 Kelder had met many foxes in his youth but despite his effort to put himself out there, he never managed to make any friends. Now he was older, and feeling a bit lonely. This particular day was sunny and quiet in the meadow. The now full grown fox laid comfortably in the grass atop a hill, staring at the sun as it began to set. Such a nice view...it would be nice to share it with someone.
Giving a sigh he looked down to some of the other foxes below retreating to their dens with their mates and kits. He felt lonely indeed, wishing he had the courage to find a mate eventually.

 Lie was walking alone in the woods, she had not had many friends, and thought she was close with her mother she was also someone who didn't lean on others. She was following the trail when she picked up the scent of something or someone near by, following her nose she saw the lovely view slowly coming into sight as she came up from the path. Seeing a some one sitting there she slowly back up trying not to bother them but she stepped on a branch, which cracked and broke under her paw. Not knowing what to do she froze, hoping that hadn't heard. {hope she is ok}

Kelder jumped up as a twig snap surprised him. He flipped over and got to his feet looking around the area.
"W-who's there?" he called, the wind ruffling his fur as it whooshed by lightly. Stepping forward a blip of yellow caught his eye and he turned to the source. A female fox was standing there. "H-hello.

Lie stood there frozen, "Um...um I'm um I'm sorry I uh didn't mean to scare you..." she said nervously. She looked at him, he seemed nice, and he didn't look made just a bit started. "Well uh...hello..."

Kelder calmed his rapid beating heart from the initial scare and offered the newcomer a small, shy smile. He noticed she was frozen, her legs were tight with her own sort of fear; one he recognized very well. He stepped cautiously forward.
"It's ok," he answered quietly. He glanced down at his paws, unable to keep eye contact with her for long. The truth was he was terrified, not many foxes other than his family talked to him much. Even if they did he mostly hid or stuttered until they got bored or irritated and went away. Gathering up the courage to make himself speak again he looked up at her. "M-my name's Kelder, what's yours?"

Lie was still frozen her eyes staring directly at him, "are...you...um..sure?" she said with a small nervous blush. She pawed at the ground nervously, and then said "Its...nice..yo meet you m-my names....Lie-Bao... but you can...call me Lie.." she said sheepishly.

Kelder smiled a little wider seeing as Lie Bao was just as nervous as he was. It didn't help he had zero social skills but even less, if possible, around females. He never knew what to say.
"Y-yeah, it's alright. It's nice to meet you Lie. What are you up to?" he said, his confidence around the girl growing just a little bit. "Me, I'm just lazing around. But I'm feeling sort of hungry if... if uh, you'd like to join me?"
There, he'd said it. And it didn't take him half as long as he thought it would. It wasn't all that hard either. Maybe he'd soon get the hang of talking to other foxes; even girls.

Lie became a bit unfrozen, she could tell that he too was nervous and that she wasn't the only one. she smiled a little and said. "it is nice to meet you as well Kelder." she looked at him her tail swishing gently, "well I am not up to very much, I am just a bit lonely and was looking for someone to talk to..." she said her face a little pink. "really? thank you I too find that I am a little....famished." she said with a smile, her little bit of an accent evident when she spoke.

Kelder couldn't help but feel incredibly happy when Lie said she was hungry too. She didn't exactly say she was coming with him, but he went ahead and made the assumption; hopefully he wasn't wrong. It was then that he noticed she had a bit of an accent to her voice and wondered if she wasn't from around these parts; maybe he'd ask her some time. He looked around for somewhere he could hunt for food and saw the stream to his right. Nope. Definitely not that way. he thought with a shiver.
"Alrighty then. How does rabbit sound? I haven't had one in a while!" he said happily. It was a little white lie, seeing as rabbit was mostly what he liked to eat, since he was terrified of going near water so fish was out of the question; though he did miss the taste from when he was younger.

Lie smiles at him, slowly warming up to him. She gently padded over to him not yet saying anything. She looked around wondering what he would do next, yes she was hungry, she had not yet eaten today and so there for she was delighted at the idea. "Rabbit? I would love some thank you" she smiled and looked at him, again looking around at the lovely scenery.

Kelder tensed up briefly as the girl came closer but forced himself to relax and tried to keep eye contact with her but failed and averted his eyes back to the ground.
"Ah, well that's great. Shall we hunt?" he asked, he didn't have much experience with people, much less girls so he wasn't sure if he should get her a rabbit too or hunt along side her. He opted for the latter with his question. He looked around the meadow before gathering up the courage to look her in the eyes again.

Lie smiled shyly and nodded "yes that would be nice" she paused for a moment, she was still a bit nervous, she was not used to being around other foxes very much and she was also not used to being around males. She sighed softly and smoothed down her nervous ruffled fur. "Shall we?" she said standing up and walking slowly to the path.

Andrew Pottsy Kelder smiled and nodded, trotting to catch up before walking beside her. He was calming down quite a bit, he hadn't said anything wrong so far that would make her hate him or go away so he was feeling confident; at least a little bit more than usual. Looking at her as they walked he smiled again, a soft and shy one.
"I know the perfect place to find rabbits." he claimed, playfully puffing out his chest like he was showing off before bursting into quiet giggles. "C'mon, this way."
He strayed off the usual path and off to the right where high grass grew and a the ground was uneven with overgrown mounds of dirt and plants. Coming close to one of the mounds he crouched down as low as he could go; being green-furred made hunting rabbits all the more easy as he could get close enough to pounce before they noticed him. A small rabbit hole in the mound was in view and he stayed crouched, waiting for one to come out or return. He flicked his ear and looked over at her.
"What's, uh, your favorite kind of food anyway?" he whispered, curious to know more about her and what she liked. He suddenly felt like a jerk, suggesting they eat rabbit before he even knew if she liked it. Maybe she hated rabbit and had only said yes to be nice? What if...? He shook his head to discard the negative thoughts, surely she'd have said something if she didn't like rabbit, right? His mind was still full of doubt.(( I wrote you a novel! xp

Lie was very shy so as they walked she remained a little quiet, she had never had much experience with this sort of thing and so she tried to be relaxed. She felt him trot up next to her and she almost couldn't stop herself from blushing. Being in the same vicinity with such a handsome fox made her fur fluff. "Oh?" she smiled at him, hiding the words she couldn't say. She watched him puff up his chest and she almost couldn't stop herself from bursting into fits of laughter. "Al..right..*snirk*" she lightly snorted at him and then burst into a giggle fit with him, laughing at his silliness helped her get over her fear, and helped her relax.
As he moved off the path she followed him as he went remembering the scent for future reference. When they came to the area she crouched down like him and watched intently as he seemed to have a special way of trying to catch the rabbits. She really liked rabbit and was very hungry. "Oh well I love fish, but my favorite food is rabbit. what about you?"

Kelder calmed himself a little bit as she said she loved rabbit. At least he wasn't going to make her eat something she didn't like much and he didn't think she was lying about it either. He felt happy around her, and was glad he could have made her laugh; he didn't even feel embarrassed about someone laughing at him either.
"I, uh, like fish too, but I haven't had any since I was still a kit. I mostly eat rabbits and stuff now, err.. yeah." he replied with a sheepish smile.
Some rustling of the underbrush caught his attention and he ducked as low as possible. A small, brown rabbit came hopping along probably ready to head back into it's den. Before the little rabbit got too close he pounced, grabbing it up and trotting back to Lie before the little thing even knew what hit it. He held it high, proud of his achievement even though he did it almost every day, it wasn't all the time that he had an audience.
"I, uh, got this one for you." he offered, placing the rabbit in front of her with a smile.
