 Mery was normally an active boy, dancing about or trying his best to keep up with his lessons. But right now...he was quite happy lying on his back on the floor of the court yard, snoozing away. He'd been dashing about earlier...and like all his age, he'd managed to run himself out of energy and flopped down. Though he'd been smart enough to wiggle out of the way of others.
After all, being stepped on wouldn't help anybody! It would just get him hurt, trip up another cub or adult, and make everyone around annoyed or mad or worried! That...would be bad.

She could see... the moon still out- when it was plain day! She hurried through the ruins and temples. Jumping and dodging all she saw. "Sorry~ OPPS! COMING THROUGH!" She called out to them. looking back with a sympathetic face. Right when she got to the courtyard. Not noticing others were around since most of the time.. she rarely seen anyone in the courtyard alone. Most were at their posts or in teachings.. But she's seen the moon all the way from her studies and bolted out right after. Right when her toes got to the highest point of the courtyard.. she looked up. Tilting her head as she watched.. "Woah..." Was it the gods? That the studies spoke of?
Quickly she closed her eyes.. Her whole body and heart...
A whisper.
"I wish I may- I wish I might- Please..hear my wish- I wish for....-" 'A momma..'
She wished with all her might and all her soul..As if dire need to fulfill that wish. As if to be heard by the gods.. And that strong , strong heart of hers wished with all her might. Looking like her face was scrunched up or ready to sneeze..
"Please.. please... hear me.."
Thoughs words... were heartfelt.
To the world around her.. she felt none of it.. and only to what she whispered and wished for. A wish couldn't come true if you didn't wish with everything in you!

He'd heard the patter of smaller paws through the courtyard, and opened a pale blue eye, curious. And then there was a quiet voice, an almost reverent, wishful voice. Curious, Mery's other eye opened and he rolled over onto his belly to see where it was coming from. He looked around a moment before spotting a cub. He tilted his head, blinking, and smiled. Well now! He stood, shaking himself a bit before making his way over to her.
He noticed she'd been looking up, and looked up as well. And his eyes widened. OH. Well...that was new! He stared at the moon in the daytime sky a moment, before looking back to the cub. "Wha'cha wishing for?"

Startled- she almost jumped but was just taken back a second. "Huh?" Quieting down and almost cowards for just a second.. A blush over her cheeks as she saw it had to be a boy. A new boy she hadn't seen before. "I was praying and wishing for a momma." A soft smile.. not knowing the human concept of not telling what one wished for. Here- this was sacred grounds.. this pride.. her pride.
"...I think the Gods will bless us.. Look at how the moon.." Looking up with soft eyes.
"Its beau-------tiful..." Her chest filled with happiness and hope. "I've never seen it like this.." Looking at him. "Isn't it great~!" Preening happily but this cub wished so very hard. Taking a side step. "What will you wish or pray for hm?" Waving her tail about.

A momma? Mery's ears drooped slightly. "You don't have a momma? That's sad." He looked determined a moment. "Well...I hope you get one soon! Pretty cub like you deserves a momma!" He nodded, as if to make his words final. He looked up again, tilting his head to one side a bit.
"It is very pretty. I've never seen the moon out at day before. Maybe it is a blessing." He grinned. "I know exactly what I'm gonna pray for too! A momma for you. Since I've already got one." Even if his momma was busy, being Queen and all, he still thought she was the best momma ever. For him at least.

She shook her head. "No..." Ears went down and that feeling of loneliness just hit her like a ton of bricks. She looked away- she couldn't help but want to cry. But she bit her lip and tried to smile.. that smile that was soft and kind. One of a child whom had been denied that of a female figure other than a Nanny of course. But when she asked if she was her momma... she said no. It caused her to crush her heart.
She looked and was surprised what came out of his mouth next. Gasping and with a smile she sweetly laughed. "Thank you..., you didn't have to." She turned to him and poked her nose against his. "I'm Ebio'Femi... whats your name?" Her voice soft and kiddish- like a girl. Her tail padding softly.. that really touched her heart. Someone would wish for a mommy for her... That made her heart just warm and ozze... but she seemed straight leveled to him. He was just a bit taller than her so she had to look up to him- she didn't know though. The rank he held... she thought all cubs were just alike- she just knew father told her to respect 'elders'.

Mery moved to nudge her encouragingly, to let her know that someone cared for her. He laughed slightly when she poked her nose against his. "It's not a problem. Everyone deserves to smile. Especially girls with a pretty smile like yours!" She seemed such a sweet girl...the fact she had no mother was just...sad. And something he wished he could fix.
"I'm Mery-apet. It's very nice to meet you, Ebio'Femi!" His voice was sincere, his smile wide.

"Thank you~" She giggled sweetly but it was different from how he said that everyone needs a smile. Her father was one to say that to her when she frowned and quietly sank in and out of her depressions over her mother. She really wanted to know her.. seek her out but that wasn't likely to happen. Her smile almost disappeared but the fact someone cared. Was something she could marvel at. She had met a hand full of cubs and all in which liked to play with her.. but they all had different paths to follow and classes. She knew it was for the better.
"Mery-Apet?" That smile he gave her- she had to return the favor.. "Thats a pretty name." Trying to give a bunch of compliments because he was really pretty but she fell short. Looking up at the moon still in the sky even if it was light out. "Mery-Apet~" She questioned. "Whats your momma like?" She had asked this question to maybe one other person but she tried not to bring up the subject. It was a sore spot but since she had already had spoke of a momma.. it would be good to hear someone else's version of a momma.

Mery chuckled sheepishly. "Thanks. I rather like it myself...it means 'beloved of the earth'. It reminds me that no matter how lonely I might get, my parents gave me a name that tells me how loved I am." At the question of his mother, he thought a moment. "Well...my Momma is a very nice lioness. But she's busy a lot, so I don't always get much time with her. Especially since I have a lot of siblings. But...I don't mind, since I know she has very important things to do, and the time she does spend with me makes up for it."

"Oh?" At least you have one." Saying this in a tender note, as though she could see his mother coming home from a hard days work yet coming home just to be with him. Thoughs times is when a girl misses her mother. She snapped out of her day dreams to look in his eyes. To her surprise.. she found 'him'. After all the talking and wishing she forgot to REALLY look at him. Other than being lifted away to else where.
"Wow..." Her eyes went wide but when she found herself starring she turned away quickly a blush covered her snout. "Ah.." SHe found it really hard not to look at him so she instead tried to find other things. "Do you play- something? Or.. do you.. what do you wanna do when you grow up and umm.." Rambling now as her ears pinned down and looked away to something she didn't even know what she was looking for. Until a bug started to crawl its way between her toes and when she looked down. "AH bug!" She jumped and tossed herself Mery's way and coiled in front of him.

When he realized Ebio was staring at him, he tilted his head, curious. And then she turned her head away. Eh? "I play lots of things. Hide and seek is especially fun." He grinned at the thought of what he wanted to be as a grown-up. "I'm going to be an Artisan, a dancer! Because I like to dance, and to dance in honor of the gods would be wonderful!" He started at the yelp and blinked, then looked to the bug. Puffing himself up as best he could, he put himself between the bug and Ebio.
"Now see here Mister Bug! It's not nice to go scaring pretty girls like that! Now shoo, or I'll eat you!" Whether or not the bug actually registered what he said, it skittered away.

Why she coiled in a ball behind Mery, her ears went big and when he said those words.. She was happy and embarrassed all at once but. The feeling was a crumbling feeling inside. Making her up her body when the bug disappeared from sight. "Wow- that was amazing~ It listeeeennned to you and ebery thing.." Astounded.. then slid her body under him and looked up at him. She did this to her two fathers and mother. Even her brother. "You like to dance?- Wow~ Maybe you can teach me someday?" She tilted her head. "My brother wants to be a guardian~" She chirped. "I wanna be a nanny someday~ To take care.." She stopped and lowered her head.
In a surreal manner she felt like- she lost hope. "Of all the little ones.. whom don't have a home." Then she rolled over and pawed at his stomach- looking up at him. "I wanna give a home to those without." A hefty nod.

Mery grinned and chuckled, nodding. "If you're stern with 'em, bugs'll generally be good." He lifted a paw up when she wriggled under him and blinked. Then smiled slightly. "Yeah, I can teach you. And...that's a nice thing you wanna do." His smile turned into a grin. "I think you'll make an awesome Nanny, and all the cubs you look after will love you like a Mommy."

"Wow~" She pawed up at his chest fur and smiled brightly. "I think I can do that. Stern. Grr." Ears going up with a determined face then laid back with a soft giggle. "You can teach me! Really!?" She said happily. "That would be awsome~ because~ because~ then I could show.." Then she trailed off.. then smiled again. "I could show my pa.. when he gets the time." Then she rolled herself over and pawed herself out from under him. Looking sorta hurt in some way but wouldn't quite admit to it. Casting her gaze away and sighed.
"Thanks. I hope to be a good nanny." Turning around to fully face him and give him her very very nerdy smile that showed she was trying too hard to be happy when talking about mommys and such but it made her blush softly when he complimented her. She wouldn't think that she would but she did. "Like a momma.. that sounds ..like the most happiest moment in my life. To be.. a momma one day." She sighed in a dream like fashion before going up to him and rubbing her snout under his chin. "Thank you for cheering me up.." Giving a slight nod. "So~ after classes tomorrow.. would you mind..?" Chirping it as she was almost embarrassed for some reason. Usually she met a hand full of friends after classes to play but this time it was as if something more was brewing in her tiny chest that made her seem more shy than before. Her voice softening.

The young prince nodded. "Tomorrow, after lessons." It would be nice, to pass how to dance onto someone else! "We can meet up here, so we don't spend forever looking for one another!" He gave her cheek a lick, then blinked as his ears pricked up. "Uh-oh...I gotta go. I think I'm being called." He grinned at her. "See ya tomorrow!" And he turned and started off, cheerful. He had a new friend!
