The Hidden Oasis is the place where shinobis of the Sand Village can rest and relax in between the stages of the chuunin exams. It is a hidden oasis surrounded by vast deserts under the scorching sun, a perfect place for the sand shinobis to feel just like home. The only problem is, the desert surrounding the oasis is in fact quicksand. It takes 1 post of at least 6 sentences to travel through the scorching hot desert and over the quicksand...don't drown

Shay sighs, arriving at the desert that leads to the Oasis. Quicksand, damn, she thinks. The best way to avoid sinking into quicksand is to move very quickly across the surface, she recites in her head. Where did I hear that? Probably some book. She removes her scarf, readying herself to begin the trek across the sand. If worst comes to worst, I can just throw it around a rock and pull myself out, she thinks. She tightens the laces and buttons on her boots, feeling the soft leather mold to her feet and calves, and begins to run at top speed. Her backpack weighs her down gently and she curses in her head. She opens Kyodai and uses her wind levitation to move baseball-sized rocks into her path. She jumps agilely from rock-to-rock, moving before the sand can catch her. Once she's within twenty feet of the Oasis, she throws her bag of equipment onto the firmer sand, collapsing next to it after four more jumps. Exhausted, she forces herself up and drags herself to the Oasis to wait for Tanzu and Kira. Chakra Points:

Tanzu couldn't help but wonder how the hell he'd get across THAT unburned. He thought over it over and over, but soon, his neck was burnt from the blistering heat. He cursed. This wasn't going well. So, he just gunned it, taking to first stage demon mode to sprint across everything in sight, at a surprising speed at that. Speed shinobi and Hachibi...that was rather frightening to think about. He soon arrived, skidding to a stop and ridding of the chakra skin on him. He scowled, wishing for a remedy for this pissed feeling.

Kira frowned when he got there. In the distance, he could see some people by the campsite. Most likely his teamates. there was a large puddle of quicksand preventing him from corssing. Let's see, what did he know about quick sand? Bah! Who cares? Kira, being a speed ninja, ran acroos, but hsi gourd was too heavy, weighing him down just a little. He fell in! Kira used his hand to move the sand in the quick sand away, using Sand Magnet Jutsu. Without Sand, quicksand was just water. Kira swam acroos, reachignthe island, exhausted. Kira moved towards the oasis, drinking. "Hey guys! what's up? He asked, panting.

 David GreysonSunagakure | Ichibi Host | GeninTactics | Speed | Strategy | InsanityStopping at the edge of the "desert" David gazed across. Something felt different about this sand. Bending down and running his fingers through it, he smirked. Quicksand was it now? No matter. Standing back up, David simply stepped out into the sand, using his power to harden it under his feet. Using that technique, he slowly walked across the desert, enjoying the odd feel this new type of sand gave off. The feeling of it trying to pull him in, yet not allowing it to was exhilarating! Finally though, it was over. The quicksand gave way to sturdy desert floor, which soon gave way in turn to the sparse vegetation of the oasis. Completely ignoring the others as he walked by, David sat down by the oasis and went back into his meditation. [Chakra Point Total: 35/35]

Lying in the blistering heat, Shayera feels her skin burning. She looks at Tanzu and Kira on either side of her. Everything around her seems to be swimming in the waves of heat.
"Kira, I wouldn't drink that water. It comes from a stagnant pond." She smiles weakly as she mumbles. "Hello, David." She adds in an almost-whisper. "You guys all made it." Her voice is scarily quiet, her lips too pale. The heat's really getting to her. It's hot in Sunagakure, but at least we have buildings, the wall, and clouds to block out the sun, she thinks, while simultaneously telling herself: I should set up the tent. She tries to push herself up, but finds that she can't move. Uh-oh. Chakra Points:

Kira drank the water anyway. He looked of to Shayera, who seemed to not be taking the heat very well. He had brought a change of clothes, all white, and another all black, in case he needed them. The white ones might come in handy. Shay seemed to not be moving. "hey, is something wrong?" He asked, sincerly worried. He would hate to have a teammate down.

"I think I'll be fine once I get some water in me. I need rest and water. I haven't slept in several days, so once I train, I'm going to pass out. There's four bottles of water in my bag. Will you grab them? There's one for each you, me, Tanzu, and David." She replies slowly, sitting up. Her vision spins and she rests her head against her knees. "I need to learn the next two stages of Pi Qua Quan, plus a few Fuuton jutsu. I have it all written down on a piece of paper in my bag. I feel like I'm going to heave." She adds in a slightly surprised tone. Chakra Points:

Kira nodded, doign what he was told. "Okay, I need to learn some Taijutsu and a couple of Sunaton Genjutsu. It's gonna take me a bit, as I am a slow learner." Kira said, giving Shay her water bottle and drinking form his own.

She smiles her thanks, drinking deeply from her water bottle. She instantly brightens, feeling the revitalizing effects of the spring water. She stands up, offering a hand to Kira.
"We have our work cut out for us." She pulls a folded piece of paper from her backpack, smoothing it out on a large, flat rock. The paper reads:
Kaze Bunshin (Wind Clone)
Description: Basically your typical clone, formed from wind. It is easily bested by any sort of skill, but this clone is still better than the average bunshin as it is able to attack and be attacked.
Kamaitachi no Jutsu (Slashing Wind Skill)
Requirement: Weapon, like a fan
Description: The user uses chakra and a weapon usually to create large bursts of wind at an extent. In reality it is not an actual burst of wind but a tornado that came from the user. The wind slashes objects; at most it can cut tree branches. Like a real tornado, the wind expands as it goes farther and hits larger targets. The wind disappears after being shot for twenty feet and at most it widens to fifteen feet. If this hits you will be severely cut and knocked back, and most genin elemental jutsu are dispelled when they are hit by this jutsu.
Kaze Bakuhatsu (Wind Explosion)
Requirements: Kaze Bunshin
Description: Wind is gathered with chakra into a swirling ball that is hurled towards the opponent. The blast explodes on impact, causing cuts on the target's body if a direct hit. The actual force of the explosion of the Kaze Bakuhatsu feels as if a Gouken Stage 2 Punch is hitting you. A cool down period of two posts is required before this jutsu can be used again.
Name: Daisan no Me (The Third Eye)
Description: A Ninjutsu technique where the ninja uses sand to create an eye through which they can clearly see without fear of being seen. Perfect for spying or collecting information, or targeting an opponent while guarding himself with a wall-defense.
Name: Kaze no Totsunyuu (Rushing Winds)
Description: Crafting a genjutsu around their opponent, the enemy will immediately notice the wind kicking up and beginning to blow violently against them, intensifying to such a degree that vision and mobility become severely hampered. Directions such as up or down become increasingly difficult to separate and even after the genjutsu ends the enemy is often left feeling extremely disoriented and nauseous.
And finally:
Name: Suna Tsume (Sand Claws)
Description: Coating their hands and forearms with sand, the user expels chakra to harden and lengthen the sand to create claw like gauntlets on each arm. They make good offensive weapons as they allow the user to make swiping attacks towards an enemy, or try and disarm a weapon wielding foe, while at the same time providing excellent protection for the hands and upper arm against bladed weaponry. Kira opened up his scrolls. He had a few different scrolls, 4 of them Taijutsu, and 2 of them Genjutsu. He looked around for places to train, even though the area did not look to familiar. This might take a while.

Shayera nods in agreement, starting to form the hand signs for the Kaze Bunshin. She studies the paper carefully before completing the hand seals. A perfect replica of her appears next to her. She dispels the clone and does the jutsu again, forming the signs slowly, to make sure she has it right. Another clone of her appears on her other side and she wonders idly how it will hold up in a fight. Okay, so this clone isn't as weak as a regular Bunshin, but it isn't as strong as me. It has a limit, just like I do, she reminds herself. She dispels the clone in a poof of smoke and tries the jutsu one last time without looking at the paper. A last clone of her appears. IT looks pretty solid, but it can't be as dense as it looks. The clone dissipates and she moves on to the next jutsu.

She carefully pools her chakra into Kyodai, reading the piece of paper carefully. Aiming at a palm tree, she slashes the giant fan through the air. A miniature twister forms from the wind kicked up by her fan. The cutting whirlwind travels some fifteen feet, growing in diameter as it travels. The palm tree shudders once the wind hits it and the palm fronds seem to explode into green confetti from the slashing winds. Deep slash marks appear in the bark of the tree and some of the thicker palm fronds drop to the ground. The twister dissipates once it hits the tree and Shayera watches as the outer parts of the tree are demolished. She focuses her chakra back into the weapon and slashes it through the air again, watching for the cutting winds to form a twister again. More cuts and slashes appear in the tree as the last of its fronds fall to the ground. The path of the whirlwind is full of swirling green bits of palm fronds kicked up by the jutsu. The tree, unable to take much more, begins to lean under its own weight. Chakra Points:

She sighs, one more jutsu ought to do it for today. She reads through the paper, glancing at her diagrams several times before performing the jutsu. She performs the Kaze Bunshin technique to prepare for the last jutsu. She and her clone gather her chakra into a swirling ball and hurl it towards a rock. She watches as cuts appear in the stone surface. Her clone dissipates and she tucks the paper away for the day. She reaches into her bag and pulls out a large folding tent, quickly assembling it.
"Kira, Tanzu, you can leave your stuff in here. This tent should be big enough to house five people."

Kira took of his sand gourd and set it on the ground. It was very heavy, and it would prevent him form accomplishing his next Jutsu. The Gennin smiled as he felt the weight of the very heavy sand gourd fall of his shoulders. It was so relaxing, it made him forget about the blazing heat for just a second. (1/6)
Kira then reached into his pack, rumaging through all the goods he had brought along. Food, water, first aid, and other provisions that would be useful in his downtime from the parts of the exam. This place would have to serve as his home base, at he wanted to have a nice homebase where he could relax. He then picked out a foldable training dummy of straw and fabric. He set the dummy up. After the dummy was placed and the stick that was supporting it was lodged in the sand, Kira began to read his Jutsu scroll. It was Taijutsu. The name of the technique was called Leaf Spinning Wind. Kira stood up, and took a fighting stance. (3/6)
Kira charged towards the dummy, and when he was about 5 feet away, disappeared with a stunning and quick movement. About 3 feet away from his original spot, he tripped and did a face plant. He had been goign to fast. Frowning, he got back up and attempted it again. (4/6)
Kira smiled as his attack went move smoothly this time. He took off when he was close to the dummy, letting himself almsot float from place to place, making soft imprints in the sand as he moved at breakneck speeds. The Gennin appeared right under the dummy, and he kicked it in the chin, knocking it in the air. Kria appeared above it, kicking it downwards, the dummy making a satisfying thump as it landed in the ground, the head and arms a little disfigured and off center. (5/6)
Kira now tried it with the sand gourd on his back. The gennin grimaced as he welcomed the large amount of weight back on him. Kria tried the attack again, moving a little slowly, but he got the job done. In the air, Kira whacked the dummy downwards with the sand gourd, holding on to the red sash he used to tie it to hsi waist. He had learned Leaf spinning wind. (6/6)
