Vance and Lilah were simply minding their own business, doing their own things in their separate lives. No where near each other.

Somehow, some way, this crazy orb that looks suspiciously like a giant bubble floats on over to you. No matter how you try to avoid it, no matter what you do to stay away (this is if you even try to stay away), it persistently follows you! One way or another, whether it was your doing or the bubble's doing, it pops on you!

Suddenly, you're somewhere else! Is it a dream? Hum, maybe. Hey, who is that other person there with you? Wait a minute...where the heck are you?!



It seems the entire world has turned to Candy! The trees are cotton candy cones or bread sticks topped with jujubes; the bushes and shrubs odd shaped gummis; the grass pieces of tapered licorice; the nearby creek seemed to be made of chocolate milk and the 'stone' path happened to be a whole bunch of smarties. Anything and Everything around them seemed to have turned into brightly coloured candies!

After a little while of exploring this candy coated place of pure sugary sweet awesome, a Sour Patch kid trots up to the pair, proclaiming them the 'Destined Heroes' and asking them to fulfill their destiny...which seems to be saving this Land of Candy!

Apparently, before Vance and Lilah showed up, someone had gone on a quest to find the King of Candyland. They did...the only problem was, they couldn't free him! He was in a Cage in Vegetable land, in a hut made of broccoli and asparagus...not only that, It seemed the Vegetable King was smart and had some guards around the Candyland King's Cage!

He seemed unaware however, that his Guards have an epic sweet tooth. The Sour Patch kid goes on to explain that all they need to do is induce a sugar coma in the four guards to free the King. He'll even give each of you a bag to keep some candy in to bring to the hut! It's simple enough, but they couldn't find anyone brave enough to willingly go into Vegetableland!

Please, they need your help!



Rules
---> Feel free to play in Candyland for a bit! The Sour Patch kid can show up at any time.
---> Roll 1 20-sided dice with each post where you try to get into the hut, and once you're inside, roll the same dice with every post you try to give the Guards a sugar coma! Remember though, the hut is a little ways away from Candy land...if you have to go back for more candy, try to stay together!
---> The Sour Patch Kid will tell you how to get out...but AFTER the King is free! So once all the guards are happily hallucinating on sugar, you may go home.
---> This is a dream, but they will remember it clearly, just like they had met for real!

Dice Rolls

Getting into the hut
1: Not allowed in at all. In fact, the guards are mean about it!
2-9: Not allowed in. They're going to need some more convincing...
10-18: They're considering it, but it takes a long while. Either way, you get in!
19-20: Allowed in, no problem!

Once You're inside...
1: Oops your bag spilled somehow, and all your candy is too gross to eat! Gotta go back to Candyland and get some more. You have to get back into the hut after this! See dice rolls above.
2-9: Well, the Guards don't quite like the candy you offered...maybe try another?
10-15: They'll take the candy you offer them, but it's not enough to go into a coma. Try again!
16-19: It seems the candy you gave them was the right one! But they needed more than one of that kind. Eventually, they lapse into a coma!
20: Woo, instant sugar coma!

Lilah had managed to pry up one of the smarties 'stone' and was seated on the ground, chewing happily on the piece of colored sugar. She looked up, her eyes wide as someone spoke to her, still holding the candy in her mouth. Had she been naughty? Well...she didn't think she had been. And if so, this was just about the worst way to punish her for it! Banishment to a land of lovely, edible sweets? Yes please!

The poor little blond girl had just been minding her own business! She had been reading about a Princess Bubble, who was a stubborn little princess and wouldn't take her baths without the Royal Bubbles. It had been one of the rare occasions where, as she started to picture beyond the pictures in her books, things had started to to shimmer and shine around her, as though the light were bending to make something new. She could almost see the frothy bubbles floating around, had reached up and pushed some across the room.

And then Zuki had spoiled it all! He stole her book from her! (How an inch high blob took anything from a normal sized toddler is something their mother would always wonder about) and with the stolen book, the bubbles vanished.

Except for one, single, lonely bubble.

It didn't seem pretty and frothy like the rest. Liliah watched it from the corner of her eye, as it moved slowly towards her. She inched away, and it grew nearer still. Soon she was dashing from room to room, eventually adding shrieking to the screaming.

And still it followed her!

She finally had gotten cornered in the attic. It stood (floated?) between herself and the little trap door on the floor, speeding towards her. In a last ditch effort. she tried to tuck and roll, but (having never practiced this) her tuck wasn't up to stuff. Her left foot flailed wildly up, as she rolled, smashing into the bubble as it hovered just over her and popped.

So here she was, in the most amazingest of places.

"Are the cookies??" she asked, hopefully. She hadn't seen any, all she had seen were candies, but she could always go for a nice chewy cookie.

Lilah covered her ears. "Waaghh!" she cried. That was the most horrendous noise ever! Candies were for eating, not squeaking! She gritted her teeth until he stopped and then uncovered here ears, just in time to hear his name and ask her her own.

"I'm Li-lah!" she said happily. For some reason, she always liked saying her name. Especially putting a hard stress on the "lah" in her name. She nodded vigourusly. Of COURSE she wanted to find more candy! The pointed at a tree ahead, with pink and blue fluff and what looked like large, cookie looking fruits hanging from it.

She was about to toddle ahead, when 3 strange people-shaped ...things stepped out in front of them. Lilah stared for a moment, at the green, yellow and blue men, who were only just a bit taller than herself.

"We represent--OOF!" The Yellow started, before being elbowed in the "stomach".

"That's copyright, you can't say that!" The Green man hissed. And then: "Awww, I'm sorrrrryyyyy," giving Yellow a hug.

"Um, Fellas?" Blue finally asked.

"RIGHT!" Yellow and Green said together.

Quickly they explained to the two kids how their Candy King was in trouble and how Vance and Lilah would need to free them. Lilah just stared. She wasn't sure how to ask 'why us?' without sounding TOO rude.

Lilah tried to conceal a smile as the frog tongue came out and licked one of the men. She giggled when he made a face, wondering what was wrong with the candy-man's taste. As his tongue came back in, she looked at Lance, suddenly realizing something.

"Fwog!" she said. Wasn't there a story about a lady kissing a frog? She hopped from foot to foot. Was he a prince??

She quickly sobered as the Sour Patch Kids handed each of them a bag of candy, and then nodded to Lance. Lilah would help, for sure!

Those rotten Veggies couldn't keep the coolest King every locked up!

Lilah shrugged. She didn't know if the King tasted sour. She wasn't even sure if he was edible, although, if his subjects were, she didn't see why their leader wouldn't be.

"Pwolly shouldn't eat the King," she said as they walked.

Their trip to the veggie land seemed to go faster than she expected. She noticed that occasionally the smarties beneath their feet would be the same color for a long stretch, and then suddenly switch. Soon the tiles weren't made of candy, but leafs and vines, and shortly after that, they were walking on slices of carrots and beets. Blech!

Lilah watched Vance stroll easily in. Great! she thought, starting to follow after him.

"I'm with him!" she said, smiling a sticky grin.

A guard held out his hand. "Hold it, pipsqueak" he said. He disappeared behind the hut, and it seemed as though he were conversing with others.

No less than 20 minutes later, he came back. "All right, go ahead," he said, and the other guard watched as Lilah ducked in.

When Lilah joined Vance in the inside, she grabbed for his hand again and followed him down the hall. When the guard ate some candy but didn't pass out, she frowned. Well, that was boring. She was hoping to see someone pass out from sugar! (Her mom had already warned her of such things, but it'd never happened before).

Lilah opened up her bag and held it open for the guard.

"More?" she asked.

The guard shook his head. Apparently he didn't see anything on the top of the bag that he wanted. She looked over at Vance and shrugged.

Lilah huffed a little, blowing some hair out of her face. How could they still be awake?? Didn't those darn sugar-men say they'd go into some sort of "sugar" coma? Where they lying?

How were they supposed to rescue the king, if they couldn't get passed the dumb Veggie guards??

She reached into the bag, and dug around, finally extracting a tasty looking piece. It seemed like a large piece of taffy, grape-purple in color. Maybe this would stick their teeth together too?

The little princess-esque girl couldn't help but grit her teeth together. How long could this possibly take? They STILL weren't passing out.

"Gweedy Veggie Men!" Lilah whispered back, as they refused a piece and still stayed perfectly awake. She shrugged. She wasn't really sure what to do now. They kept eating candy, but nothing was happening. Over one guards shoulder she noticed the Candy King. He looked all sad in the cage.

She opened the bag and held it up to the guards once more.

"Take MORE," she said. As the guards only took one piece each, she shook her head. "No, no!" She shook the bag in front of them. "Mooooore."

Lilah thought maybe the problem was that they were only eating one piece at a time. Maybe if they ate a whole mouthful....

Instead, though, they each just nibbled on one single piece. Rotten veggies!
