ill at ease when: Massive crowds surround her, or when people question her too much, and when she's at school.
Priorities: To teach and to learn -- but mainly to get through high school. She has no plans for after high school, however.
Philosophies: "Life is like a bowl of soup. You've got your potatoes... and your noodles... lots of flavor. And you can dip your bread in it -- if you have any. Just don't let it sit there too long, or it'll get soggy..."

How they feel about themselves: Kiyo likes to think of herself as a fun-loving person. She's never considered herself a freak, despite the jeers she's recieved from other kids all her life. As a matter of fact, Kiyo wouldn't go back to being a "regular" human for anything. She feels more in place when she's in her Shinigami form. Despite the fact she possesses Vizard powers, she continues to refer to herself as a Shinigami or human, and tends to steer clear of using them.
Past failure they would be embarrassed to admit: The time she set her classroom on fire and got expelled from Karakura High School. (She now attends a private school when she's not on an adventure in Soul Society.)
Drives and motives: Kiyo wishes to live up to her father. She wants to be happy with what she's accomplished in life, however she has no actual direction to follow. Therefore, Kiyo is simply living life, and waiting for a sign -- any sign -- to guide her.
Extremely skilled at: Drawing, moving small objects with her mind, playing guitar, handling a sword, being sneaky, investigating things she shouldn't get into, being a bit of a jerk from time to time, and writing.
Extremely unskilled at: Cooking, piano, lifting heavy objects (with her body and/or mind), cleaning, thinking rationally, math, and science.
Good characteristics: Kind, devious, quick to act, analytical, creative, loyal, helpful, usually not annoying, dreamy, thoughtful.
Character flaws: Headstrong, cocky, too devious at times, acts too quickly at times, oblvious due to thinking, and has slight anger issues from time to time.
Peculiarities: Psychic, two-tone hair, cannot have things handed to her (or else she freaks out), dreamy, can write backwards, prefers night to day, does not like fire, is germaphobic, vegetarian until you offer her BBQ.
Biggest regret: Getting expelled from Karakura High School.
Biggest accomplishment: Reading the Lord of the Rings in English, or perhaps, mastering Shikai.
Darkest secret: This would, perhaps, be the plain and simple fact that Kiyo's a Vizard. She tends to never use her mask, therefore, nobody knows -- other than Hikaru Hanazono, the one who lent her his powers, and Daisuke Kawasaki, the one who gave Kiyo a little training.
One word they would use to describe themselves: "One word? That's lame! Grr, fine... 清め."
What do they consider their best physical characteristic and why: Kiyo really does like her eyes, most likely because they possess a rather large spectrum of color. If not that, it would be her hair -- a mistake she likes to think turned into something interesting about herself."
The worst one? Why?: Her body, of course. She doesn't like being an inch taller than everyone else; though she is exaggerating, because due to her small figure, she actually appears a lot shorter than she is.
How they think others preserve them: "I bet some people find me annoying, or weird. Good thing I keep to myself."
What four things would they most like to change about themselves: 1.] Feet -- "Feet are just gross in general. I almost wish we didn't have them." 2.] Hands -- "Some people have pretty hands, but I really just don't." 3.] Upper body strength -- "That would be really useful for my Shinigami duties. It's a good thing my Zanpakutou's light, or else I wouldn't be able to hold it very long." 4.] Tears -- "I wish I wouldn't cry over stupid things. I'll cry over something lame like a scratch, or somebody calling me names. It's gotta stop. Those aren't reasons to cry. They're reasons to get stronger."
How do they relate to others: Since Kiyo does think of herself as a fairly normal person, she tends to relate well with others, but knows there will always be a gap between them if they're normal humans. If it's with another Shinigami, Kiyo will probably bond right away.
How are they perceived by strangers: Wow... Look at that hair... Pshh, what a punk!

How do they react in a crisis: It depends on the situation. Sometimes it may quickly, or even without thiking. Other times she may step back and analyze the situation.

Kind of problems they usually run into: Just catty girls who don't know when to stop teasing her. Or her mouthiness gets her into fights -- with Shinigami and humans alike.

How they react to change: Kiyo adapts pretty well to change. She views it as a natural thing. "Respect it -- embrace it."
What do they do too much of, why: Kiyo's use of the word "b*****d" tends to be much. She also fiddles with her clothes. A lot. Or crosses her arms over her chest.
Most prized possession, why: Kiyo's Zanpakutou. They're connected. "Anything that's connected shouldn't be taken for granted."
People they secretly admire, why: Hikaru Hanazono -- he lent her Shinigami powers. Sora Murasama -- he's her father, and is very, very accomplished.
Person they are most influenced by, why:Her father, for the most part. He is her father, after all.
Zanpakuto name: "良一" 影白銀 "Ryouichi" Kage-Shirogane. Ryouichi's just a nickname for her.
Zanpakuto sealed Appearance: Kage-Shirogane remains in it's Shikai form all the time. However, it takes the form of a simple katana.
Shikai Release Command:None.
Shikai Abilities: 影周は "Kage Shuuha" - Low-level shadow manipulation. Means "Shadow wave."
Cosmetic Changes: None.
Instant effect: When drawn, Kage-Shirogane creates a low boom.
Lasting effect: Causes light to fade within a two meter radius. A shadow basically hangs around the Zanpakutou, enabling the user to be able to manipulate this shadow, or any nearby shadows. They can be released alone, or Reiatsu can be released in a highly concentrated wave.
Bankai Release Command: 光は影白金が制止。"Kage-wa Kage-Shirogane-ga seishi."
Bankai Abilities: Ryouichi Kage-Shirogane goes into its final form, a silver Zanpakutou. Picture at the bottom of the page.

影制止 Kage Seishi - Shadow manipulation.
Cosmetic Changes: The black Zanpakutou becomes a silver Zanpakutou. See pictures.
Instant Effect: All lights go out for exactly two seconds, no more. They come back on after these two seconds are over.
Lasting Effect: The shadow around the Zanpakutou becomes a little larger and a little darker. This shadow, and some nearby can be released in waves, as can Reiatsu. This is stronger than the Kage Shuuha.
Kiyo uses Ryouichi to control any shadows near her to either attack, daze, or restrain an opponant. She can also release a wave of her own reiatsu. It's really just a more powerful version of Kage Shuuha.
